The videos that start with “this video is stupid” are always the best 😂
cannot argue with that
Haha!! Those are also the ones I enjoy the most making.
When are we getting a RGInHD vs Dawid collab
@@WayStedYou Not sure, but willing to bet these two chat quite frequently, so I wouldn't rule it out lol.
You two are becoming my favorite tech youtubers to watch.
Part 2: Putting out a house fire with a water cooler?
Great idea!
@Sony Pony probably
@Sony Pony even a passively cooled Atom cpu is better than my laptops cooling
My recommended gets weirder and weirder every day and I love it
Should have stuck a 'Void if Removed' sticker on the wiring splice, to make it legal.
Next project ,use a hairblower -but anyway i would downclock to lowest possible and leave it running there for a week and then check its condition
Did Dawid really just use the exact CPU + MOBO combination I run on a daily basis
So that's how you are gonna cool a super low profile PC
Next video gt 1030 heatsink vs intel stock cooler place your bets
Why bother with the sick angles if you're just gonna blur
I thought this video was a motherboard with a built in gpu. That kind of thing
When the 1030 cooler is better than an intel stock cooler
It is certainly an error.
No, no, you misunderstand the superiority of that device. The stock Intel cooler is designed to run at 90-100°C, where it's most comfortable, which is why it never really bothers cooling things down.
I sense a death match arena of death coming. 😁
@@DawidDoesTechStuffmaybe try the gt 710 cooler

yeah if you did that one you deserved it cause the cpu should never get that hot to begin with unless your cpu is like from the stone age
Looks like I might be getting famous! 🤣 The video Dawid mentioned is my GPU Cooler on a CPU. Hope you guys enjoy it - and don't forget to check out other TL videos to see if you like the channel.
Thanks for the shoutout / credit Dawid. Appreciate it man.
Great video... As always.
I've been thinking about doing a similar thing, but instead of actually using it as the main cooler I would use it as a secondary cooler on the CPU backplate. I came upon this idea a few weeks ago when I found out that the back plate and other components on the back of my motherboard we're getting extremely hot on my lga 2011 setup. I did a quick search on Google and found that other people had similar ideas and they actually had some noticeable success in lowering CPU thermals by doing so.
So now I've got this crazy idea to rig some kind of vapor chamber heatsink cooling mechanism with a blower fan on the back side of my motherboard. Then that idea spawned numerous other cooling ideas and now I've got this absolutely insane idea for a cooling rig that spreads all throughout my case! I plan to make it this epic project someday that I'll do videos on throughout the process! 😂
“Sacrificial components” *cries in Gigabyte B450M DS3H*
* glances at my ASRock B450m HDV R4.0 *
@J Fz Only joking, it’s cheap and it works, no problems here, though I’m currently saving for a better one
I literally just got and built on a 450m Steel Legend...that particular comment stung.
@@alphaasianjosh I know. All Jokes here. xD
I'm currently waiting for the news regarding Ryzen 5000 series and Radeon 6000 series compatability on B450. That is... the SAM-feature of the Radeon 6000 and how it'll work out.
If B450 is viable, I'm going for an Asus TUF B450m Pro.
Either Pro-1, Pro-2 or Pro-S
On Paper Pro-S is the best of the bunch.
But I prefer the looks of Pro-1 & -2.
Pro-2 isvery similar to Pro-S on paper, apart from the LAN and SPDIF audio-port.
@@janwitkowsky8787 im pretty sure they said ryzen 5000 can only be used wth b550 and up :(. i also have a b450 and was kinda sad to hear that. maybe theyll give a bios update to support it, hoping.

David: we are sitting at between 95-96 °C
Me: Aah just as apple likes its. PERFECTION 🔥
i like my laptop well done
Dawid just used a gt tenthirdy so he can say the name.
Haha
I can never tell if he's talking about the GT 1050 or 1030. They both sound the same!
Go dingos
www.tenthiddy.com/
That is exactly why.
Try the Ryzen 5 4600G but with a single fan from the Gigabyte GTX 1050 (or something similar)
"Jarvis enhance image"
You're doing your soldering wrong
Just to keep things reverseable, use cables between the motherboard fan connector and the fan connector or to make sure that the soldering got done right, experiment with an otherwise broken deltaco table fan for the sacrifice as that is how I test things like these. Doing this on a motherboard is a tad costly to do in my opinion.

I'm getting really uppity about Dawids soldering work and I haven't even seen it.
5:15
Get a multimeter, set it to continuity, find a common ground on the GT1030, then you can find which one is the ground pin in the card's fan plug.
And which wire is for power by testing the pcie connector and the fan then the other wire is for speed control
Next video be like: replacing my heart with a gt 1030

The fact that you can run a 5600X with this (65W on both parts) is brilliant, and tbh more mobo manufacturers should do integrated cooling with like 120mm fans for itx and such horizontally on the mobo with a little hatch to put the cpu in
Try to put a CPU cooler on a graphics card.
Already been done many times
Well, the title said a GPU cooler, and he said a GPU cooler.
Then he went with a GT1030 cooler. 😂
Dawid: its at 95°c peak

Shoutout to Monabuntur#7054 for giving dawid the suggestion! Also shoutout to cbob74#1459 to posting the link dawid mentioned.
Me watching this with a gt 1030: “don’t look my brother”
wow that could actually be a viable solution for an extremely small pc as long as you were running a very low TDP CPU (45-55 watt maybe)
I friggin luv watching you do jank cubed, 😆! If only I had the free time to be your competitor I'd want a 3 way competition between you, I and Timmy Joe.
Currently I'm trying to build the ultimate budget ryzen build from all used parts.
Right now I'm on target to build a budget ryzen for under $100 out of pocket.
I'd ask u 2 wish me luck but u prolly won't even see this post. 😆
Oh good luck with that! That's a tiny budget.
I am glad you enjoy the jank. I also have a great time with those. 😁
Cool! Next up: put a huge GPU cooler on the GT 1030 XD
I can't say I'm terribly surprised given that some laptops have potentially worse thermal solutions, but that actually did better than I expected. +1 thumbs up!
Some gpu's have soldering holes for external 6pin or 8pin connectors.
What would happen if you solder 6pin or 8pin power connector, would be better to do it or not? Would it increase stability for overclocking? And how much wattage will be available for the gpu to run with.
Why didn't he just mount it diagonally to the motherboard and CPU, like with the corners of the CPU between each set of mounting stand-offs?
Not everything has to be square, unless you're suffering from OCD.
Perfect! I already have a B450M DS3H-just need to fine a used Tenthiddy here.
Now I can safely retire my Wraith Spire!
I have a two pin fan, how do I connect it to a 3 pin SYS_FAN header?
noise and fan speeds dont matter, just wondering if its okay.
I cannot fit it currently as the plastic lips dont fit but I can grind it off
Okay, and now that you have a GT 1030 with the cooler removed, it's time to try to put a liquid cooler on a GT 1030 and see how high it can be over clocked.
Hey dude, nice video! What guitars do you have in the background? They look like fender strats judging by the headstock. Cheers!
Takes me back to when I put an 95w athlon ii x2 cooler on a fx6300...
Crispy temperatures, I must say.
That title confuses me lol
Just saying the discord invite link in the description is invalid.
Hey! He has fixed the link - it should work now :)
@@AnnaDoes Thanks for telling me. It works now.
Nah, it isn't _that_ stupid.
You know what is though?
Cooling a cpu with a GT 1030 heatsink bought from Wish.
Love it. But did anyone else think he should just pivot the cooler like 30 to 45 degrees so the mounting holes don't hit the IHS?
Hey our school has an esports team and we are in desperate need of a sponsor because the school does pay for anything. We are in need of decent computers for our starters and some alternates. I hope you can help us out or point us in the right direction!
2:48 easy solution remove the Socketmount and zip-tie the CPU down
Wow it worked... i'm surprised.
I thinknif you use a dedicated graphics card the temps should be even better... and you not even touched in the voltages... really surprising results.
Hey gary here to point out that you did the soldering wrong.
Actually you need to use a $69 soldering gun to solder 3 wires.
Just an FYI most modern computers (and the components) have safe guards in place so the don't catch fire

Slab of aluminium is better than nothing. With fin part over the core and better fan it wouldn't even throttle.

Please try using a CPU heatsink on a GPU but the Intel Stock cooler.., of course
how you say thirty is really fun to hear.
Are you gonna use a gt1030 as your tree topper for your Christmas tree🎄 ???
New intro is pretty noice but the old one with the finger about to touch the cpu was pretty good
You wanna know why his videos get so so many views despite being "low effort". It's because he is actually relatable. News flash not everyone has an angle grinder and 3d printer in their homes. He with an amazing sense of humour keeps entertaining us. Keep up this work man truly amazing content.
You can get angle grinder super cheap tho

Gee, if only there were a color schema for wires that indicates this information that case window nerds didn't namecall "ketchup and mustard" and throw out the window because "muh aesthetics"
Hey Dawid! I love your crazy mods you do they're top notch XD
Gigabyte Cooler,
Gigabyte Mainboard.
They were made for eachother.
who the fuck hasn't done this, yes it works to test a CPU, but why bother.
I know I will never need to do this or plan on doing it but god damn it will be fun watching someone else doing it
Thank you UA-cam suggestion, loving the content subbed 👍
And still somehow better than the cooling in Dell prebuilts

that poor 1030. I feel about the 1030 the same way Charlie Brown felt about his Christmas tree. "It's not such a bad little GPU." (later) "Hey, what's going on here?!"
