I think many of us have the same feelings and guilt that you are expressing. I feel like a revolving door many times. Reborns and silicones are changing constantly and to experience these new changes you have to sacrifice selling to buy. Unfortunately it seems harder in these times to rehome these babies-even at resaonable prices. Thanks for being upfront on how you feel-it helps make others feel "we aren't alone" in this everchanging hobby.
Love love your Eliette, and I was that revolving door collector, now I am mostly happy with a stable collection of much loved dolls, while enjoying immensely watching other collectors go through that part of the journey, and sharing it with us 💕💕💕
Yup, I agree that it's perfectly fine to send clean, gently used clothing with the doll. It' what I have always done and I'm also buying the doll for the doll, not the clothes they come home with. I am always very clear when I sell a doll, what the new mommy can expect with said doll so there's no confusion. I'm also fine with artists sending brand new dolls the same way. Even the most high end dolls that came home with tons of brand new outfits rarely ever get used. I generally store them all away in their box because my outfit choices are so picky, and I honestly do not care at all about the clothing.......it's all about the doll for me! Lol! I love that you call yourself a reborn sampler, it's genius! I think that it's the very best way to experience all that the hobby has to offer and think there's absolutely nothing wrong with it! I used to be the same way and had a regular revolving door of dolls coming and going for several years early on in my collecting. It's really the only way I could have figured out what I absolutely love in a doll and it also got me to Monroe, so don't stop doing what you're doing! Enjoy that you're able to experience so much artwork in this hobby, that really is the fun if it!! I thoroughly love watching you as your journey has evolved! I get the guilt you are talking about. I have also felt that when I was buying and selling a lot, but now I don't tend to worry about it a whole lot. Trust me, people will get over it! Lol! It really is the circle of life with doll collecting! ;-) Great chat as always! xxxooo's
It is always great joy to see this beautiful and special baby girl. She is very lovely in her adorable outfit. I like the colour to. Great chat... Sending best wishes to you... Sonja
If I sell a doll I send clothes from my collection my opinion is the clothes are an added extra as well as that they have only been used for my dolls I take as much care with my baby clothes as my dolls so I’m totally with you on that xxx
Gorgeous!!! I love the print of your Charlie crane, mine is the plain color wish I would of gotten a print!! I need to dress my baby like that.. he is a boy so belly plate diaper and bib!! So cute for summer
I have always liked dolls as I grew up. After several years of working I learned that I needed a complete hysta- rectomy! It was and was not a relief. It was because I feared the diagnosis at the time and it wasn't because the tests finally came back.negative! When the reborn dolls appeared, I felt that God was giving my love of children a second chance but in a different way than play things. I was finally able to express my love of children in a different way! I am now interested in these dolls you see on tv! I feel like a grown up parent in that a doll like that is at this point a dream. I have no need to play with the doll but to just think back to my childhood and enjoy the dream!
I just love your baby! She’s so beautiful! 😍 I think it’s perfectly okay for a seller to send nice used clothing with a nice used doll. It’s no different than a BJD or other used doll coming with used clothing. I know we all expect a new doll of any kind to come with new clothing, but that’s a different story. Great video! 💜🤗💜
Great topic! I always wonder as a new artist, if all the clothes should be brand new. I would feel guilty if I didn’t send new clothes. But as a collector, I think clothing from my personal collection is fine. ❤❤
Your Laura is the best Laura I’ve seen. Good topic. I buy and sell a lot and if I sell out of my collection I’ll send clothes from my collection as well as the stuff the doll originally came with. I don’t use the stuff the baby come home with for that reason. I’ve been collecting for a while now and I get overwhelmed when I have to many dolls in my collection. But then I’ll sell, vowing to never get to that size again. Then all of a sudden I’m back to buying more. It’s a vicious cycle. Lol
Personally, I think if you buy a new doll, then new clothing (with the exception of unique outfits or whatever) is what I expect, but if I am buying a used doll, then used clothing is fine. I send clothing with my dolls I sell all the time and it's fine. As long as it isn't stained, got animal hair, smell, look worn, etc...like as long as it looks and smells nice, I'd say it is a bonus. I've only seen a few people who were upset over clothes being sent with their used dolls...just because they didn't like the clothes or it wasn't their type. I think as you said you buy the doll for the doll, and if you don't like the clothes, then just get rid of them then. Then with the second topic, you can collect how you wish, whether you buy and sell or if you keep forever. It is your money and your doll. If people get upset for you getting rid of a certain doll, then they can buy it if they like it that much. There are several dolls I love on UA-cam that I would love the chance to buy, but for most of them, their owners will never get rid of them, lol. Not everyone can afford to keep their dolls or has the space, or want all those dolls. I buy/sell based on bond, or if I want to downsize to get a doll. Good video though.
Great topic, I am a serial “label remover” so if I sell a doll, with all outfits bought for the doll, the clothes may be used once, unwashed, as new condition, but lable free, so I am totally ok receiving unlabelled, as new clothing, that said, these days I ask for just the doll and vest and nappy (and COA!) 💕💕💕
I find myself lately loving the process of doing research and finding a doll. It can be addictive. The process of finding one and waiting for it to arrive. I think that is very exciting. I haven’t sold one of my dolls in quite a long time. But , I love doing box openings. I put mine in a very nice sleeper to go home in. I usually get a new blanket. The original outfits they came with. Because, I don’t always use them. Then an outfit I’ve bought and love on that particular doll. Sorry didn’t mean for my comment to be so long. 😉
I know I had mentioned this to you, but I find that I love experiencing other artist’s work too, but I do find that when it comes to buying second hand dolls, unless I buy the doll from a friend, the doll just doesn’t stay long in my collection. I don’t know why that is, it isn’t because I don’t like the doll. I think it has to do with not having a personal or emotional tie to that doll with either the artist or a the person I purchased it from.
Hi there, first I really like your topic, second your little Girl is absolutely stunning. Well I’m with you I dropped the price to much and will not going to shopping for used dolls at all, all the outfits I sent with the doll I sold it’s new I just used few times and took the tag off or some it is new never used and plus it is a doll they do not dirty the clothes yes pleas smells cigarettes, or if have terrible smells yes gosh NO, all the outfits I sent with the dolls I sold it is clean. I respect for the buyer like I want they have the some to me although if I order a new doll paying the full price I would want new clothes, even though I’m like you I have so many baby clothes I been donated almost all them and I’m to particular with the dolls clothes so sometimes I even want their doll clothes. Great topic I really like it thank you so much to talk about that. I hope you have a blessed week 💕
Hello, can you give me the name to address you with, I am so sorry I forgot. Your babygirl Eliette is so beautiful. Love the expression on her face, so soft and gentle. This cosy pink outfit suits her well. I wish I could have one like that, with fluffy socks. Cozy on the couch, with a cup of tea or what ever. Yeah you have to have dreams. I only have one doll from Ali express 😂😅😂😅. I follow your dollycommunity. I like that . When there is a boxopening I truelly am happy for that person. My next babyboy will come in time, Now I have a babygirl. My husband is not into dolls. It will come when the time is there, I am sure. Sometimes the clothes are beautiful wrapped in expensive paper, somtimes I feel they are trown in the box. Gratitude is not that difficult. I can hear it in the voices if the gifts are liked or not. Be thankfull for everything you get, even if you don't use it. They don't know. But you can make somebody else happy with it. I would be.....but for me no boxopening.....no doll.....no clothes...... And surely I am longing for that too. But it is what it is..... ❤❤❤ have a nice day and enjoy
So, I’ve gotten to the point that I ask to not send clothes honestly. I have way too many. Usually the clothes I do send is the ones the dolls came with and I take advantage to send a few extra to get rid of my own hoarding of baby clothes 😂😅

As long as the box opening is clean and neat and packed well, when it comes to used dolls, I don’t care that much.

How can I purchase 1of your pre-loved babies? Is there a payment plan? Do you have any AA babies?
