I don't get it, I would have loved a baby doll like this when I was a preteen, but I actually grew up and had 4 real babies, looking at this baby, yes you can show it around, love it, bit you are never going to get any reaction from this looks like an embalmed newborn. Sort of speechless
Hi Tricia, I’m guessing you are fairly new to stumbling on collectible art dolls. I gave up trying to understand why I love them but of course, realistic dolls were my favorite growing up and they just are adorable to me. I have raised two stepdaughters myself and don’t view these as surrogate children or pretend they are babies, and they certainly don’t fill any kind of baby void in me. I just… love them and looking at them, and like any other collecting hobby the biggest point is just the enjoyment and joy it brings to one’s life that makes it just that little bit more happy. As it turns out, there are thousands of collectors that also enjoy this amazing art, some with different reasons for collecting than me. Thanks for sharing your thoughts 💕

Your very wrong my dear. No one that has these dolls ever thinks they are real, unless they are mentally ill. WE all know their just dolls. AND YES...we get all kinds of positive, wonderful, awesome reactions from 99%. You are very rude. Keep your mouth shut instead!
They arent for everyone. Collectors look for realism. And yes people do have different reasons why they like them. And I totally see why you are alarmed and maybe a bit creeper out. You know the artist is amazing if they could pass for a real baby. I've been painting these dolls for almost 3yrs. And I strive to get each one more realistic than the last. For me, painting is therapy. As a kid I always liked dolls and I painted the porcelain ones with my mom in my early teens. Now those were creepy lol 😆 something about holding a baby that brings peace. These are actually weighted with fine glass beads so this size baby would be around 5lbs. I'm so very excited this sculpt is almost ready to ship!!! If they aren't for you, that's ok!!! We all have reasons why we do and don't like dolls. Hope you're having a great week.
Unless you’re a doll collector you won’t get it. I’ve been painting these dolls for over 16 years now, the reactions I get from people are all different. Most people appreciate the art. As an artist the realism is what we strive for, we know they’re not real, lol however they are nice to dress and hold. They’re weighted too. A hobby is a good thing and no one is hurting anyone. ❤️
I have never seen anything so close to being real in all of my life. That little thing is absolutely perfect.
I am in complete awe at how real this baby doll looks! All of the detail in her painting is beyond amazing! The bottoms of her feet are perfection! The skin tone and her baby blotchy skin looks exactly like a real a real baby. Enjoy!!

The baby’s chest where the shoulders start is really weird looking. I’m sorry but it’s just so different from other newborn openings I’ve seen. I’m glad it makes you happy though.
