I don't think there is any IRS risk to the leasee here. The idea is that a leased car is bought from the manufacturer by a leasing company and is by definition a commercial vehicle (owned by a company not a private individual). Dan seems to have misinterpreted the situation.
This isn't Boeing's first rodeo . . . in 1969-1971 they had issues with the new 727; they were the largest employer in the Puget Sound area, and before the dust settled they laid off over 60% of their employees. It sent the entire area into an economic downturn for years.
It seems to me that if you cut spending on safety in an industry , any industry through out the world , then it will effect the sales of your goods , so it come of no surprise that this company is in dire states .
Also, Yellow is still fighting the Warn Act. Hopefully, bankruptcy judge will force them to pay 60 days of wages for not giving 60 days notice of closure.
The striking employees accounts for something like 2.3% of their staff. About 33k of 170k employees. They knew it was coming as they have extended the old contract for 8 years
I started at Boeing, Wichita in 1996 as a grade 8 CNC machinist. At orientation they told us that we had 3 years before we would be laid off. I made it 5 years altogether, and 9/11/2001 ended my employment there. They told us Airbus would destroy us because they were government subsidized so they never had to make a profit. This was true. I could go on and on about how bad the union (IAM) was( which I did join, unfortunately) but even back then, the writing was on the wall. At least we still built (737) planes that I would be comfortable riding on.
I have a friend who works at Boeing and he swears it is all managements fault because they got rid of so many QA inspectors to save a buck. But, when I ask him why he needs another person standing there telling him if he is doing it right... crickets. Dan, it was said Queen Elizabeth kept her cereal in tupperware on her table. As always good reporting.
ponder this! will the IRS hold the stealership OR the leasee responsible IF they get caught????
I don't think there is any IRS risk to the leasee here. The idea is that a leased car is bought from the manufacturer by a leasing company and is by definition a commercial vehicle (owned by a company not a private individual). Dan seems to have misinterpreted the situation.
Don't forget all the whistleblowers having "Accidents." Their Homer Simpson space program is second only to Gavin Newsom's High Speed Rail to nowhere.
Shhhhhh death 💀
The days r over for Boeing you can thank the last 4 CEO
Buyers must be keeping a close eye on these problems..
Start looking to Airbus.
This isn't Boeing's first rodeo . . . in 1969-1971 they had issues with the new 727; they were the largest employer in the Puget Sound area, and before the dust settled they laid off over 60% of their employees. It sent the entire area into an economic downturn for years.
It seems to me that if you cut spending on safety in an industry , any industry through out the world , then it will effect the sales of your goods , so it come of no surprise that this company is in dire states .
love ya Dan
Also, Yellow is still fighting the Warn Act. Hopefully, bankruptcy judge will force them to pay 60 days of wages for not giving 60 days notice of closure.
IFITS BOEING DONT BE GOING.
Sue the last two ceos personally.
Last two CEOs are happy 💰💰💰 very happy
Dan was probably like ‘oh darn. I’m not a boomer’. Welcome to the forgotten generation.
Ty
It's the corporate trend. Google has also cut back on employees perks.
Fkkkk google
They have plane contracts up the butt. They'd be better off upping the offer right now.
Boeing isn't going bankrupt contracts are intact by law
The striking employees accounts for something like 2.3% of their staff. About 33k of 170k employees. They knew it was coming as they have extended the old contract for 8 years
The government will save Boeing. 😂
totally. a bailout
..with pallets of funny money.
Boeing takes it by govt in the azz😊
I doubt they go out of business but will scale down drastically
It is not if the IRS, when the IRS starts reviewing the individuals with deduction trigger audits.
Loser
This will affect Rolls Royce too. Their engine supplier and maintenance shop...
Think boing will defintly skip maintenance
Awareness buys time, time buys options - until it doesn’t. Stay aware.
Well, if it's the end of Boeing, it's the end of my company, too. Ugh
I have a friend who works at Boeing and he swears it is all managements fault because they got rid of so many QA inspectors to save a buck. But, when I ask him why he needs another person standing there telling him if he is doing it right... crickets. How bad is your work ethic that a company has to hire an army of people to check your work because you can't be trusted to attach a bolt correctly?
The downfall started with buying Douglas years ago , it changed people's thinking how to build,
Heck, I didn't know Tupperware was still in business...
every time you buy anything in a plastic tub these days, you add to your tupper-ware so it makes sense their sales should be drying up.
That’s soo odd you would say from Wichita Ks while watching this from Wichita Ks 😂
Who calls you names? Say their names, I’ll curse them out for you for free😂😂😂😂😂
Boeing, Boeing, Don't answer that pager! GONE!.....
