When recording first went digital , the digital recorders that producers used only had 4 tracks or 8 tracks on them. So they created a method called “Bussing” what you are describing is called bussing. It has been around for decades. You know that Macklemore song where he says “ I’ve been doing this since I was 15 on the 8 track “bussing” now they can’t tell me nothing”. Now you know what he was taking about. These new beatboxing live music stations are the same thing as old 4 track digital recorders from the 90s and 2000’s . Tascam used to make the most popular ones. This is called bussing.
Thanks for the info, it's deeply appreciated that you go into detail when showing all the menus! Subscribed :) The 'weird glitches' are no issue at all ;)
Can you double-check if all 3 bounce settings are really activated? Maybe try activating everything there is first (so 1. "Bounce Sw" up in Loop-Rec, 2. All "Bounce Track" switches up in Loop-Rec, 3. "Bounce In" activated in each Loop-Track menu). If it still doesn't work then, let me know
Side question about the LED colors: Are the track buttons really useless once assigned a color? The color options are really nice, but once changed it seems pointless, besides aesthetics, since they don't function anymore, which is a shame!... Not dogging on your creative lights, btw, it looks great!
They are actually not at all useless with colors assigned! You can go to Menu -> Assign, select the buttons as the Source and e.g. TRK1 FX as the target and this way remain the functionailty (I don't think there's one for Track Edit though unfortunately). In a way it's more elegant, because you can choose what each of your buttons do and on top of that you get nice colours haha. Coincidentally I talk about this in the video that premieres in 30 min, if you want to see this in action :)
Sorry for the weird video glitches. I made a mistake in the editing process and could not undo it anymore 😔 Will be fixed for the other 2 videos!
thank you...
Great explanation and demonstrations! Thanks so much for this.

That's interesting! I knew that bounce or I guess bussing wasn't exclusive to the RC505, but I didn't know to what extent. Thanks for the explanation!
thanks man this will help so much because i should be getting my mk2 today and i do plan on using this feature
Congrats :) I recommend trying out random stuff first though, lots of stuff to explore on the MK2!

Nice video!
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Still can't quite understand how bouncing works. Was trying, it was on, but nothing was happening.
