  • This week, I'm tackling a project that's been on my Honey-Do list for quite a while: Rustic Wooden Lanterns. This is a fairly easy, beginner woodworking project. I milled my own square dowels out of a 2x6, but you could buy yours from the home center, if you prefer.
    Get the plans from Jaime Costiglio: jaimecostiglio.com/wood-lante...
    Tools/Materials:
    Dewalt Miter Saw
    Craftsman Table Saw
    Ryobi Cordless 18 Gauge Nailer

    They lanterns are beautiful. Thank goodness your wife and daughter did the hard work to make them look so nice. Very nice video!!

      Thank you! I agree that it wouldn’t have been possible without those two carrying the work load. I was mainly there just to get in the way!

    I think you have some of the best thumbnails out of all of us. Awesome lanterns! I'm in the market for some sconces, maybe I should make them.

      Thanks, dude! These were an easy build that make for some nice decor. The one thing I will say is it is much more cost effective to rip your own square dowels than to buy them.

    Hello Brent,I love these wooden lanterns. Lanterns are very popular now in decorating,they are very versatile.You can decorate with them all year.I like the colors on both. Those will last a long time.

      Thank you! My wife can take total credit for this one. I was just the manual labor to build it 😁

      White Lab Workshop funny. When I saw the final frames of your video showing the end result I thought 💭 “ This is something my wife would buy at Cost Plus World 🌎 Market!”

    Very cool project and great to see the kids helping out! I for one hate using my brad nailer for the exact reason you showed. Often the nails don't go all the way in, or they pop out the side. I'd rather spend a day using a jigsaw than brad nailing!!

    • @WhiteLabWorkshop
      @WhiteLabWorkshop  4 роки тому

      Thanks, Grant! I definitely agree about the brad nailer. I think I’d actually rather have a pneumatic one, but I tend not to need it very often so it’s not worth the change. Now my jigsaw I don’t mind working with. Maybe I’m just a glutton for punishment?
