Great shows every time. Love hearing the real stories. You need to get Eric Godard and Jim McKenzie on here. Two of the toughest in their times. Would be great to see Nick Fotiu and Val James who were also the top of their time as well. As far as Grimson fighting smaller guys I would say Rocky Thompson held his own the best against Grimson.

This podcast!. Smiles and grimaces. Had to watch but sometimes it hurt. Knuckles, you are at the point of the spear for bringing out every aspect of The Game. Your channel never fails to move me. I've loved this game for six decades, but you bring out aspects I was only subliminally aware of. This game hurts. But it's a good hurt.

Another great chat on some great hockey memories. Stu is a big example of not judging one's character by their looks or what they do. Good job by Stu getting his degree seeing the big picture after hockey was done.

Geez. What a great interview. This is such a great podcast. I really enjoyed this one along with Todd Fedoruk, Jay Miller ,Dave Brown and Claude Lemieux interviews. Growing up in the state of Rhode Island . I was always a Montreal fan. Meaning that I did not have a lot of hockey fans as friends. Loved you in Montreal but cheered against you when you were in Boston. You have an awesome podcast. Never thought I would get to see all these players I grew up watching again. Just wondering if you were planning on getting Rob Ray, Ken Baumgartner or Marty McSorley on in the future. Thanks a lot for the entertainment.

Their were many NHL Champs, Behn Wilson, Dave Brown, Bob Probert, Sandy McCarthy, Tony Twist, George Laraque and Donald Brashear. All these guys beat Probert in fights. Behn Wilson vs Probert was a draw. Probert couldn't beat Behn Wilson. Bob started swinging when the refs intervened in between both fighters on Feb 17,1988. 6 days later on Feb 23,1988 Probert jumped Brown with a cheap shot elbow too Brown's face while Brown was holding his stick. The Gloves dropped with Brown feeding Probert with 4 solid punches. Probert was stunned and quickly grabbed on to Brown's shoulders. Probert was in waltz me around willy mode. Brown smoked him with 2 more punches to Probert's cheek. Bob was cautious and tried a WIMPY HALFER upper cut that hit Brown on his shoulder pad. That upper cut couldn't remash mashed potatoes. 😂 Steve Yzerman's face told the truth. Probert met the real deal NHL heavyweight champ Dave Brown. Probert couldn't earn a win vs Behn Wilson or the champ Brown. Probert never amounted to a bean fart vs those 2 top elite fighters of the 1980's decade. 😮

@@RIUUI007 Yeah Stu and Gary were great guys. I asked Gary about playing with Nick Fotiu and he started laughing and said Big Nicky what a great guy. I said was he tough and he told of a fight that Nicky had in training camp with a young tough guy who challenged him and Nicky destroyed him. Gary said at that point Nicky had a long fuse and rarely looked to fight but hated getting hit and that was when he would get angry.
I laughed and said the old WWF turnbuckle head move and Gary said yes exactly he was so strong that he'd grab a guy behind the neck and slam his head and face into the glass or boards.

Frankly I went back and watched the four fights again to confirm my memory and have it 1 to 3 for Grimson. I gave Langdon one of the fights on points but it was close and the other 3 I gave to Grimson and twice he was a little unfair getting Langdon's jersey over his head and nailing him with shots!

Ep 27 Grapes come on your show Never mentioned this during his interview. AND Ep 60 you laugh at him getting fired.(Turncoats) Grapes explained it and "walked it back?" There was never a winning lawsuit or you would have sued . The whole point of the movie Gladiators was ANIT FIGHTING and the damage fighting is causing the players. And you guys all contributed to it and are proof positive that fighting has effected the enforcers from the 1980s-2006. Yon know I love the show - but I don't like turncoats like you are here. Grapes made the point (maybe had some names off but you were in the doc) that a bunch of fighter are now anti fighting - which is exactly what the message of Gladiators was and of course they use Probert as the key piece.
