    If Harakiri for the Sky and Agalloch toured together, I firmly believe the Sun would refuse to rise for a whole day.

    I dont understand those people saying "I like everything but I hate the vocals" What do you expect if this is Post-Black Metal and is masterpiece, both, vocals and instrumental, If u want another shit then go listen pop shit

    • @mrsputum4082
      @mrsputum4082 7 років тому +7

      I don't think the problem is that people think the vocals are too harsh, but rather the opposite. The vocals sound quite hardcore-ish and not as extreme as they usually do in black or death metal. Sooo listening to pop wouldn't exactly be a step in the right direction. Also there's nothing wrong with criticising aspects of a band.

    • @TheFuckingVicious
      @TheFuckingVicious 7 років тому +2

      What the fuck? Post-black metal? Is that supposed to make you feel like you're a BM fan? Because you're not.
      This has nothing to do with BM.
      It sounds like a generic screamo/hardcore band. You don't know shit about black metal.
      Mediocre stuff, at best.

      Slowdive. Black metal is half baked garbage. It doesn't identify as music. And ur superiority complex attained by listening to a 5 piece band that make noise is ur delusion of it being objectively better.

    Why do Black Metal puritans always come in to say Black Metal can only be be low-fi, brutal, and unmelodic? Music is supposed to be melodic, otherwise it's just noise. This band is a great example of Post-Black Metal, hence their popularity.

      lol, I did the exact same thing some year ago. figured they'd be some generic metalcore-band. then they resurfaced on my release radar @ spotify and took a listen. Literally blown away. Heroin Waltz might be the best song I've heard since Behemoth released "The Satanist" back in 2014. Stoked for their new album, Arson. So far, so excellent.

    gli harakiri for the sky. i tecnicismi non mi competono, non li conosco, non ho nemmeno mai suonato uno strumento, mi sarebbe piaciuta la batteria. sarebbe stata perfetta per una come me che "fa tanto rumore". non so un cazzo di come descriverli così lo faccio a parole mie. loro sono il caos e la perfezione di un cuore in pezzi, ascoltarli è come sbattere forte la testa, come esplodere su una mina, come lanciarsi dall'ottavo piano, ottavo piano come ottavo giorno. un giorno che non esiste ma in cui sono stati creati i diversi, che però esistono invece. ottavo piano, so esattamente cosa si proverebbe. volo di pochi istanti, tonfo muto dello schianto, in una frazione di secondi dentro senti solo...imploderti. è come inciampare e cadere in terra ma al massimo del volume possibile. loro li sento suonare così e poi ancora sono melodici, aggressivi, struggenti, carnali, rapidi, supersonici, massacranti, ipnotici, amari, dolci, commoventi, carezzano come una lama contropelle, sono fiammeggianti, sbranano mentre suonano. li ascolto così. li amo così. fuck.

      Any genre of Metal that involves a derivative of speed metal and growling is labeled Extreme. It's a range of genres, not just one. So yeah, Post Black Metal is an Extreme Metal genre just like Depressive Suicidal Black Metal is another kind of Extreme genre (much more extreme, granted). It's the same as labeling Black Sabbath as a Heavy Metal band. They weren't really heavy, they just were "heavier" than other bands at the time. They were initially a Blues band called Earth.

      Boston Stump no ANOMALIE, KARG, and SEAGRAVE does. King apathy and heretior don't but close, they're all mates and often play gig's together.

    Very enjoyable, vocals are lacking of imo -even if I liked the clean parts, though, but definitely worth a second listening. I would be glad to see them live!

    Can't seem to get into this. It's like they can't decide wether they want to be some dark, brooding hardcore or black metal, and fall into a languishing, punchless limbo. Glad they're finding an audience though.

      I agree. This album feels somewhat different than Aokigihara and the other ones, but they were still able to bring out something that sounds nice. The lyrics of the first song are kinda common and not that well written, but at least the vocalist easily conveys how he feels about loss and grief.
