This lady did a whole detox, trim, retwist, style & all, which means a 6 whole months of a boy with hair being an active (probably impatient) boy with build up & everything else in 5 hrs and the best yall got is some off-hand tips about what YALL do. Aint none of yall doing her baby hair but her, so relax. 😒 Just compliment her on a job well done & push on. Tf. 🙄 His hair looks extremely healthy & full with the way you've managed it babe 😉 Damn good job!! 👍🏾
Why are we cutting loc ends, and u must be putting to much product in his hair cuz I have locs and I use zero products jus oil and water, and I have zero buildup at 5 years in.
Kids locs are different. Their clothes are mostly cotton and linty. They sleep and carry blankets by their face and head. They do not keep their bonnets on all night. They play with clothes and blankets on their heads. They tend to nap without wrapping first...so way more build up . We also tend to rush through hair washes bc they don't wanna be there. When I had mine I'd just let the water run through my locs for 5 full minutes.
That kind of build up comes from using products that are not designed for locs. Many products used on loose natural hair won’t rinse out of locs. Also there is no need to ‘trim’ the ends of locs.
So I need baking soda and apple cider vinegar just them 2 mix that in the water allow my locs to sit awhile , rinse and them retwist I’m just tryna be sure lady. I love your videos and I’m tryna make sure my hair is done right
Try loc brushing to remove lint that’s on the surface. A detox will not remove lint embedded in the hair. The only way to remove it is to comb the loc out or pick it out (this will damage the loc).
I do loc brushing as well. Kids are still busy so they still run in contact with lint. I didn’t do the detox for the lint. I did the detox for the build up. Thank you for the tips though! ❤️

There are no ends when it comes down to Locks I tell my clients you do not trim your ends your hair is Tangled in a pattern and a style that's what locks are so when you cut your ends if you decide to take your hair down you just kind of like just cut hunks out of your hair if you want your hair was straight and take it down you would have like holes missing like string cheese cutting your ends there's no ends when it comes to Locks because that's your hair Tangled Up don't cut your ends just repair them
If anyone decided to comb out their locs, the ends wouldn’t really matter because they’d have to cut a good amount off anyways due to knots, tangles, split ends and other sorts of damage caused while combing them out.
idk, but I've seen videos on locs and a few of the women said salt water helps the hair to loc. I started to do it to my hair when I had locs, but I never did.
@@tomas2665U stupid your not supposed to detox your locs every week, some ppl go years without detoxing, a detox and washing your hair is completely different, ofc he washes his hair every two weeks
You must not be accustom to locs. Imagine a kids full day of running around and having fun, kids hair gets dirty quick, and even with normal washing the buildup won’t come out the same as a regular loose head of hair. That’s why they have to deep clean to remove buildup from inside the locs, doesn’t mean they themselves are unhygienic, that’s just what comes with having locs 🤷🏽♀️ x10 for kids
Personally i liked the look of his locks before the retwist when you couldnt see his scalp and they looked natural not like 2 strand twists. But hey, to each their own.
Why would any parent let their child’s hair get to that point? All these people praising this are missing the fact that this child was walking around for god knows how long with dirty soiled hair. Unless you’re going to do that once a week you should cut his hair.

I used suave kid shampoo for him.
Leave ur dreads in that mixture for 15 minutes
I wish I’d known about this when my son was little. The Black girls bullied him so badly about his hair.
I’m sorry! They didn’t know any better.
I tried this on my son hair and it did not work but I did not use baking soda. I’ll try this again. Cuz his hair need it

My daughter is 11 and she has the same amount of lint. I put ZERO product in her hair. Kids move different
This is exactly how my son's look and I'm tired of it imma hook him up myself today 💯👌🏿 thank you
What’s the amount of ACV and Baking soda? Doing my daughter’s first ACV soak I’m nervous.
Did u get the answer? I’m wondering as well.
Beautiful job mom. Was so satisfying seeing you wash it and the outcome. ❤

Yes! I shampoo after I rinse, then re-twist.

What ratio of acv to vinegar to water do u use?
I don’t measure it. I just pour to my liking.
I have a danger problem what can I use for my hair can I use the same products that you use for the dreads
My son lint didnt come out after detox. What some things I could have wrong or done better ?
Dry brush locs
Why’d you cut the ends off? Just curious. Love the video and his hair came out so amazing ❤
Still need to trim ends for locs like un-loc’d hair
@@Iamphoenixarizona ah ok!

Yeah I've always done one and the t he other. Not both at the same time. Seems like together they would just cancel each other out
The after is awesome! Scalp and hair looks great.❤
i got a question i have got like 2 or 3 detox and sat in it for like 2 hours and the buildup went away but the lint isnt?
Dry brush locs
Nice, how many times a month do you do this!
Once every 6 months.
that’s disgusting you should be doing it at least once a week. He’s a child and you’re responsible for his hygiene.

Didn’t ask you.
So you like the freeform style? With no retwist. Do you have locs?
In the sink that's wild fam
😂😂😂😂😂
What's wrong with the sink? You act like she put him in the laundry machine.
