Pillorian and Khorada are the bands formed from the ashes of Agalloch. Pillorian has their album out now (Obsidian Arc). Khorada seems to not being doing anything, though.
idk what it is. it's just something about this whole album that makes it stand out so much, NOTHING can compare. The riffs, the drums, the vocals and the lyrics, NAILED. I´ve tried to look for other albums/ songs like this but to no avail.
Here are a few of my recommendations. Vorna - Sateet Palata Saavat Karg - Dornenvögel (Harakiri's vocalist's side project) MØL - Jord And of course Harakiri's latest 2 albums.
BY FAR one of the greatest albums I've heard this past year. I don't understand how this band is not more popular. Probably because they are too good and only pop/commercial garbage makes it to the top.
I shy away from comparing bands or albums because there is so much out there, in terms of variant styles and whatnot. But damn, this is such an amazing piece of work right here. Its right up my alley. The blending together of melodic and atmospheric elements. The post metal and blackgaze influences. Wow, I can definitely say that this is a favorite for me, personally.
I want to buy this CD so bad but I wish there was a US distributor. This album is absolute amazing, shout out to my girlfriend for showing me these guys. Absolutely beautiful work!
This and the other one (Arson album) Means that the HFTS is one of the best post black metal.. Love And Greetings From Libya 🤘🏻 You Will Be Always A Special Band To Me Cuz Those Riffs That Voice Everything in HFTS was with me in my darkest day
See you at Wolfszeit. One of the reasons I bought the ticket. Even though I promised my self that I would never go there again after 2009. But hey.... Satyricon, Solstafir, Harakiri for the Sky, Urfaust, Nargaroth. Who could say no, if it is just an hour drive away. Damn. First Fest all by myself. I am excitet. :D
I have NO idea why this popped up in my recommendations all of a sudden....but 6mins into it I'm already loving the sh!t out this!! Grüße aus Deutschland
I listen to this album again and again! It is ideal for solo winter trekking. Your music helps my soul to warm up, but it causes a chill on my skin. Hello from cold Siberia! P.S. 42:53 - it's better then orgasm!
In meinen Augen die aktuell kreativste Band da draussen. Ich bin wirklich wählerisch, komme von Dornenreich und Alcest mit astronomischen Erwartungen, doch Harakiri for the Sky haben mich komplett weggeblasen. Danke für diese einzigartige, Atmosphäre.
Been looking for something to fill that Agalloch sized hole in my library after listening to every single one of their releases at least a dozen times. This'll do nicely.
Any genre of Metal that involves a derivative of speed metal and growling is labeled Extreme. It's a range of genres, not just one. So yeah, Post Black Metal is an Extreme Metal genre just like Depressive Suicidal Black Metal is another kind of Extreme genre (much more extreme, granted). It's the same as labeling Black Sabbath as a Heavy Metal band. They weren't really heavy, they just were "heavier" than other bands at the time. They were initially a Blues band called Earth.
Why do Black Metal puritans always come in to say Black Metal can only be be low-fi, brutal, and unmelodic? Music is supposed to be melodic, otherwise it's just noise. This band is a great example of Post-Black Metal, hence their popularity.
After listening to this album for a few months, I have reached the conclusion that this is one of the most desperate, yet moving, records in the Black Metal.
i was listening to some bm songs with autoplay on and then discovered this masterpiece, wasn't dissapointed. Thanks UA-cam... finally some fuckin' good recommendations!!
i've just noticed this band and i'm in love with it! if i can find something in common with other bands i can say i sometime find some Insomnium Shadows of the Dying Sun influences.Great work!Horns up from Italy

Yes
wtf is this album, emotional damage, can't hold my tears
Someone recommended me this band. This album made me stop crying. I will stay here much longer. Thank you
Good decision 🖤
If Harakiri for the Sky and Agalloch toured together, I firmly believe the Sun would refuse to rise for a whole day.
Out of respect.
Unfortunally this is not possible to happen anymore...
RIP Agalloch!
Grab Moore John from Agalloch.. Is in a new band and are playing with these guys soon...Hell Yeah !

Fabuleux. Avec Aokigahara c'est deux albums infernaux... Du talent brut !!!
BY FAR one of the greatest albums I've heard this past year. I don't understand how this band is not more popular. Probably because they are too good and only pop/commercial garbage makes it to the top.
It is the most beautiful, atmospheric and emotional band on this planet! What they created is outstanding...
just woke up this morning, and randomly type harakiri on youtube, then I stumbled onto this. damn my luck is weirdly good today.
Almost 3 years later and still I haven't find such a good album.
What a fuking masterpiece !!!
An album to lift our spirits up during the pandemic.
This is...really fucking good.
Für mich eines der besten Alben aller Zeiten. Jedes Lied ein Knaller.

Found this album through my recommendations and damn the emotions this album gives is just
pure genius album. listened to it 100 times.
A great new addition to their discography.
They were in France for Motocultor Festival on August 18th, I was impressed, very good show, hope they will continue to produce such good music.
J-Luc
this was the first album i had listenned from them . . . . . simply beautiful! . . . . then was the Aokigahara (but this is so special for me)
Very highly recommended. An emotional ride. One of the best post metal albums if not the very best. Harakiri for the Sky III: Trauma
Absolutely loving this.

I can't explain how much i love this album.Always bosst me up.
i have been hearing a lot of prog rock and prog metal recently, but this random album I'm hearing is sending me back to my black metal days
Their best record alongside “Aokigahara”.

I find here also some Rotting Christ's "Sleep of the Angels" vibes

Excellent band
Been looking for something to fill that Agalloch sized hole in my library after listening to every single one of their releases at least a dozen times. This'll do nicely.
Beautiful
another journey into my soul.....
This is art!
As someone who isn't generally a fan of Extreme Metal genres I must say I'm surprised at how good this album is. Great stuff!
This is extreme?
Any genre of Metal that involves a derivative of speed metal and growling is labeled Extreme. It's a range of genres, not just one. Accidently came across this album via UA-cam recommendations.
What a revalation.
Great stuff!!
This Life As A Dagger is a fantastic track.... My favorite
I am glad I chose to go for youtube's recommendation for once! Flawless music! This is on repeat since morning!
excelente atmosfera lml
Come to Rockmaraton pls!
Thanatos
"Fuck this life" made me smile. Awesome drumming. Music to chill before sleep. It feels so good.. :)
Best album ever! 😍😍😍

Music is supposed to be whatever the artists themselves want it to be. Both Mütiilation and Harakiri For The Sky can rock at the same time ;)
This, 100% ^^^^
Impressed. Indeed, excellent performance.
Amazing album
Really beautiful album! One of the best so far this year!
Very happy to have come across this! Absolutely love it!
After listening to this album for a few months, I have reached the conclusion that this is one of the most desperate, yet moving, records in the Black Metal.
This band and album so far r breathtaking, yet leaves me breathless at the same time. Perfect!!!
Ребята, вы молодцы! Очень понравились

i've just noticed this band and i'm in love with it! if i can find something in common with other bands i can say i sometime find some Insomnium Shadows of the Dying Sun influences.Great work!Horns up from Italy
check out associated bands "Heretoir", "Ancst" and "King Apathy" (formerly known as Thranenkind), they share members with Hariki... i think...
Boston Stump thanx man, i'm gonna discover these bands in the next few days!🤘
Also "bifröst", "Agalloch" and my personal favourite "Karg"
Boston Stump no ANOMALIE, KARG, and SEAGRAVE does. King apathy and heretior don't but close, they're all mates and often play gig's together.
Insomnium - Ghost Brigade - HFTS is now my pantheon of best band.
Es una obra de arte, excelente.
echt der hammer 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Just discovered this band (kinda late, I know...) and I heard they would be coming to Brazil in September! Lovely!!! ❤
Talita Rodrigues, é sério essa noticia? Estou impressionado com essa banda.
@@las_adv eles viriam pro Setembro Negro, mas com a pandemia, nem sei se ainda vai rolar
