I really like both the wall art pieces you made. My favourite has to be the sewn fabric pieces one. It has given me the inspiration for a similar project that I can make using a dress that used to belong to my mother who passed away many years ago. I have been keeping the dress because it is too precious to give away but I had no idea what to do with it until now. Your wall art has given me the idea to take a small piece off of the dress, maybe at the hem or from the pocket, and make a piece of art like you have done. I might see if I can add pieces of fabric from items belonging to myself, my daughter and my granddaughter, so that it will have fabric from all four of us, so it becomes a generational record of things we wore and loved. What do you think? Does the idea sound feasable? Your art piece totally gave me the idea. So thank you so much. God bless you and yours. Have a great rest of your week Renee.
This is such a beautiful idea Carly! Using a piece of fabric from your mother’s dress will add sentimental value to the wall art ♥️ and a piece of your, your daughter and granddaughter’s dress will be the perfect addition to it! The wall art would depict the loving bond between mothers and daughters and their granddaughters! The wall art will be an asset to pass on to the next generation! This reminded me of my grandma whom I lost 14 years ago.. I love her so much and adding pieces of her, my mother’s and my dress to make a wall art will be such a beautiful way to remember her! Thank you so much for the amazing idea Carly! You are the best! Have a wonderful week🥹❤️❤️
Ahh so pretty!! You create the most beautiful of interior art with the simplest of materials. I adore it! Love the color pallets too, so warm and comforting to look at. Wonderful video!!
