I have an older model Toguard. It works fine, but I have to manually turn it on instead of it turning in automatically when I turn my vehicle on. Do you know a way to fix this? I cannot see any menu function for this issue.

Maybe try format the sd card (it will delete everything on the sd card so save the footage first if you need it) and check again. Do you only have one folder to open on the sd card for more then one?

Are you using a powerport? I had that problem and I solved it by insert and slight twist. That solved my situation.
I have exactly the same type of dash cam everything is good except whenever I turn off the engine the date and time resets to default.
Any idea how to fix this issue?

How do you preserve footage of an accident so loop mode does not delete it? Or do we just have to turn off camera after an incident and hope nothing again happens on our way back home?
The information is at 3:19 mins into the video on page 9 (look at the recording and lock the file so it’s saved)

Hi in the manual it says that you have to format it on a laptop or PC did you have to do that 🤔
I didn’t have to do that, I think the dash cam gave me the option to format first on there before it saved the footage

What was the biggest memory card you tested? Manual says 128gb but I would like to put a bigger one
I used a 128gb as the largest also. A lot of footage is saved on 128gb card anyway, and if you had a crash you would most probably only use the last bit of footage saved

No the parking mode needs a cable from dash cam to car battery (hardwire kit)

You can turn the camera to look toward the door if that’s what you mean but when facing forward the door of the car will not be in the footage

How do you edit videos on pc with this device
Most video playing programs let you trim or edit a video of you get the footage onto a pc or laptop. Eg. iMovie, VLC media player. Photo. Davinci resolve (free version) You can cut the video down with any of them.

Strange, make sure you use the original power lead. Send it back if your still having issues

Yes you can set the screen to go black
Battery runs out fast and I have to constantly keep resetting the time and date and everything else
Keep the dash cam powered at all times and don’t rely on the battery

If it recording press the ok button to stop then press menu and then press menu again then press the right arrow to move down to the Language option then click ok and use the arrows again to move to language you need

Both cameras should be in colour unless in the dark and using infrared
@Pwinkle can I change from infrared to normal?
@@the1bud I’m wondering if the camera is slight covered. Try take the camera off the bracket and hold it up in the open during the day and place on record for abit and then check that bit of footage and see if colours back. (The infrared should automatically come on when the camera thinks it is dark)

This is useless. There are no helpful instructions on how to set up all the functions. And no video anywhere has taught me more than how to hide the cord. If I knew this is how it would be, I would have bought another unit.

Do not buy very hard to get ya play back video
You can play back on the dash cam or the easiest way to watch the footage in to connect the dash cam to a pc and check it out that way
