This entire guide is amazing. I learned so much about playing UO regardless of playing a sampire, but of course the guidance on sampire is awesome too! I’ve seen nothing else close to this series for a returning player.

wow thanks a lot for the feedback.. yah UO is one of those games that can sometimes be so complex to "play" that it hinders folks enjoyment. Some of that is the fun though so its a give and take.. most of the vids I see show a quicky build highlight and let folks try to fill in the blanks, which works okay too.. but I was hoping for something different. As a returning player I just wanted to let you know I really appreciate this series. You provide those small details that most others don't even think of, but they make a huge difference! Do you have any tips on dealing with PKs? I went to Vermin Horde just to check it out and see what was up, got PKed pretty much immediately after initiating the spawn.
Thanks for the feedback and glad you find them useful! Regarding PKs.. well thats a difficult one.. I do plan on making a video to show what I do.. but then, I get "caught" a lot too.. the challenge is as a sampire, the build isn't really cut out for long or complicated battles. You are a formidable warrior though, so there are a few things you can do to at least maybe "get out alive". Your main enemy is your healing ability isn't good for other players.. so carrying a few potions helps. If you're running EC, you can swap out entire gearsets in the press of a button.. so having weapons and armor that are geared towards PvP help (maxing your DCI , HLD, HLA etc). Certain weapons go well in a sampires hands, such as a Bokuto.. it has nerve strike.. combine that with Hit Lightning and a few others and you can do some damage. Disarming melee opponents is a good tactic. Also remember, you are a GM necromancer.. and even though you wont have Spirit Speak and most of the spells wont be too nasty, there are a few such as Revenant Spirit that might be useful. There is no one "solution" to dealing with PKs.. I often try to be where they arent.. but as you noticed, its easier to say than do sometimes.
@@rabidsniper6925 Thanks for the quick and thorough reply. I figure the PK's will get me and I just hope I have all important things insured. If there was even a minimal chance of escape I wouldn't mind giving it a go, so i'll mess around with some of the suggestions you made. I wasn't prepared at all. I was really hoping for a less popular shard at a less popular time to keep me safe enough to just check it out but...oh well, its all part of the game.
P.S. Did you forget about the champ spawn down where the Cu's spawn or did I miss it? Ik it's pretty much a worthless spawn unless you need arrows, but it's still a champ spawn. Thanks again for taking the time to make the vids. Haven't watched them all yet, but I will. 👍
Question. You mention setting mouse wheel for target last and target next. There is no such setting available on Classic Client, though I seem to remember being able to do this in the old days. What would you recommend to draw the mobs without all the clicking and grabbing tags? I heard someone says opening and closing paperdoll while running grabs them. Going to test that idea out.
Heya.. Okay well.. Id be the first to say that Classic Client is not my fav for this playstyle.. But Im not one of those types to try and convince you otherwise.. Ive played CC many many moons.. and still use it today for scripting etc... For the Sampire and the playstyle I show in these videos, it relies a lot on "Always Attack" option and the "Target Nearest/Next" options in the Input tab of EC settings. for Classic Client you can achieve mostly the same result with the macros... First make a new macro and set the key to "Tab" (like in my videos) and for the actions make the first one "Select Nearest --> Hostile" and the second action is "Attack Selected". When you hit Tab key now, itll target the nearest hostile and "attack" them.. thereby grabbing agro. You can emulate the scroll wheel I show in my vids, by making a new Macro.. (Lets just give it the ` key for consistancy) and Action 1: "Select Next --> Hostile" and Action 2: "Attack Selected". Then you just ruyn into a spawn mob and spam that key..... Have fun... oh... and one last thing.. switch to EC ;)
@@rabidsniper6925 Thank you for taking the time to respond. I set up the macro and it works. I really enjoy watching your videos. I am doing as you suggested and building the Sacrifice virtue to be able to resurrect self when needed. I have tried to solo Piper before, but only went half way. I should be ready to try it to finish very soon. As for switching to EC. I just have not gotten there yet. I have played off and on for years, but mainly crafting and taming. I suppose I am just used to using CC. This whole Sampire thing is new to me, but your videos are making it easy and enjoyable.

If you mean doing Scalis solo.. yah.. the general "sampire" isnt really good for that.. the vamp healing is nerfed out.. It CAN be done with a specific build though.. using Healing, Anat, Swords, Tactics, Bushido, Parrying and Chivalry.. Youll need to run the bushido mastery to get the extra parry healing.. of course run enhanced bandages.. Enemy of One,, and Honor/perfection.. Use a bladed staff with HLD and Hit Lightning.. and just chain AIs on him.. you should be able to do lots of consecutive hits for 150 or more..

I see that Random Generated Loot is affected by Luck and creatures "Difficulty Ratings", I tried to look for a source that lists this difficulty rating for creatures (and doubt it would be the same as barding difficulty) and could not find one. Do you happen to know of such a web resource?
Something odd that is now happening that I'm just wondering if you or anyone else know what it is. So, I'm playing in the EC, Swords 112.6, Tact 112.5, Anatomy 106.6, Parry 120.0, Bushido 103.7, Necro 100.0, Chiv 70.0 and Resist 44.6 and I have Swords Mastery Level 3 active, using a Soul Seeker and have no area or "fire" type damage... But it just started happening whenever I hit anything (including all monsters hit with whirlwind), I see like a firey explosion at thier feet. I would like to know what this is just to know. TY

I've heard that the Kaldun dungeon gives all 120's... I have no idea if that true or not tho..
In my experience, this is not true.. the only guaranteed 120s I know are from the crafting system and fishing.

When i do these champ spawns and get pink scrolls they end up sometimes dissapearing. Are the spawn monsters taking them off of my body when i die?
Can anyone explain for Bushido is calculated real vs modified? i'm 103.5 bushido 120 with ring.

And I think it's one of the Leeches, I just never noticed it till recently.
Its a leech effect..youre seeing..
more builds :). ive thought about coming back to pac. ive played since beginning on pac so its home to me
@Rabid Sniper how do i get the same UI that you are using?
If you use consecrate weapon you shouldn't need elemental damage on your weapon.
And to raise Bushido mix in Momentum Strike I spammed that at the turtle spawn Bushido went through the roof.
