"Ascending the Alliteration Alps" - I was taught alliteration is with consonants and the more "assonance" is with vowels. (just sayin)
I was taught that alliteration is the repetition of any sound at the start of multiple words in a phrase, while assonance is the repetition of a consonant sound within multiple words.
