I'm going to post this in case you or anyone else reading this now or in the future wants the official DVD but is having problems getting it due to HUGE obstacles that have blocked many in the United States from getting it. I have the Out of this World official DVD (I just got it during mid-2021) and unofficial DVD. Unfortunately, I went through hell trying to get them (especially the official DVD. I had a much easier time getting a Playstation 5 during mid-2021 than getting the official DVD of Out of this World this year. I'm not kidding). Long story short, the official DVD was released ONLY in Germany. It collects about 80% of the 1st and 2nd seasons and is in 720p quality (very crystal clear quality, looks 1080p on a nice TV and good DVD player). However, here are the problems I ran into when trying to get it (warning, this is a long rant, and this only covers about 50% of the problems I ran into. LMAO): 1) The official DVD is SUPER freaking rare as hell. I heard that they printed out less than 10,000 copies in Germany and only in Germany (at least it has an option for the English audio on it). Only ONE copy might show up every two months or so on the German versions of Amazon and ebay... if you are lucky. And when they do show up, they sell out within a few days. Sometimes they will pop up on the UK version of Amazon and Ebay, but they tend to show up more on the German versions of those sites... but again, maybe ONE copy every one to two months or so. For example, I had to constantly check those websites (both the UK and German versions) everyday for two months before a copy finally showed up. That got annoying very quickly and I thought I was hallucinating when I finally saw a copy actually show up for sale on the German version of ebay and Amazon (same copy from the same seller who listed it on both websites at the same time). LOL. I was like "Oh my god, it really does exist!!". LOL. 2) The show wasn't called "Out of This World" in Germany, it was called "Mein vater ist ein Außerirdischer" (my father is an alien) so you have to search for it using the name "Mein vater ist ein Außerirdischer" in both the German and UK search engines on ebay and Amazon. 3) When you do finally find a copy of this damned official DVD for sale (which will most likely be in Germany since the UK rarely has it), the # 1 problem you will find is that 98% of the sellers in Germany REFUSE to ship the DVD to North America and some will get very verbally hostile about finding out that you are either from the United States or Canada. I had an easier time getting a Playstation 5 directly from Sony during mid 2021 than I did getting this DVD during 2021. They will ship to EVERYWHERE else in the world... except the United States and Canada. Some due to shipping costs reasons, others due to just being very angry if you are from the United States and Canada. I've never encountered anything like this before when ordering from other countries (and I have ordered directly from people in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Japan, and even Cyprus which a small but very nice country in Europe. I had no problems with anyone in those countries). Also, Google translate SUCKS when trying to translate messages from English to German (which probably contributed to the chaos). DeepL is a good free translator that actually translates things much better. 4) I couldn't find a seller that was willing to ship to North America, but I found one in Germany that was very friendly (Medimops on the German version of Amazon. I think they are also known as Momox and sometimes operate in the UK as well, but they are a German based company and were very nice to me). I paid $75 for the DVD (and that's cheap compared to other sellers. Some sellers wanted $300 - $400 for it). However, I had to use a "middle service" to get the DVD from them to the U.S. I used Mailboxde where Medimops mailed my DVD that I paid for on the German version of Amazon to them and Mailboxde eventually mailed it to me after I paid for extra shipping and service fee (came out to about $15 in total. I paid for the "cheap" service that takes weeks for the DVD to reach the U.S. There are much faster options, but they are expensive ranging from $50 to $70). Unfortunately, their website is confusing as hell the first time you try to use it (VERY confusing). Luckily I figured it out after a while (and thankfully some of their very nice customer service writes back in English, which is a huge help). 5) There are other "middle mailing services", but I would strongly stay away from some of them like MyGermanyDE (a lot of people have complained about them). MailboxDE was the only one I found that wasn't trying to scam me. 6) I finally got the DVD from mailboxde after some weeks of waiting. Despite it being harder to get than a Playstation 5 in 2021, it was worth it. It's nice to be able to see most of season 1 and 2 (about 80% of it. Some episodes were left out due to music copyright issues) in what looks like 1080p (really 720p, but on a nice TV it looks better). HOWEVER, you have to use a region free DVD to see it. I have a "DR. J" portable DVD player (the blue version) I got from the American version of Amazon that is region free and also hooks up to a TV and it was only $60. I use that to play "other region" DVDs like the official Out of this World DVD. Also, while the official Out of this World DVD starts in German language, it extremely easy to change the audio to English (thank goodness) on the DVD's main menu (pick the last option on the bottom and it sends you to a menu screen in English asking if you want to change the audio to English). On a side note, they couldn't get the music rights to the original theme song for the DVD, so they have some girl singing a "knock off" faster paced version of the theme song in English with slightly different lyrics (which sounds incredibly weird at first, but after a while you get use to it and it gets stuck in your head for days. LOL). 7) As for the rest of the series, you have to get the unofficial DVD (A.KA: someone threw all the episodes they found on UA-cam on to CD-Rs. LOL). The quality is "MEH" (some episodes from seasons 1 and 2 are in 480p, but many from seasons 3 and 4 are in 360p (not bad, but a lot of the picture quality details are washed out and are not clear), but some are in poor 240p where the colors are washed out similar to what's seen on UA-cam. However, the epsiodes on DVD are of SLIGHTLY better quality than what's seen on UA-cam (SLIGHTLY higher resolution) when placed side by side, but NOT by much (It's only noticeable if you place them side by side). The unofficial DVD can be found on websites like HardtoFindTV.

Do a follow-up where they resolve the parent-swap cliffhanger and have Evie discover that her and Chris's kid has the same powers (and Chris doesn't know his wife's half alien!).
Everyone is on about how this is "so '80s" or whatever, but this show came out toward the very end of the '80s and continued through the early '90s. It wasn't a proper '80s show like some others. That said, it always annoyed the crud out of me that the very last episode never aired, the one where her dad was supposed to come to Earth and meet her face-to-face. As a preteen I wanted to see that so badly and it never happened. Also unless I'm completely losing my mind Maureen Flannigan washed my hair once at the hairdresser's when I was like 12. I will never forget this because it was so weird. The girl who washed my hair looked exactly like her and her name tag said Maureen which is not THAT common a name (and no, I didn't "dream this," it really happened). Then when I recently looked up her background indeed she lived where I lived during that point in my life. But it doesn't make sense that an actress would be working at the hairdresser's washing people's hair, does it? Still, it was just so strange! Maybe it's just a very huge coincidence. At the time I was way too shy to ask, because I was 12 and how do you ask something like that anyway?
It's very possible it could have been her. A lot of actors and actresses, even successful ones, will do other jobs on the side. Some acting jobs pay better than others (a lot of acting jobs don't pay much as much as some people think, even ones on mainstream TV), so she might have been doing some side work while in between the movies and TV shows she did. So it's possible. I once worked with a guy in a gas station many years ago who use to work for WWE Monday Night RAW and he needed some extra work before his new job with New Japan Pro-wrestling started.
I swear to god, this actress was my hairdresser once. I'm not making this up. I was only like 11 at the time but I swear it was really her. To this day I'm trying to figure this out, she even had the same name as the actress on her name tag, first and last.
What year would that have been? If it was after around 1991 or so (when she would have been 18) it's totally possible she was moonighting between acting gigs.
Can someone tell me - WHAT IS THIS?! I get it’s Evie from the TV show.. but is she in or out of character?! Was this part of the show? Bonus footage? A documentary? What?!
@@loljustice31 people dont lived in the 80is think late 80, early ninghtys are pure 80 like out of this world, new kids on the block, mc hammer, vanilla ice etc.
I guess they always tried to make singers out of characters on TV shows that kids watched lol. It's weird how I notice that about shows now, but not when I was a kid myself. SMH.

Evie was for the 80s what Sabrina was to the 90s
Was this show in the UK? Trying to remember it!
@TomeeDee86 its simple, we'll never admit that we love corny things. miller boyett knew this, why doesnt anyone else!?
It would be cool to make the TV series Out Of This World into a movie.
Oh it was 80s alright! The very early 90s had the 80s string along with it
anybody got any episodes in english? all i found on here was German
What?!
It a dream. She is dreaming of being a famous singer. Watch the episode of "Out of This Word"
Is she really singing? That voice sounds insanely good for a teenager!
I think Tiffany is singing. She made a cameo on this episode. (T4.E7) I Want My Evie TV
This is the most 80s thing I've ever seen
This episode came out in the early '90s
@@loljustice31 people dont lived in the 80is think late 80, early ninghtys are pure 80 like out of this world, new kids on the block, mc hammer, vanilla ice etc.
Hold up, Maureen SINGS???!!!!!
Ich brauch ne Frau die genau so aussieht wie Evie ; )
did maureen flannigan actually sing this?
LOL I idolized her as a kid
80's shows were so cheesy. I love it! lol
Get over it lol!!!
Just like the clothes you wear lol!!!
Io l ho conosciuta nel film 2 vite al massimo, non sapevo cantasse pure
I have my cell phone light on for her.
It's not Belinda Carlisle who sings it. It's Belinda's Song, but they used another singer for this scene. Belinda sounds a thousand times better.
WHO IS THIS!?!
the actress? maureen flannigan!
No audience?
Maureen Flannigan is still hot.
I think Belinda Carlisle's version sounds a lot better.
I'd love to see what YOU look like. lol!
I guess they always tried to make singers out of characters on TV shows that kids watched lol. It's weird how I notice that about shows now, but not when I was a kid myself. SMH.
Gosh! The lip-syncing is HORRIBLE!
Belinda does it way better :) I was disappointed after watching this.
I've heard better singing by William Hung. William Hung!
