The only reason I can think of is for weird plot reasons that wouldn't matter if they the writer doesn't want. The reason I can think of is Ibuki would be able to tell if Koya wasnt Daji (an aspect of Amaterasu) because her father fought Amaterasu brother Susano and thats it
@@Devil935even that doesn't really add up since Daji isn't just an aspect of Amaterasu, she's literally the chinese og Amaterasu was based off of. So they could have easily made it so Ibuki was thrown off by this thing that is but isn't familiar, further adding to the mystery instead of going with amnesia. Honestly strange how they used the Daji plot as a whole.
I think the reason is that, with amnesia, she is 50% less powerful, then the fight will be more difficult. And as master, we will have too much confidence to win. Remember, in heian kyo : no servant was able to defeat her. No one. Its like Lobstbelt 5 : they killed Karna at the beginning because it would be too easy.
Yeah, we’re supposed to be furious at Scheherazade for simply misinterpreting Romani’s sacrifice and suspicious of Merlin after he’s bent over backwards to help us… but Koyanskaya repeatedly trying to kill us? Nah, we’re good,
I understand the complaint of Koyanskaya and Ritsuka relationship being so indifferent. Alot of people seem to forget that Koyanskaya had more than just a hand in slaughtering the people and destroying the place we called "home" for more than a year. Forcing us to desperately escape with a experimental craft with the few people we could save. Saying her personality and actions were vile (especially during the early lostbelts) would be a understatement. It wasn't untill LB3, once we freed her that she showed to at least have enough sense to honor a deal. (She got lucky that after this LB, Douman took over her spot for being the most deplorable character. and after that we got Beryl and the fairies to fill the void ) But that doesn't take away that she caused us more personal harm than Douman ever did. And what is her reward? She not only gets a Karma Houdini card granted by us but also our help into a possible solution for her "dreamworld" . And she is neither sorry for her actions and all the pain she caused to us and other people nor would she ever thank us for helping her out. She really lives up being the definition of being a "bitch" to the very end.
Bro she is an elemental. A fairy born from the part of the earth nuked by a meteor. She is like Habetrot who was born from the concept of sewing. They are both embodiments of concepts. Of course Koyanskaya is going to be unapologetic about causing destruction. That's literally who and what she is. Even if making dress kills her, Habetrot will never stop sewing.
So...Morgan? Lol. But everyone loves Morgan, and it seems to prove my theory that the only reason why people like Morgan is cause she calls you her spouse.
@casteanpreswyn7528 At least Morgan had a backstory that earned her some sympathy and even then she still got what she had coming betrayed and stabbed repeatedly to death by the people she oppressed and thrown into a pit like garbage. Whereas Koyanskaya after all the horrendous things she done gets a happy ending is BS.
@@gerardomunoz6725 I don't think her backstory gained her any sympathy(we find out in her backstory she selfishly decided not to do her damn job just because she wanted to rule, causing billions to suffer for thousands of years. If anything, her backstory makes her even worse.) Koyan has always been hinted at as being a contradiction when it comes to her hatred and actions. So it's not that surprising they wouldn't just outright obliterate her character.
@@casteanpreswyn7528 to be fair, Morgan was forced to choose between thousands of years of suffering or straight up annihilation. If you hare the world enough to end it, then good for you. Morgan actually loved Fae Britain to let it get pruned. Meanwhile Koyanskaya had no choice. She literally can't stop being angry because she's the fairy of angry animals. Even if she comes to love humanity she can't stop hating them too.
Did anyone notice how weird the dialogues were in Tunguska? Like it was exposition x100. I swear Taigong Wang would repeat the same exposition a hundred times for no reason
@DYhalto250 unless it's Nasu or the other writers you probably liked. Sakurai is always a slog to read though so definitely skip if you don't wanna waste your time and just read a summary of it instead.
The literal fact they tried to force sympathy and even went forceful with the music is like…I know this is common these days but at this point it’s takes more then some Sappy ass backstory where the “Villian” abused the “hero” (I know that’s not the best context for Koyanskaya but you get what I mean) to get us to care. Like if literally every character is ethier pure evil or forcefully sympathetic then what’s the point. Sympathy has to be earned not forced.
Didn't even watch the video yet and I'm pretty sure everyone who had already played Jp complained about how lazy and uninspiring the writing was and what they did with Koyansaka Her character is basically over at this point and they will probably never touch her story and character development ever again They had so much potential and all that 5 years of buildup was pretty much wasted into "I'm just a dumb meteor and also an hater" Nasu should take the blame 100% cuz he literally just pushed the problem for Sakurai to handle with zero instructions what to do with the character
That was the comment I am looking for You saved me from the effort I completely agree She is born for no reason Tunguska explosion have nothing to do with humans yet she hates humans for no reason She takes Tamamo appearance because of "plot" thats the actual explanation she just can take tamamo appearance both as spirit and fox form why? just because she has ability Why does she have that ability? we dont know Why didnt she take Nero another beast form? Because of preference?! This is so dumb
Even those defending nasu fail to realize he may not write that shit, but then his work is giving the greenlight or not So he may not be the author but he authorized this mess to happen so he's the first to blame
It’s spectacularly strange how one can go from Avalon le Fae, which in my opinion is some of Fate’s best writing since the good ol’ days of 2000-2010, have this complex and rich story with greatly developed characters, managed to make someone as despicable as Morgan sympathetic and waifu material, etc. overall a fantastic read, and then the next major bit of story content is an incredibly rushed raid event that’s poorly written, has poorly developed new characters, and completely screws over all of the years of development that was going into Koyanskaya. A massive letdown, and a giant nothingburger conclusion to a major antagonist. I just don’t get why she didn’t receive her own story chapter like Douman did. The fucking GudaGuda events (which are supposed to be lighthearted fun in comparison to the main story) had better writing and more compelling original characters. Well, zehi mo nashi, I guess.
The thing that drives me nuts was they literally had the perfect setup for Vitch to be an actual tail. Literally could have just written it like she sympathized with the Lostbelt monsters and gathered them all so they could all take revenge on humans, that while necessary had shunned them. The whole Vitch was actually a nature spirit was definitely written like it was a twist just for the sake of being one, nothing more. It pisses me off Tamamo's story line gets so much setup without going anywhere while Nero just continuously gets added a bunch more stuff that's largely unnecessary and bloated by now. Tamamo possibly becoming or meeting Amaterasu one day has so much potential but i know it'll never happen cause she's treated as a joke now.
I guess they will make more nature spirits from famous explosions for no reason........Tamamo will be more of joke character I mean I like her comedic moments but sometimes its just too much
I think every single complaint about Koyanskaya's treatment can be solved with a single change; comfirm that she is the Lostbelt incarnation of Tamamo-no-Mae, just like how Artoria Caster is to Artoria Pendragon.
Ironic how Koyanskaya became the new face of the Tamamo’s without actually being one. She sure as hell deserves the name more than Aria. I’m more so disappointed that Holmes was completely absent from Tunguska altogether when there was so much built up to the rivalry between him and Koyanskaya in Lostbelts 4 and 5. Holmes specifically declares Koyanskaya his greatest enemy, only for it to ultimately lead to nothing as he’s immediately incapacitated the moment Chaldea enters her Reality Marble. He gets substituted for Taigong Wang, whose character I absolutely love, but I fell like the chemistry between the two wasn’t worth dropping that plot point.
What annoys me is her boss theme is a literal alternative variant of tamamo’s theme yet she’s not one of the tamamo, Jesus Christ might as well make her Tamamo Alter if she’s the faker literally
The Tunguska event cracked me up because they were talking about how Daji was this great evil being for MOST of the event only for Koyanskaya to be a bunch of forest creatures that got randomly blown up. Koyanskaya was great because she was supposed to be this thing you have to watch out for while fighting the Alien God. Now, I'd rather have Daji or Amatarasu. The way they described Daji was awesome.
I imagined yeeting Koyanskaya into space is going to piss off MHXX. I could see her trying to arrest or destroy someone for unauthorized launching of Beast of Humanity into the Servantverse.
isn't servantverse exist on an entirely different universe? it's not like servantverse is just outside of the milky way which koyan can reach after she got launched into space
I have a personal theory that the beasts in fgo are artistically made to resemble either the primordial water goddess or the god that was birthed from the cosmic egg.
Quoting a famous writer "I've been planting all these clues that the butler did it, then you're halfway thru a series and thousands of people have figured the butler did it, and then you said another one did it? No, you can't do that" That's what i think it actually happened here, but in this case nasu was foreshadowing who was the culprit, then another person took his place and said "nah, i prefer this one instead" and all the hard work went down the drain
I still don’t get lore-wise why they had to give us Koyanskaya of Light and Koyanskaya of Dark as two separate Servants. Why not call Light just Koyanskaya and give Dark the extra special name? What about them makes them representatives of the light and dark sides of her reality marble? Obviously they wanted to do it for the sake of money too, but I still don’t see the lore justifications.
The fact that Koyanskaya modeled herself after Tamamo-no-mae would've been grounds for her to materialize as a Pretender class, pretending to be a Tamamo or Amaterasu herself. Still gonna roll for her Darkness form because you can never have too many Foreigners & her gimmick is inflicting all 3 Damage over Time statuses (Poison, Burn & Curse) & their respective amplifier statuses.
She could have been the greatest and best example for a pretender class (much better than even Oberon) considering she was basically there since the beginning of part2, if they actually managed to write decent foreshadowing and hints, instead of rushing a infodump, flashbacks (that where specifically made for this event) of Tamamo explaining she isn't part of the Tamamo nine, and a horrible conclusion all crammed into a single event...
I always supposed she was gonna disguise as tamamo no mae during one of her many assassination attempts and that would lead to a reveal, she's a tamamo blah blah blah
FGO's narrative is getting shittier, what do you expect? Almost nothing is consistent and the hype for the game is slowly getting lower and lower due to the absurdly long gap of updates
Only problem I had is that she didnt really hate humanity that much because the animals thought they died to human weaponry but it was a meteor, yet she still has complete mastery of human weaponry. Idk if I missed something but why is her hatred superficial yet her gun mastery is OG level. Just because shes a god thats built different? Also I dont get why bargaining is so important to her so I must be missing something. They couldve just said the despair of animals gave birth to her and she absorbed the emotions of animals tamed by humans, hunted by humans, and even some humans themselves. Instead they went with 'Im indifferent, but youre in the way. Also, I just wanted to look like Daji because I empathize with her, but no relation."
Honestly this could've made her a Pretender servant candidate The concept of the tunguska event pretended to be Daji/Tamamo to reach the level of a Beast That way her not being actually a nine tailed fox would've made some sense to an extent
It's weird isn't it? For such an important character in the story to be treated as such in the end. Even the story was sidelined to LB 6.5 with minimal gameplay format. They should've at least concluded her story in LB7. That would have been so much better.
Something that really bother me was the lack of explanation on why we have a koyan of light and on of dark. In my case i would had explain it by saying that koyan of light is the real tamamo vitch and dark is actually the tunguska meteor that after optaining a self awere it took vitch place and her nff buisness, while imprisoning the original one in her reality marble as a battery, that way during the event we could had got vitch as servant helping us to defeat the fake. As for her beast apperence instead of going with her being beast IV just say that form is the result of her consuming other beast and creatures from the lostbelts, as for her power have it come from her contract with the Foreigner god and her using the power of amateratsu.
Anyone else think Koyanskaya and Ashiya Douman met very similar fates? Both were more scary and fet like a bigger threat than the final boss when they were kn other Lostbelts than when we see them in their own home bases... Douman turned into a joke character who always messes up his plans than get dumber with each step... And they tried to make Koyanskaya a sympathetic villain. But she too also keeps getting more incompetent in her own Reality Marble... Both gail to be mature Beasts. Douman because they made him dumb and Koyanskaya because the wroters said she needs 9 tails amd she can ONLY collect ONE specie from each Lostbelt. But the writers don't seem to know hoe maths works. If one specie makes each of Koyanskaya's tails, how can she get 9 tails from SEVEN Lostbelts when the writers have restricted her to only taking one specie from each of the SEVEN Lostbelts... And Melusine one shot one of her tail's spirit core and then she got herself cursed by a dead furry god in the SAME Lostbelt... Why would she risk her tails when her full Beast Maturity hinges uoon having at least 9 tails... The writes even made it so she doesn't know what happens inside of her own Reality Marble. But at least they proved that you can invade and escape from a Reality Marble using methods such those used by Chaldea. This is like Year 1 writing for Singularities like America, France and Fuyuki to name a few. Ass Pulls.
@@cameraredeye3115 True and real. Even Qin Shi Huang sent her running with her tails between her legs. And he's definitely weaker than those lb7 powerhouses, especially ORT. Dont even start with how she begged Chaldea to save her from God Juna. Meaning he could have deleted an immature Beast IV with his NP. Now that I think about It, the ONLY Lostbelt King Koyanskaya TRIED fighting without running away was Qin Shi Huang... Imagine if she went vs Zeus and Chaos lol. Bro when you point out all the future enemies that can beat her she looks less and less of a threat...
Neither of them ever felt scary. Douman is a cartoon villian with edgy pentagram magic and kyounskaya was a regular "hides violence with smiles" type villian you find everywhere.
Did FGO Fumble With Koyanskaya In Tunguska? Nasu: Yes. Honestly, Koyanskaya was already a problem since her main debut and everything related to her writing was tied to Nasu from the beginning. The mushroom man did it again!
That's what I'm saying! Omg I'm not the only one. And isn't it salt to injury to have an entire flashback scene *SHOWING* Caster Tamamo and Berserker Tamamo talking about Tamamo Koyanskaya and yet they themselves didn't actually show up to find out if she's Daji or not... So many Red Herrings...
It feels fumbled in like several ways. Mainly in how they handled the new servants in relation to Koyanskaya. Putting aside how they murdered the theory of Daji and Mooncell vitch, and how the new origin is convoluted to hell despite being logical. Her appearance isn't and neither are her powers in relation to it which could have fixed by using BUILD UP and not just having it be all revealed in 1 fucking 10 days event. Nikitish provided nothing to the story but a twisted reveal that Koyanskaya survived thanks to her at the literal end of the story. Jiang was treated so laughably bad it's amusing. Despite his abilities being very on brand since his supposed to be on zeus's level. If Koyanskaya wasn't daji it should have been obvious as fuck to Jiang. If Nikitish was the one who helped koyanskaya survive early on then she needed to have more reaction and action to Koyanskaya. If Jiang really was a grand servant he should have been able to do far more and realize far more since Holmes isn't there to make that realization. instead it's all done spur of the moment making it feel like an ass pull.
@blaneonthemoon2507 ye. I know that. But saying that his a candidate means that if that spot was free he would be there. So yeah, just annoying how they fumbled it so hard
@@blaneonthemoon2507 True and real. He didn't bring any receipts. And there is no one or anything else other than him that can help prove or disprove that he is. And he shouldn't have to say he can be a grand. Nothing he did proved that he's a grand candidate. Time travel has been done by even Ashvattaman and some other Servants helping him. We have Servants who can teleport large numbers of people, but admittedly not as fast as Taigong can. We have at least seen Gilgamesh teleport Shinji using his Gate of Babylon to the Einzbern castle. Basically his feats have more or less been replicated by other Servants before him. It just felt like they did him dirty just like with Rama.
To be fair being Grand candidate don't mean smoke, without grand graph they really are just normal servants, the requierement for Grand casters is especially easy, having clarvoyance EX, meaning that even romulus 3* is a Grand caster candidate, the Grand title is a big ass boost, but the Grand candidate one is literally nothing, as soon as he said he was a candidate for Grand caster but manifested as a rider you should understand that he's no Grand and koyanskaya is no Daji, it was a weird foreshadow but it worked ok to me
I haven't played Tunguska myself (I just started Act II of LB6) but from what I heard, it almost feels like the original plot and idea were different, but they got changed down the road for some reason.
Nasu was the original writer of this event but had to drop the position to work on another project (which i forgot what he had to work on in 2020 or so) and left it to Sakurai who's infamous for contrivances and overrepition like in EXTELLA and Last Encore. And we all know how Last Encore went.
@@icefiredragon94 nono last encore is a whole separate issue. And extella was a really good story. Sakurai and Nasu are very similar writters on top of that the contrivances in extella were all FROM NASU. Sakurai in fact did the simpler parts of Extella. Last encore issues are entirely production problems as the original script that they released as a novel just highlights the amount of stuff they cut out due to production problems. It was entirely problems with shaft studio and its director.
12:32-14:57 i felt the same thing to these comments too for a non-Tamamo she seems to close to being one,has her voice and have some similarities to her but still not a tamamo I wish she had a different design for me to believe that
I like the characters un Tunguska. But the writers did nothing with them. Take Rider Niki. She supposedly goes back in time after we defeat Koyanskaya just to remanifest at the point in time Koyanskaya is born. Or it implies a connection to something like Koyanskaya. But if they went an pit that in the epilogue, they should have done something with it throughout Tunguska and show that connection. Koyanskaya never showed that she recognised Rider Niki in that way... And we never find out the True Names of the Blitz team that got unsummoned when we entered the Tunguska Reality Marble, other than Ibuki. Why was Koyanskaya done dirty and under/overdeveloped like you mentioned in the vid. What was the point of Habetrot minimal role and Ibuki's amnesia. Why was Taigong done dirty and turned into a comedic relief guy when he's supposed to be a Grand Servant but always messes up... His lore makes his seem as equal to or higher than the Divine Xian... You could remove Rider Niti and the story would not change or suffer. Nobody gonna mention how Taigong would personally dress and undress Mash in and out of her battlesuit... Why does Koyanskaya of Dark have a story event but Koyanskaya of Light doesn't. Since Koyanskaya came early to Chaldea as Koyanskaya of Light... How come she DIDN'T appear on our side vs Koyanskaya of Dark. Imagine Koyanskaya having a Reality Marble that's basically Unlimited Blade Works but it summons creatures instead of blades. But somehow they did NOTHING with her Reality Marble...
I guess I expected too much in terms of lore for this event, I initially thought that she was amaterasu because I saw Dark's NP and it was very cool, and also thought the Tunguska meteorite was the rock that sealed her in the legend. It would have been a better lore for her than that imo :c
Mm, Koyan was very compelling as a force of chaos and cruelty in the lostbelts, and I found her semi-alliances in the Indian and British lostbelts to be very entertaining! I loved the tension when she was on the border to escape being erased in one of the Yugas. This event was an oddly deflated end to her, and I’ll enjoy her history a lot more than her ending
I hate it when they lock story relevant content behind time locks, despite liking SERAPH it should have been a permanent singularity since it's a part of the main story, I didn't finish the event in time because of having to complete Avalon Fae so now I'll never know what happens to Koyanskaya which they've built up for years in the main story because of course it's time locked not and not even for 2 weeks, I'm actually extremely livid about this.
Honestly...I kind of feel like they did. I'm cool with the idea of a servant originating from the Tunguska explosion. That's fine. But Koyanskaya? Really? It really feels like they used Tamamo's appearance with no plan for what her actual origin was going to be and solely to get people hyped for Act 2. If that wasn't the intention, that's fine. But it sure feels like it. Why the heck couldn't she have been one of Tamamo's tails? What was it hurting to do that? It's just weird. They had characters with some connections and dynamic with Koyanskaya like Holmes. But they just dropped two new servants. One of which actually named her! Although that doesn't at all come up in the main part of the event and is just a last second throw in for the epilogue. Honestly it just seems weird. Even things like Ibuki's amnesia felt weird since it didn't matter to the plot. Definitely not their best work. And kind of too bad that one of the main antagonists for Act 2 goes out like this. I'm fine with her not dying. But I'm less fine with the story choices made here.
You know it’s bad when even Douman got a proper conclusion to his character more than Koyanskaya. Honestly Sakurai fumbled the story so hard that I can't even look at Koyan light and dark the same way again. Congratulations SIN your not the worst story in Part 2, Tunguska takes it 100%.
Like Douman she went out sad but it was a bit worse since at least with Douman his writing and buildup was consistent. Koyan felt like nasu didn't know what he wanted so he said screw it and let her story fizzle out before dropping her on someone elses lap with no conclusive end (Sakurai ain't to blame). Her lores actually not bad, sure it feels somewhat cheap to drop the Daji thing the way they did, but there were hints sprinkled around to add to the mystery of her identity that clashed with the Daji idea since LB3. Her looking like Tamamo because she imprinted on Amaterasu and formed herself in her likeness is interesting, especially cuz it makes her somewhat of an honorary daughter for Tamomo instead of another tail. Her mom Dobrynya calling her a rabbit multiple times also hinted that she's not even a real fox at her core, further poking at her not being who she claimed. With all this said tho, why wasn't she a pretender? Wish we got a Tamomo vs Daji (the og/inspiration for tamomo) situation instead of one with Ibuki, no Tamamo, fraud Koyan, and space egg. At the end of the day i still like Koyan a lot and hope when the dark version comes back around story wise shes finally given the writing she deserves.
I thought this event would been longer, like really longer and was surprised that it was over so quick. I was expecting some fun batner here and there, and then I was expecting a vision of Ama-chan, then conclusion. Oh well got Bond and QP I'm happy
I agree the concept went in too many directions, I just don't really think she was ever built up to being a Tamamo. She never felt like one to me. And I was one of the people who knew Tamamo before FGO.
Did FGO fumble with Koyan in Tunguska? Yes. Like, 100% yes. This is unironically one of the biggest fumblings for an antagonist and character in general in fgo. I agree with pretty much everything you brought up in the video, the entire event story especially the ending is just a disappointing mess.
Tunguska's been Nasu's well-explored and life-long themes really. "Fake/contradictory existence bound to identity crisis", the staff with wanting/having an urge to do what your impulses/origin tells you to do - in Koyan's case, she was born out of both the victims of the incident, the incident itself, and moreover, out of the perception of the incident by its victims. Despite being born as a result of a natural phenomenon, she views her birth as artificial too as the animals she considers an example of natural beings have parents and mates. She consciously insists on having mentality like Daji's or og Tamamo/Amaterasu who in some form or shape is confirmed by Dobrynya to have been there in the moment of Koyan's birth (which I interpret as an attempt on Koyan's part to be all natural and have an "imprinting" moment) but unconsciously/truly (in story terms "not on surface level") takes after Dobrynya whose existence at the moment of her birth Koyan principally denies and who admits to having the ultimate regret of failing to be a caring parent for their children (Also The Sun Goddess goddess of creation motherly rather than cruel aspect). I believe that Dobrynya in 1908 might've been an actual male one and later his wife somehow switched with him to see to it how this newly found child of theirs ends up because of how bad with spending time with family actual Dobrynya is (female Dobrynya's characterization during Tunguska implies she "would be" a good mother while the 1908 moment Dobrynya states that he only made sure she survives with food). And we know from Koyan's monologue that the ultimate goal of hers is to feel the affection of a mother (as in caring for her children and protecting them). So far her affection for them is too much of a conscious effort, an operation, an experiment of sorts, it's too human-like, and she wants it to be "natural" and unwavering. Gomen for this wall of text.
I honestly expected her to be a like the real lore tammano somewhat sadistic or to show what the original Amaterasu might’ve had in her abilities or to be a starting point of a rebirth to be the closest to having the original nine tails Damn I wrote alot my bad 😅
Tbh, The Tamamo nines have their own unique Characteristic and Personality. The tamomo we know might not have those traits like in real life role. But there might be other Tamomo that have those Characteristic. This like saying both Abe-no seimei (The one who revealed Tamomo) and Tamomo Mae (the one we know) becoming the victim even tho she did nothing wrong is both correct. Because we don't have full idea about who is the rest of Tamomo nines is.
While Sakurai may have written tunguska who also wrote other fgo chapters so to be fair it's not as though her writing has been all that well received either. On more than one occasion the stuff Sakurai writes is typically what most consider fgo's weakest writing where I think the best reception she's gotten is probably heian kyo and that's being nice about it. But at any rate in regards to Nasu the reason most jump on him over Sakurai in this case is because Nasu himself takes charge when it comes to certain characters and stories in regards to fate. Tamamo as well as anything related to her is among those things he tends to take full charge of and because of how he openly stated how he was going to be handling the tamamo 9 reveals which is honestly very dumb and a bad idea in the long run, this made the whole situation with koyanskaya unfortunately difficult which if you know Nasu and his habits wouldn't be the first time. Sakurai may have written tunguska but whether she created and wrote everything about koyanskaya is a bit unlikely. Even then and despite all this there is a strong possibility Nasu is going to end up backtracking all this and change his mind in saying koyanskaya both light and dark were always Tamamo 9 tails. And yes he has done that kind of thing before where he will outright retcon some established rule.or lore just to make an idea work in what many would say was originally not possible.
Honest opinion: Koyanskaya would have a more satisfactory ending if she had an remote island on earth to control, but could not attack humanity directly, the space egg was literally an *ss pull. Made Dobri more relevant to the story other than strong warrior that only had her relation with Koyan revealed at the ending. Changed Ibuki to Douman, as he is a failed Beast and worked for the Foreign God, so we could see better the difference between the two characters. Put Homes as an active character that would help you solve the mystery of her character.
I'm more excited for new daji lore drop since I'm really interested in daji character not just fate but in general so this new little bit of lore for daji is good
Gotta admit, it feels like something that they pulled out of their arse last minute rather than something that was planned for ahead of time by being hinted at prior. Personally, I still like the reveal but it could've been handled better.
tbf, Koya herself said she was never a Tamamo. The particular story may have had some flaws(not to me) but ultimately the concepts were as they were meant to be
@@darknessknows1235if it was mentioned once, then most people would forget it at some point like me. I see your point but I kinda ment them putting more effort in. Like sprinkling in more moments that gave us doubt to her being another tamamo than just her telling us once.
You know it would have been easier to explain she looks like Tamamo because Amaterasu claimed her as a daughter, hell if thats the explanation for how the Fair Faced Foxes exist it make sense. Amaterasu claims you and therefore you proceed to look exactly like her, plus gives her a reason to look exactly like Daji. She might not stem from the same saint graph but skin deep she would be equivalent.
The only thing I didn't like about the event is that we didn't get to kill her in the end. I mean, yeah it was a nice that we got something different, but I really can't forgive her for her part in destroying Chaldea.
What actually bothers me is what is the deal with Koyanskaya of Light? Where did she come from? Why was she released a whole half a year earlier and then her existence doesn't even get acknowledged in this chapter? I figured if there was ever a point to introduce her character properly it would be Tunguska with both her Light and Dark Sides representing her inner love/hate conflict for humanity but instead we get nothing? Just makes it seem like they're milking Koyanskaya for easy money and rubbing salt in the wound with the broken dreams of Tamamo fans who never get proper representation in FGO...
yea i was wondering too who was light. i was thinking they would like split hersomehow in the story or something and they become good and thats how we get to summon her as a good servant but nah they never did that.
I thought she would get the moriarty treatment by dividing her into 2 different servants Why the hell do that? If you want her for another class then wait for her to become a summer servant or something...
I didn't necessarily have any issues with tunguska before, even after reading the wiki but now that I've seen this video, as well as the epilogue( the raid and translations errors did not help either) I feel disappointed. Lb3 was better than this. Hearing about the daji bait and switch 2 years ago, I found interesting cause it was oh she just slandering Tamamo name and I had a feeling she had some relation to Russia cause her name was just so weird and at the time oberon just came out so I was still on the imposter train myself, something fgo gonna be on for till summer themselves but they really introduced Taigong just for him not be able to put in work and simp for daji and be a budget Merlin(CN server is gonna have a field day with him). Now don't get me wrong I do like his and nikitich characters and there legends clearly shows they are well accomplished, but their presence in the story is random and lacking( like who is nikitich really, where are the interludes), ibuki... same thing like her personality but... why. While I did like Vitch ending was somewhat satisfying( even though she comes back) all I can say is just like trying to say her name when it was first revealed, tunguska was just that... a mouthful
I see a lot of people saying that Sakurai is not to blame for this and Nasu should be the one to blame due to pushing Koyan finale to her and having no plan for her. While this is true, Sakurai coming up with such a pathetic conclusion is even more unacceptable. If this is the best she can come up with for a character that followed us during most of part 2 then it is clear she has no place in a franchise who's one of its biggest appeal (aside from waifus) is the lore, this is actually not the first time she messes up a big secondary antagonist, the way she wrote Lev in Septem was equally as bad after how he was built in Fuyuki and after what he did to Olga and the others. Most if not all of Sakurai's content are huge turds, she wrote the 2 worst stories of part 1 (Septem and London), for some like me the worst story of part 1.5 (Shimousa) and the worst stories of Part 2 (Olympus and now Tunguska), her other stories are subpair. Not to mention that in Last Encore Nasu said about how he had no experience in writing for anime but Sakurai was working with him because she was experienced in anime and everyone saw the pile of shit that it was. She's also well known for her writer pets like Nero or Musashi both which I came to despise and fear their inclusion on any story. Now we have this, a character that was built since the start of part 2, that was written as a detestable evil bitch, written as beast candidate, written as Holmes rival, shares the Tamamo name but might be something else, etc. Nah, let's thrown most of that to the garbage she's some accident born of a meteor and dead animals that saw the nine tail fox's tiktok and though it was the coolest shit, meanwhile also insert her foster mother in the same story that could be cut and you wouldn't even notice anything changed because they had nearly no interaction, let's also add Taigong that is supposed to be a massive genius that was 100% sure she was Daji and he ends up looking like a complete moron, you add the fact that he bragged about how he was easily a Grand Candidate and he comes looking like a moron that has some skills and overvalues himself and is no way near that level. As someone that saw Houshin Engi seeing Taikobo being butchered like that was sad, even more when Taikobo looks and acts like a moron but when the time comes shows he has the wisdom and the planning to thrive. Meanwhile Taigong is the complete opposite as he looks like he means business, looks wise and talks big but when the time comes messes up big time. It's hard to believe they are based on the same character given how they are polar opposites. Sakurai's writing is a plague on FGO, while Nasu is to blame since he should have made a plan for Koyanskaya, Sakurai coming up with such a pathetic resolution is unacceptable, if she thought she was not up to the task she should have told Nasu to ask someone else but never ruin a character like that and deliver such a half assed story to the players. If she though that was an even remotely acceptable conclusion then it is clear she has no clue about what's she's doing. Also It is fairly clear Nasu has idea how to end this and Ordeal Call seems to be a way for them to buy time until he comes up with something. I suspect we are going to get some subpar stories from now on including LB7 despite being written by Nasu, I hope I'm wrong.
I spoiled that plot twist for myself months back after I went finding out more about her, so I guess I lost the chance to get mad with the proper reveal. Not that I'm far enough in the story to play the event anyways, so...
So I don't think this event mess up koyan character, but it didn't add on to it in any meaningful way. Draco, kama, kaira, all got their own event that gave a lot of character development, while koyan didn't get that much. Like what got revealed here, we could pierce together from koyan light. So it wasn't that big. Plus they treat her more of a setting than a character (since this event takes place in her reality marble), which just doesn't work for koyan. Also it felt rushed since it was a one week event , which shouldn't be for a beast event. If it was a two week event, then it would be able to not only treat koyan as a setting but also a character. Over all this event is like a eight or seven out of ten. I feel most people thought this was going to be a seraph or lilim harlot type of event, but it wasn't cause it being a one week event and with how it treated koyan as a setting rather than a character. But still hype for koyan dark and her being in lb 7.
It's not even about her not being those things, it's the twist of her being some..."God forbid" Vengeful Ghost of Animals of Tunguska which she herself killed. Like bro what? That shit made zero sense.
She's not a ghost. She's an elemental. A fairy like Habetrot or Arcueid. The moment someone imagines "there must be a creature that's really good at sewing" Habetrot is born. The moment someone imagines "what must mother earth look like?" Arcueid is born. When someone looks at Tunguska and thought "poor animal must be in a lot of suffering", Koyanskaya is created, and she's created with that preconception of how the animals must he suffering, even if not all of them are angry and suffering
@@straypaper Ok...I understand the logic of elementals. However! Why would these elemental be Vengeful against Humanity when the one who killed them is a meteor from outer space? How on shit does that make any sense?
@@squalleonkeneddyheart4191 she can't help it. She was created to embody angry animals. You can't blame a knife for being sharp. That's just what a knife is. If it's not sharp then it's not a knife anymore. That's the deal with Koyanskaya and why she is so contradictive as a Beast. She grew to love humanity as she learn more about them, but she can't stop being angry because that's her whole being.
@@straypaper ahhhh.......I get i- No I don't lol It's way too convoluted, its execution is poor, there is zero build up, those who claim this story is good are just contrarians for the sake of being contrarian. Shitty Stories happened in this game before like agartha, Septem, London, etc. why y'all so gung ho about defending this now that someone laid all the faults in the story on why it is shit?
@@squalleonkeneddyheart4191 convoluted? This has been hinted waaaayy back in Olympus and waaaaaayy back in SIN. Koyanskaya is a Beast called the Calamity Star, and yet she is not at all related to Tamamo despite looking exactly like her. So no, it had buildup and foreshadowing. It is also not convoluted aside from the Tamamo face being a bait and switch. There is nothing complicated about her at all. She is just an entirely new character whose identity gets revealed little by little. That is all. You don't need prior knowledge of anything outside of FGO if you just pay attention every time she is mentioned.
I don't know if @Tsiah IV will see this but could we get a what if video similar to the Knights of the round table vs Heracles group but the combatants will be Gilgamesh facing Cu Chulainn and Achilles in a 1 vs 2 Handicap match Day 7
Tunguska seems to be a lot of "it's not but it is." Anyways, Ibuki with amnesia was neat and all but what if we did it with the Ayy Lmao God? Surely that's a good idea.
I also kinda felt that the story was rushed. Many people hated this event mainly because she is not one of the Tamamo nine and it was understandable because of the hype of having another Tamamo in the game. But Taigong save this event for me, tho I'm not fully satisfied with how this events end because I feel like that there should be more to it. Yet I kinda like the idea of both Beast IV not being totally defeated in a fight. Tho, I don't know why some people hate the idea of Koyanskaya losing in her own territory where she had the advantage. I mean she was hit with a millennia years old curse from a major nature god and Taigong developed a anti-Beast noble phantasm for her. Taigong, albeit being nerfed, still managed to create a spell that could counter the system of that place and I think he should be that competent for someone who can qualify for both the title of Grand Rider and Grand Caster. I mean if he can't do that much then I highly doubt he can be a Grand Servant.
its actually the inverse for me, Taigong ruined it. We went from the brilliance of slow buildup LB6 had were we got small bits or lore as the story progressed and notes updated etc. But what did we get in Tunguska? Literally Taigong talking out of his ass about magic concepts we have never seen in FGO. Entire event was us just sitting and reading about how Taigong can do all these things with his magic and thats the end. We are just supposed to sit and accept a new character ramble about magic for the entirety of the event. This is not even how storytelling works.
They see it as much as a western writer sees Japanese fans feedback on Japanese websites (or the sections of global websites algorithmically sectioned off by geolocation and language used)
Honestly, as a JP player. The story goes downhill way bad post lb 6. Koyanskaya's story made little to no sense. Traum was tragic, a lot of loose ends. LB7? Don't even get me started on that shitshow. I won't explain what happened in any of these but please don't have high hopes of the writing team going forward.
I would say that LB6 is an anomaly that it came out as it is (and it has been confirmed that it received a rewrite that, according to Nasu himself, was Oberon's fault) In fact, none of the LBs before LB6 seems to have been liked by everyone: there is always something to criticize in each LB (even LB6, the one considered the best of the group)
@@brunosanto3488 yea there will ultimately be things to criticize. Even in things like LB 6. However, the absolute scene of FGO post LB 6 is just, a sharp graph Decline
I feel like Koyanskaya should have been two characters. Her corporate KoL side should have been a Tamamo nine, becoming a weapon modern goddess to distance herself from OG Casko. Her Tunguska side should have been a completely different beast altogether, not even tied to Tamamos. The whole weird Tamamo thing just makes Koyan's Tunguska story worst for nothing.
i personally enjoyed Koyanskaya throughout the entire event, the Lostbelts she was kinda… unlikable, but Tunguska rlly made me appreciate her character. maybe it’s just me.
The execution was just terrible. Entire event was just Taigong wanking and coming up with solutions that are possible with magic concepts we never had before in FGO and we are just supposed to sit there and read about how Taigong can do all these things. Nothing to think about.
Honestly i just don't see the problem with either the story or the reveal itself, it's not the first time they pulled a servants not who you think they are, half of LB6 , Skadi , I guess Artemis, and Abby just just to name a few. Edit: but yeah, Ristuka is an idiot for not trusting Tamamo's word at least a little
To be fair none of your examples gut punch you halfway through the story like Koyan did she was built up for something more clearly only for Tunguska to fumble. Like literally she appeared in Six LB meanwhile again your examples all those characters existed in one LB at best
Compared to those examples, koyanskaya was constantly anticipated to provide more context for the tamamoes for years just to ultimately amount to nothing
She is a manifestation of the Tunguska event given form, and she decided to replicate the concept of a 9 tailed fox (I say 9 tailed fox and not tamamo because she tried to replicate basically the Chinese version of the 9 tailed fox not the Japanese version which is tamamo(it’s kind of goes back and fourth of wheather or not they are the same thing and tamamo just doesn’t want to acknowledge it))
@@sootythunder3111 Not sure what Nasu has been smoking but wouldn't it be easier to understand if Koyan is one of Tamamo's tails? but then got taken control by Amaterasu
@@desmondmalone438 Yeah, I mean before this video I actually thought that Konyanskaya was a Tamamo and Koyan of Dark was actually Amaterasu taken control
Don’t even get me started on how lazy the new years banner was. They didn’t have a second ssr on the event. Had a week break then Christmas event then another week or whatever break then made koyanskaya part 2 as the new years ssr. Btw does that one ever even appear in story? She certainly wasn’t in the event
Fumbled hard. Like most of the dialogue was cringe and they used way too many hums and ahhs for no reason. Like wtf The worse of all was taigong. His dialogue was just repetitive. A not even mad about the deal with kyonkaya since its plain as day they wouldn't kill her off the moment taigong flashbacks started.
I’m not going to get into my grievances with Koyanskaya and her subsequently shit ass event. We’d be here all day. It’s sad that these days, I mostly skip the events that don’t interest me. And the events I do participate in, I skip the story cutscenes.
I thought Douman couldn’t become a beast because he didn’t love humanity (which is supposedly required to become a beast) yet Koyanskya was able to mature into one despite being indifferent to humans????
Well remember, she wasn't able to. She was just, like, a candidate or something, and wasn't able to mature into a fully fledged.Beast. Her indifference/half love half hate kept her from becoming one.
She was able to become one because she understood humans' place in nature. But at the same time wanted them to suffer since she was trying to become the hunter instead of the hunted, using the survival of the fittest comparison. You don't have to have much love for humanity to become a beast, just a warped sense of love towards them.
Tunguska has not only killed the hype that's been building up since LB5/6, it also foreshadowed just how little Lasagna would offer to their players in the foreseeable future. Architype Earth at least saved their grace a little, but if they can't bring anything (or anyone at this point) interesting on the table in 2024, then we can get ready for this game to enter its end of service phase.
I actually enjoyed what they did with Koyanskaya and Tunguska, even if I didn't understand a couple things. I'm just upset she won't be a Pretender class considering she took on the form of the Tamamo's, but I understand why she's a Foreigner.
I... am appalled. I didn't think Tunguska would get so much negative backlash. I think it was cool that all the build up about Koyanskaya was to set up plot twists, like we all thought she was a Tamamo Nine but sike, she's not. And I personally love the treatment of her character in the event, essentially we get into her home, her boundaries, we learn more about who she really is. We're here to... Well kill her but she still has principles, she is a woman of values and that's why we could collaborate with her so many times before. I gotta admit, I don't get why she didn't smoke our sh1t when she could, and Nikitich could have been handled better, like she feels irrelevant even though she isn't, but yeah
I mean I don't mind a plot twist if it worked but the lack of foreshadow and any information related prior to tunguska feel more like an asspull, when she was revealed to be a meteor and a collective dead animal I just feel like Goredolf and say Wat
Honestly... Ever since I started studying more about Philosophy, human behavior and Moral theology I see most of this anime full of "Pseudo-intelectual bul5h1t disguised as profound discussions" as annoying... And fate Series is a MASTER of pseudo-intelectual buls21t that always relies on perversion of concept, flawled logics and full blown falacies. So, that fu,mble with the tungunska event was nothing more of the same thing that fate always have.
Yeah, having raids during a family oriented holiday is just dumb, even worse was the time the raids started. Not everybody is ready to do a raid late at night.
To me, I will have my personal head canon... They don't want any character not a Saber face or Sakura face to be a strong character. A hot/s*it take I know, but to me they're AFRAID to implement Daji/Amaterasu fully. If she IS as strong as she says she is, she deserves to be given SOMETHING. She'll just be another fraud, no feats or showings...
Can we also talk about how they gave Ibuki amnesia for literally no reason at all?
Yeah I don't understand why that happen
Seriously what was even the point of that
The only reason I can think of is for weird plot reasons that wouldn't matter if they the writer doesn't want.
The fact that Ritsuka is not pissed off at her makes me pissed off a lot more.
@casteanpreswyn7528
At least Morgan had a backstory that earned her some sympathy and even then she still got what she had coming betrayed and stabbed repeatedly to death by the people she oppressed and thrown into a pit like garbage.
If anything, her backstory makes her even worse.)
Koyan has always been hinted at as being a contradiction when it comes to her hatred and actions.
I believe several of those were errors and not them repeating exposition on purpose.
Thats Sakurai writing style
Indeed it was a slog reading to taigong repetitive lines.
What the event had dialog.. *presses skip button*
Let's be honest, the real saving grace was all that sweet, sweet Bond fromthe Raids.

Her character is basically over at this point and they will probably never touch her story and character development ever again
They had so much potential and all that 5 years of buildup was pretty much wasted into "I'm just a dumb meteor and also an hater"

It’s spectacularly strange how one can go from Avalon le Fae, which in my opinion is some of Fate’s best writing since the good ol’ days of 2000-2010, have this complex and rich story with greatly developed characters, managed to make someone as despicable as Morgan sympathetic and waifu material, etc. overall a fantastic read,
and then the next major bit of story content is an incredibly rushed raid event that’s poorly written, has poorly developed new characters, and completely screws over all of the years of development that was going into Koyanskaya.
I guess they will make more nature spirits from famous explosions for no reason........Tamamo will be more of joke character I mean I like her comedic moments but sometimes its just too much
Guda guda gets more respect than her and they're meant to be joke characters
Oh man, the best moment was when Holmes figures out she's a beast and her eyes light up. That moment gave me goosebumps.
What's your problem with Aria?
What annoys me is her boss theme is a literal alternative variant of tamamo’s theme yet she’s not one of the tamamo, Jesus Christ might as well make her Tamamo Alter if she’s the faker literally
Facts fgo writing in a nutshell sucked ass. Only good lostbelts were 5,6,7
@@medievalplayz8327Yeah those arcs are peak FGO, and watch out bro, you might trigger FGO fanboys 😂.
Saber Wars 3???
isn't servantverse exist on an entirely different universe? it's not like servantverse is just outside of the milky way which koyan can reach after she got launched into space
@kurumichan2558 Introduce a wormhole to the servantverse.
No, you can't do that"
That's what i think it actually happened here, but in this case nasu was foreshadowing who was the culprit, then another person took his place and said "nah, i prefer this one instead" and all the hard work went down the drain
Thanks!
woahhh, what a way to end the year. thank you fam, we doubling down even more next year. if you need a custom just hit me.
In a nutshell, Koyanskaya is blueballs.
i think they fumbled super hard.
In the words of our resident Golden Boy. SHE A FAKER!!! I literally thought of that when they revealed that.
Honestly this could've made her a Pretender servant candidate
The concept of the tunguska event pretended to be Daji/Tamamo to reach the level of a Beast
That way her not being actually a nine tailed fox would've made some sense to an extent
Her thing is just being angry. The business and weaponry things are all personal preferences
15:40 and LB6 made us express sympathy to her
It's weird isn't it?
Now that I think about It, the ONLY Lostbelt King Koyanskaya TRIED fighting without running away was Qin Shi Huang... Imagine if she went vs Zeus and Chaos lol.

Did FGO Fumble With Koyanskaya In Tunguska?
Nasu: Yes.
Honestly, Koyanskaya was already a problem since her main debut and everything related to her writing was tied to Nasu from the beginning.

Taigong isnt a grand servant. Hes a grand servant candidate(self proclaimed). But i agree with everything else
@blaneonthemoon2507 ye.
I know that. But saying that his a candidate means that if that spot was free he would be there.
So yeah, just annoying how they fumbled it so hard
@tamamonomae2740 i get that. Honestly when he said that line i just thought "hes full of shit" and decided he was just lying to himself.
To be fair being Grand candidate don't mean smoke, without grand graph they really are just normal servants, the requierement for Grand casters is especially easy, having clarvoyance EX, meaning that even romulus 3* is a Grand caster candidate, the Grand title is a big ass boost, but the Grand candidate one is literally nothing, as soon as he said he was a candidate for Grand caster but manifested as a rider you should understand that he's no Grand and koyanskaya is no Daji, it was a weird foreshadow but it worked ok to me
I haven't played Tunguska myself (I just started Act II of LB6) but from what I heard, it almost feels like the original plot and idea were different, but they got changed down the road for some reason.
that "original plot/ideas" is just headcanons of people.
It was the classic too many hands in the kitchen ruining the food

That wouldn’t have worked anyway considering that Tunguska is a more recent disaster compared to Amaterasu.
Yeah man thanks for all the videos this year i left a little something
So you aren’t missing anything worthwhile
And taigong wang knew Noah some how?
ngl probably an arcade thing, cause noah appeared in arcade about the same time as tunguska in jp
What do you mean "new Noah"?
@@Animebryan2 I’m mean in the story he said he meet Noah like from the bible
Nasu didnt write this event. Did you even listen when mans went on a whole aside about that in the video?
I thought this event would been longer, like really longer and was surprised that it was over so quick. I was expecting some fun batner here and there, and then I was expecting a vision of Ama-chan, then conclusion. Oh well got Bond and QP I'm happy
Short answer? Yes they did
I agree the concept went in too many directions, I just don't really think she was ever built up to being a Tamamo.
Ahh yes
The fumble that i like to call "step 1 on my journey to leave the chaldeans behind"
I guess the tamamo nine are on fraud watch now lmao
Guess that Story Quality FGO had is finally starting to nose dive
I honestly expected her to be a like the real lore tammano somewhat sadistic or to show what the original Amaterasu might’ve had in her abilities or to be a starting point of a rebirth to be the closest to having the original nine tails
Damn I wrote alot my bad 😅
Honest opinion:
Koyanskaya would have a more satisfactory ending if she had an remote island on earth to control, but could not attack humanity directly, the space egg was literally an *ss pull.
I think that Tunguska would be better if it was a full chapter rather than an event.
I wish it was just a story character but I guess the Raid element stop it and make it a event instead

tbf, Koya herself said she was never a Tamamo.
I thought she would get the moriarty treatment by dividing her into 2 different servants
Why the hell do that?
If you want her for another class then wait for her to become a summer servant or something...
11:48 you would think so two she have the personality of Daji but isn’t her
Attempt 83 of me asking you to do a video on white wolf's world of darkness
Now don't get me wrong I do like his and nikitich characters and there legends clearly shows they are well accomplished, but their presence in the story is random and lacking( like who is nikitich really, where are the interludes), ibuki... same thing like her personality but... why. While I did like Vitch ending was somewhat satisfying( even though she comes back) all I can say is just like trying to say her name when it was first revealed, tunguska was just that... a mouthful
Ah yes the joys of inconsistent writing especially Eastern Style writing.
I think it was a good idea with a flawed execution.
I would like a little light hearted video to bring in the new year. So I’d like to ask, who’s your favorite servant for each class and why?
anyway, i like the parent-child relationship of her and dobrynya

I don't know if @Tsiah IV will see this but could we get a what if video similar to the Knights of the round table vs Heracles group but the combatants will be Gilgamesh facing Cu Chulainn and Achilles in a 1 vs 2 Handicap match
Day 7
TLDR, Vitch origin and the entire event is quite MEH
Tunguska seems to be a lot of "it's not but it is."
Anyways, Ibuki with amnesia was neat and all but what if we did it with the Ayy Lmao God? Surely that's a good idea.
Can someone tell me how koyan light and dark are Related. I know that she split herself after tunguska i Think but isnt this kinda wasted
Out of curiosity, is that thumbnail fanart, or a mix of your own thumbnail and some art together?
Im curious do the writers and devs see feed back like this.
They see it as much as a western writer sees Japanese fans feedback on Japanese websites (or the sections of global websites algorithmically sectioned off by geolocation and language used)
In short not at all
Honestly, as a JP player.
I would say that LB6 is an anomaly that it came out as it is (and it has been confirmed that it received a rewrite that, according to Nasu himself, was Oberon's fault)
In fact, none of the LBs before LB6 seems to have been liked by everyone: there is always something to criticize in each LB (even LB6, the one considered the best of the group)
Koyanskaya didn’t feed the damn elephant.
i personally enjoyed Koyanskaya throughout the entire event, the Lostbelts she was kinda… unlikable, but Tunguska rlly made me appreciate her character. maybe it’s just me.
@@tonyinfinite5174true but like I said, these are just a few they've been doing them for a while and it won't be the last either Draco for one.
Compared to those examples, koyanskaya was constantly anticipated to provide more context for the tamamoes for years just to ultimately amount to nothing
@@flashtheshapeshafterNah Draco delivered unfortunately we still can't get her on rate up
New vid lit 🔥
It was absolutely a fumble.
How is she not a Tamamo?
Luckily her abilities aren't as confusing as her lore (Konyanskaya of Light)
She is a manifestation of the Tunguska event given form, and she decided to replicate the concept of a 9 tailed fox (I say 9 tailed fox and not tamamo because she tried to replicate basically the Chinese version of the 9 tailed fox not the Japanese version which is tamamo(it’s kind of goes back and fourth of wheather or not they are the same thing and tamamo just doesn’t want to acknowledge it))
Yeah. Made her a meteor that committed identity theft...for some reason. Like I don't even know why she made herself look like Tamamo.
@@sootythunder3111 Not sure what Nasu has been smoking but wouldn't it be easier to understand if Koyan is one of Tamamo's tails? but then got taken control by Amaterasu
@@quihuynh1647I wish that was the lore and add to that it was Vitch she gotten control of
@@desmondmalone438 Yeah, I mean before this video I actually thought that Konyanskaya was a Tamamo and Koyan of Dark was actually Amaterasu taken control
writer didn't cook well lmao.
My guess is she will come back later on but holy hell does it feel like such a waste of a character if that doesn’t happen.
Fumbled hard. Like most of the dialogue was cringe and they used way too many hums and ahhs for no reason. Like wtf
The worse of all was taigong. His dialogue was just repetitive. A not even mad about the deal with kyonkaya since its plain as day they wouldn't kill her off the moment taigong flashbacks started.
This event was hot garbage both from a writing perspective and a gameplay perspective, and I pray they never do another one like this again 🤦🏻♂️
Koyan went out like Douman very lack luster only difference she get a free pass on getting merked cause she a waifu lol
I liked it.
I’m not going to get into my grievances with Koyanskaya and her subsequently shit ass event. We’d be here all day.
It’s sad that these days, I mostly skip the events that don’t interest me. And the events I do participate in, I skip the story cutscenes.
100%
Eh I think its a limit of the format just like Douman's event which was bad.
Her indifference/half love half hate kept her from becoming one.
taigong lied when he said that she was indifferent to humanity.
She was able to become one because she understood humans' place in nature. But at the same time wanted them to suffer since she was trying to become the hunter instead of the hunted, using the survival of the fittest comparison. You don't have to have much love for humanity to become a beast, just a warped sense of love towards them.
According to Taigong, she does love humans, since she loves all animals, and humans are animals to her
You forget taigong clearly lied about this stuff of her being indifferent
I'd imagine Koyan would be Pretender if she ever gets a summer version
I... am appalled.
I liked her story but the raids were ruined
Yeah, having raids during a family oriented holiday is just dumb, even worse was the time the raids started. Not everybody is ready to do a raid late at night.
@@Animebryan2 I missed all of them except Koyanskaya.
Bruh the fumbled the raid but the story i kinda tried to make sense tbh
