Glad you got a chance to see Taroko by bus at least. Yeah, rock falls are no joke there. Gotta be careful. I walked that same Shakadong trail! So beautiful. You got some amazing drone shots of it. 👍🏼

Well, now I am convinced I need to go to Taiwan. I went to Xiamen 15 months ago, First time to China. This summer, I went back to Xiamen, took the bullet train to Shanghai. I didn't realize the train went though Ningbo. I recognized Ningbo from the train because of your videos which was a cool surprise. Also went to Kunming and Dali.

Great footage Matt, even if it was a brief touristy tour. Your drone shots broke out of the mold and provided some beautiful views. Thanks! Stay safe out there.

If you want to go deeper in to Taroko I think it's restricted to a limited number of tourists per year - you have to book a tour with an indigenous guide - at least that's what I remember when I went in 2010. And don't get the beef noodles there - get the rice cooked in bamboo that you crack open yourself. And some steamed local vegetables. Also near the beach area is a bonito smoked fish shavings shop/museum (I think it might have burnt down a couple years ago, hopefully they rebuilt it) - the shavings are used to make dashi, or stock etc. Really delicious.

Hey Matt ! Great video ! I love the tone of your videos ! What was the name of the tour you booked to visit the Taroko Gorge ? I just cycled from Checheng to Kenting today, it was so beautiful, actually the most beautiful place I've ever seen so far in my 2 month travel in Southeast Asia ! The colours and the light are mesmerizing ! Thanks again for your tips in the videos about Kenting ! :-)

There's a natural onsen along the river which I was able to utilize, wearing my birthday suit. I have a photograph to prove it, but I'll have to send it to you directly, as the sensors would probably disallow it, lol.

Watching the video, I noticed your bike pedal knee savers. I learned about them from one of your past videos. I installed them on my bike and they are great. Your videos are a joy to view and a wealth of information.

You were right about fantastic drone shots you had in the can . Putting aside the double-decker bus the scenery looked out of this world , literally . Thought you were on another planet a few times and riding it again via the tricycle cliff side and through the tunnel of love will be views to remember .. Jayoe

I was thinking "wow with the drone its cool how he can get video of some of those cool places without being able to get to them!" then boom Matt you said almost the same thing. It makes me want to get a drone purely for the looking down towards the ground shots you get are super interesting to me.

Thru your series of taiwan tour vlogs, in my opinion the best part of taiwan is the people.
i've been to china, the people is different, kinda "rough"
I think i'll love taiwan more although i never been there, sorry

The reason that bus driver asked your religion before lunch was likely becasue he want to know if you require any special diet, such as Muslim no pork, Hindu no beef, Buddist no meat.

you were landing on the earth from the stars. i found you looked like the terminator as walk along the cliff way with operating the drone. also everything is new to the view point of mine.lastly let me remind you of the semiconductor chip that the water reserved in Taiwan has been taken used for making the semiconductor chip that not many countries can make of it due to the lack of clean water.

Search " KOM + Toroko" , I think it's biking contest all the way from 0 to 3250 meter height.
I don't know if trikes allowed.

There are Truku people's symbols at 2:55 tunnel entrance. The diamond shape represents the eye of Truku ancestor. Truku women weave the patterns on their skirt to keep the evil off. www.taroko.gov.tw/content/images/static/history/Traditional-Life-img04.jpg

You really got some cojones to fly drone in the Taroko gorge. Don't know how you did that with usually weak GPS signals that might switch drone into atti mode and drifting and even out of control.

you need to get multi tiers on your patreon , some people can't afford 283 , may be less amounts to secure a personal message from you or phone call from you while you are riding ect , KEEP SMILING

    • @JaYoeNation
      @JaYoeNation  6 років тому +1

283, not sure what you mean? there is a $1 a month tier... i think that's reasonable... yea maybe i need to put more levels.
