Can you speak to the experience of balancing a humanities curriculum with pre-med classes and possibly to the experience of anyone you know who graduated from Columbia on the pre-med track and what they are doing now?

I don’t think there is a marketing major for undergrads, but there are programs in the business school. For undergrads, there is the special concentration in business which might be worth looking into! academics.gsb.columbia.edu/mendelson-center/requirements
Is there a way to exempt from any core classes? I read a ton of books by great philosophers and ancient literature. For example, I read the Odyssey in the eighth grade. I'm not completely against taking the class but it could be used other where.
Hi! 😊 I haven’t heard of exemptions from the Core, but it sounds like you’ll have a nice head start for Lit Hum and CC! :) I’m sure you’ll still enjoy the courses since they’re such a defining part of the Columbia undergrad experience (and it kind of feels like you’re in a quintessential college movie scene in those classes hehe). Also, a lot of my classmates who had read these texts before still were really engaged since the discussion points and approaches to learning were different from what they’d encountered in the past (and they brought a lot of insight from their previous experience too!). Hope this helps! 😙💖
