The pure definition of black metal. Perfect from start to finish. One of the best albums ever. The atmosphere and the resulting emotions that this music creates cannot be put into words.

Recently i've been getting into DSBM and i'm noticing a change in myself and my daily life. It does not feel like 56 minutes and 26 seconds. It feels like going through a whole night of destroying everything and crying of desperation. The calm moments of pure melancholy and then the huge waves of pure blackness just do about it for getting my anger out of me. Thank you for uploading this masterpiece! Hail Austrian Black Metal!
Hello L.G, this is still one of my fave Albums...we've had eMail Contact, thanks for your reply back then. These days are being difficult, my Father passed away a few Weeks ago, your Music especially keeps me going...whileas Time would heal nothing, at least we humans figure out a way, to life with the emotional Pain....
I love the horns and the deep stringsets. They give a sense of finality, conclusion and/or destiny. Yet there is so much more here as I am discovering Ellende's music. Such perfect symphonies that bring sound to the struggles I deal with in life these days. There seems to be a limit to how many different ways things can work out now for me. Thank you for allowing me to make this correlation. My time spent thinking and reflecting seems so important.

I’ve never been a big Black Metal fan but this really does it for me. You can hear the sorrow in it and the cresting waves of emotion. Absolute masterpiece.

Der beste Song seit Anbeginn der Zeit, sobald ich ellende höre habe ich Tränen in den Augen, Herr Gott lass diese Band in alle Ewigkeit bestehen. So was geiles gibt es nicht noch mal. Ich bin sooooowas von begeistert von ellende, das ist einfach unbeschreiblich. Danke an ellende, ihr seid mit großem Abstand die aller besten.

I have to say that very few albums capture my attention with one time listening... this is one of those albums..very majestic, hard core, peaceful and super heavy at times.. this is what music is all about, people from all places listen to this and sharing their feelings and mainly knowing that Black Music still has it's beauty hidden... you just have to find it...Am Ende stirbst du Allein is one of the best tracks of the album period...
this whole album just now, made me realize how many other songs in the past, i must have missed on, not to mention the passion of a lost and wondering soul, in search of a journey, long forgotten, somehow he's found a guide that can only be described in the dooms of symphonic, Black Metal.

I found it on youtube by mistake in autumn 2016. 3 months later I have seen the band on stage. I am listening to this music since 25 years. But since I have discovered Disscetion, Burzum, Emperor and Mayhem I have never felt the goosebumps so intense by hearing music until I have found Ellende. AMAZING!! Man I used to get drunk and listen to this album while thinking about suicide and now I've been sober for almost 3 years but still listen to this just without the suicide part lol
this is pure music period, cannot get any more heartfelt and real than this..............period, just pure " I can see into Ellende's backyard and they invited me into Ellende's house for supper and a beer, and got a chance to experience someones else's life for a while

,,Todbringer" ist noch viel geiler als ,, Ellende", alleine der Song ,,Scherben" ist in meinen Augen Milliarden mal geiler als alles was ich kenne, macht weiter so Ellende, .....und bringt Bitte noch mehr solche geilen Songs, ihr seid sooo was von geil, ich kann's in Worten nicht beschreiben....👍👌👍

I have been listening to this for years. I first found it the day a good friend died. It makes my mind race to the trenches of WW1. It rips at my soul. I write this with tears and anger and anguish in my eyes as I listen to it for the millionth time. It has never lost its sharp edge. I absolutely love this still.

Die Art von Gesang ist zwar eigentlich überhaupt nicht mein Ding aber dieses Album ist einfach großartig! Die Melodien sind einfach unglaublich schön und bewegend.
Da hört man sich rein. Anfangs konnte ich damit auch nichts anfangen, inzwischen versteh ich sogar teilweise was er da "singt" :)
