To get the droids point closer to 500 I’ve seen people use the ball mode models as a second unit of droideka. That way the points even out and it’s still only using what’s in the box
First of all, welcome to Legion! I just came... from your painting Legion video and your Terrain looks great. I can vividly imagine a Legion battle taking place on this wasteland. I love the little blaster shots added in post! Great little touch for realism. I get you're playing with just the Core Set, but Esteemed Leader isn't great for Grevious, since his abilities actually benefit a lone soldier playstyle, while the droid do the boring job of keeping the objectives. It's not ideal for Obi-Wan either, though, as both Obi-Wan and the Clones are expensive units, and neither one want to be taking damage. Also, I really don't find Standing Orders at all valuable, unless all your commanders/operatives are dead... Standard board size is 6ft by 3ft. Skirmish is 3ft by 3ft. Grand Army is 12ft by 6ft c; A little more area terrain, some tall grass, deep crater, or pool of acid. Other than Kenobi, I don't think anyone has the Jump keyword. I don't remember if the Speeder can move over Height 1 terrain, but verticality is not always the best option, but provides a way to break stalemates.
Thanks for the watch. Yeah, it's been a year since I put out the video and have learned a lot since then. Basic rookie mistakes were made, but thanks for the comment. Hopefully, it will help someone else who is just starting off. New terrain has been made, and playstyle has grown. I really need to make a new batrep, lol.
Can you do a full breakdown of the skirmish rules and setup. I am brand new to table top games and legion is my first try. I want to do skirmish before I go into long play.
Skirmish has all the same rules as regular Legion with just a few changes. It's played on a 3x3, you have 500 points to build your force with, and the amount of things you can take are reduced (only one commander etc....). There are also only four of each deployment, scenario, and condition cards. Here is a link to the official AMG Skirmish doc: www.atomicmassgames.com/star-wars-legion-documents
great job man! really pleasant to watch :D i'm just now painting my first minis for star wars legion myself - finished a unit of phase 1 clones and working through a unit of phase 2 clones as well as yoda! :P you mentioned that you couldn't use all your dice to shoot with because some of the models couldn't see the enemy unit, but i thought only the leader of a unit had to have the target unit in sight in order to shoot them? well, like i said i haven't even played a game yet so i might be wrong! :P anyways, nice job :)
Thanks. That's how I understood it but absolutely do not take how I did things as gospel. Pretty sure I did it that way cause I heard someone on a Legion podcast talk about it. Need to get me a Yoda. He's crazy good.
I didn't. I assembled, painted, then played. Painting in sub assembly is fine but is honestly a lot more work. I find that I don't even think about it anymore and have learned how to get to the tricky spots with some practice.
@@NinetaleHobbies nice, thanks for the answer. I want to get into this game, having played star wars miniatures by wizards of the coast in the past. However, the painting (building is fine I guess) kind of turned me off. But I guess I can assemble them and go on painting them as time goes on, since I have no experience painting minis and no material either
They make inexpensive paint sets for Legion ooooooor, if you could hire a commission artist *cough cough 😁. But for real, I get ya. At least if you go with empire or clones the painting is easier.
hey this video is amazing i play the clones and its awesome.. just a heads up the barc speeders can only shoot directly infront of them as the are a special vehicle its annoying but the blasters on them are fix mounted.. still an amazing video keep up the good work

I'm not shure if I read the rules correctly but how I understand it you can only chain comand tokens between battle Droid so it shouldn't have gone the drodikas

That's actually a great idea, maybe just put a token on them for whether or not they're rolling at the time, that way you can make use of both
Very good idea. Thanks for the tip.
Great job editing. I like the entry level batreps
Had some fun with it. Still need to up some of the vfx but it's getting there.
I loved it! It was relaxing to listen and I hope you keep doing them!
For sure. Got some gear to help me get em out quicker. Excited for Shatterpoint to come out and do some batreps with that.
Great first battle report. I’m new to this game to so this was helpful.
Awesome! Good to know it was of some use.
Nice one man, im just commentjng to support, i dont have anything to say
I very much appreciate that.
Great bat rep, can't wait to see the next one
It's in the works. Just not as fast as I would like.
This was very well done.
Thank you! I need to get the next one finished but commissions have been slowing me down.

Hey man, did you start playing before you painted the minis? Do you think its that much harder to paint the minis after they are assembled?

You're right. When I made this I didn't realize that they weren't Troopers.
@@NinetaleHobbies It was still entertaining.
Nice and profi video bro ! 😌💞
Appreciate it. Got a new one started as we speak.
Looks good to me.
Thanks! I surprised my own self at how well I kept to the rules.
Where are the clones bought from?
The clone wars core set.
Where did you get the debrie
Thingiverse. I remodeled the Jedi fighter and vulture droid.
