I agree 100% Bro. When Yagami walks his jacket moves also. I just notice this yesterday! And I had this game for a couple of Months lol. It's the small life like details that we don't notice... that's just crazy! Real.
I finish the game like a couple of weeks ago and there’s still so much to do side mission school stories and I’m not even tired of it It’s amazing and so much content well worth the price not to mention dlc is coming out it’s definitely worth it and way better than original judgment
The first one is better and I've completed both games. I mean, gameplay and graphics wise the second one is better but that is expected when you compare a 2018 game vs a 2021 game. The storyline however is better in the first one. It's nice that the 2nd game focused on high school bullying which makes for an interesting plot but it doesn't live up to the thrill of chasing after a stylish serial killer "the mole" who was so awesome. This villain is so much more memorable than the villains in the 2nd game. Even in the emotional department, there was one scene where Yagami had a heart-to-heart with his convicted client and it was such a touching scene that moved me. I didn't experience the same emotional impact in the 2nd game. Overall, I really liked this series and I hope that RGG will deliver again if they make a third title.
For me Kuwana is more memorable than Kuroiwa, the fight had such emotion behind it, too men with their own sense of justice, both are right in the way and will fight to prove they're right, even though they know the other has a point too. Kuwana let a kid try to su*cide by his negligence and saw all the bullies get away, he lost his faith in justice and in everything and decided to become something more (Batman?) to bring justice to those who will never get it. Kuroiwa was a great boss, epic, menacing, but one-sided. In the end he's just a psychopath vilain, a good one obviously but not much motivation behind his actions. We had Soma in LJ who's a bit like that, even though he's a cheaper version lol It's funny because i read your comments after i finished Judgement, and i was like ''Oh well, atleast the gameplay is way better and i've got to see more of Yagami and the boys''. But now that i've 100% Lost Judgement, i can say i liked the story equally or a bit more, the high school bully plot is a serious issue and i was completely on it during the game
currently at the start of Chapter 6 in Lost Judgment and i am loving every single moment of it from the game mechanics, minigames (i do get frustrated from time to time in the robotics minigame) and everything in between!
I hit a point in the robotics club that gave me trouble but I pretty much cruised to the finish once I made the 2 AI robots the fighter/attacker type and equipped them with hammers. I kept the main bot as the speed type and basically I just zipped around collecting/capturing while my 2 beefy sidekicks spawn camped the enemies lol (just make sure you craft the upgraded fighter bots that have the AI built-in).
@@JRPGGaming thank you for the info! i swear that i did shout out some bad words when i lose on a match in robotics minigame! currently on the way now for round 3 of the robo rally, since the task indicator is grey-ed out at the moment!
I have a lot of catching up to do on the Yakuza series, but LJ just looks like pure fun. It is wild how much content is packed in here. Also, that new intro is slick af
@@NINisTR1 The original idea was to remake the games and they even had a video demo of some cinematics but Yu Suzuki decided to just merely remaster the first games then focus on part 3, which part 3 ended up being another flop. So yes, the Yakuza team at Sega should definitely go back and remake the games. just combine all 3 and make it a vast open world.
My girlfriend got this game for me today. I’m a huge Yakuza fan But the first one somehow slipped under my radar. Really enjoying the first couple hours so far really refreshing change of pace from the Yakuza gangster drama story telling
I only got the chapter 8 of Judgement and plan on finishing it is just a took a while for the story to warm up. On the other hand I just started last judgement and on chapter 2 And I find the story more interesting because of the age group of the victims. And I also find The side cases that get set up during the main story feel less like distractions than judgement
Beat Yakuza like a Dragon about six months ago. Completed just about everything except racing (cause I seriously suck at it) and the final tower. Overall I loved the much needed change in the Yakuza series. Never played the first Judgement game; however, but thanks to your review and other comments I'm now looking forward to giving it a try
I think LAK and Judgment side by side represent the best Era of the studio. The two are the same game at heart (and really good), but offer a lot of differences in genre, characters, and gameplay. I've seen people talk about only getting into 7 because they love turn based RPGs and people on the other hand loving lost Judgment for its phenomenal action combat.
As long as you got your enjoyment out of it my friend, that is all that matters. I don't know if I'll ever have time to jump into a yakuza or lost judgement game, but if the formula still works, and they can find ways to keep improving the gameplay and the legacy these games keep leaving behind that is all that matters in my eyes.
A lot of people are not aware of why Japans suicide rate is so high and why bullying is such an issue and it's because in Japan there are no laws against minors committing crimes so these bullies can basically do what they want in terms of crime and never actually see any repercussions. Not a great system but the point of Lost Judgement was to mock that idea by allowing adults to beat the crap out of bullies to teach them a lesson. The problem when you have westerners reviewing this game is that western sensibilities have reached a point where even daring to discipline children is seen as child abuse which is also the reason the suicide rate is so high in the US now as the parents really can do nothing about their kids for fear of being called child abusers.
I never knew that I just recently bought both games I like the second one because of all the different combat styles and how more fluent it is but I thought it was weird that you were fighting kids but now knowing that Japan has different rules and kids get away with stuff makes it more fun to beat up the kids you're right I'm on chapter 3 in the first judgment that story to seems like you said a little darker with the taking people's eyes I'm switching back between both games just for the story pretty much but I like the flow of the second game
Bullying a bully is wrong. Especially if you are an adult trying to teach a kid to not be a bully by bullying him. You know, There’s something in the middle between black and white, between passiveness and aggressiveness. It’s called assertiveness. Parents should be like this. Both passive and aggressive parenting styles are wrong. But trying to bully a kid iot to teach him how to live is wrong for sure. Teach by being an example, not by forcing your argument into someone’s mind.
i’ve just finished downloading this game for ps4. they really improved the graphic and combat. so far im lovin it XD and more importantly , the performance is better on ps4 vs the original game
This game is another awesome spinoff of yakuza . But story is a bit more confusing now , everything else I liked in this game and the combat is very much improved
As mentioned in the video, the main story is the only thing that's a little better in the first Judgment, literally everything else is better in Lost Judgment (some things A LOT better).
I barely started lost judgement, but so far feels like a downgrade lol. Has more features but feels like original judgment is way more polished and lost has weird anti aliasing/washed out graphics. Also doesn't start off nearly as strong as judgement. I honestly would been a bit happier if they used the original graphical engine and a different story, maybe a couple tweaks instead of overhaul.
It is do disappointing that they are not making the third game due to some rights claim. Both Judgment games were absolutely amazing and extremely fun and entertaining
Playing it now, but no way near as good as the first one for me. There is hardly any gameplay left. In the first one you did stakeouts with drones, follow missions etc etc. There is none of that in the second part. Now it's only fighting and talking. The school missions i skip, just more talking and running around ..
Yeah, great game. But it's not all sunshine and roses, though, is it? The story was better in the first game, I feel. Not to say it's bad in this one, but 90% of your time will be spent listening to a cast of idiots explaining THE SAME THINGS to each other, over and over and over and over and over again. I mean, WE GET IT!!!!! I'm also not happy that some of the stuff needed for the platinum trophy is locked behind The Gauntlet. The climax battles were always my most hated part of the Yakuza games, and although this isn't quite as bad, I'd prefer it if it didn't exist. The ending is also disappointing with two easy bosses that don't compare with the rogue's gallery of villains we've gone up against in other installments. Apart from that, however, this game is a good time. Even drone racing was OK this time.

The stakes in this one feel pretty meh. But it’s a Better “game” if you know What that means
The gameplay has been better, but the story is not nearly as engaging to me this time. I think theres too many players in this crime drama.
What's that intro song? Pure fire.
