Also, vaders relentless ability let's him do a free attack action after a move. So he can for example do move-move-saberthrow in one go. lewis missed out on that i think when he activated vader (Luke has "charge" which is the same thing really except that it's just a free _melee_ attack, so move-move-melee attack). And lukes "jump 1" let him jump onto(or over) buildings of range one without ANY movement impairment. So he can move over a pretty high terrainpiece at movement 2.
As an aside the reason you thought the light saber throw was a free action on Vader is because Vader has the relentless rule which allows him to perform an attack action for free after moving.
Have a grand strategy of Rebellion but every time there is a space battle, play Armada. But during Armada whenever fighters fight, play x-wing. After that, whenever there is a ground battle, play Legion. A maybe is when you perform certain hero actions, play Imperial Assault.
hey games night i have watched about 5 differant vids on other channels trying to learn to play and this one by far is the most understandable, great vid and thanks for making things seem easy to learn
I've not seen a 'Lets play Star Wars Legion' before now. It looks a lot easier than I thought it did with all the doodads in the box. And yet another 'I'd love to see you play Terminator Genisys' plea from me. Who doesn't love a T800?
This game looks real cool, wish i had friends who were interested or knew a place on long island where people gather for table tops. Used to play Warmachine but the place i played at closed, was a shame.
I've not played a tabletop game before and this currently seems like the rules of Marshgamon to me. ... I'm really hoping that after a few rounds, this is something I'd start to get the hang of. I'd really like to actually play with my minis for once rather than just painting them up.
Ben, y'know that Darth Vaders finest troops he served with had *the* shinest armour. So it wouldn't really make sense for the best to have such a disheveled look. Even the rebels had a cleaning Droid.
Oppps, I'm Dumb. After explaining that crits ignore cover, I then applied cover and lost a crit.
Ben (Yogscast) it’s just book rules

love the series of you and lewis playing star wars board games! keep it up man!
The phone footage in this series is really appreciated. Much easier to see the models and to keep up with what's going on on the table.
Appreciate the editing in this, makes understanding how it all works much easier
We need more armada. Please boat god!
Seconded!
Kieran Allen I Agree!
They did armada?
Ben and Hulmes did a few episodes.
yes please, the boat king was awesome, i learned so much from those episodes
Is it wrong that I really want them to do a Armada/Legion story campaign thing kind of like empire at war?
Oh holy shit that would be incredible
well, there is a campaign for armada called the corellian conflict but it takes a while
I actually am trying to come up with a campaign that combines legion, armada, and rebellion to be close to EAW (RTS thing is obviously lost)
Have a grand strategy of Rebellion but every time there is a space battle, play Armada. But during Armada whenever fighters fight, play x-wing. After that, whenever there is a ground battle, play Legion. A maybe is when you perform certain hero actions, play Imperial Assault.
That would be cool i think some guys did it with battlefleet gothic and warhammer 40k
Editing was supremely well done and very helpful for understanding, good job!
Thanks for the play through guys
Pretty sure every gun from the original trilogy was a WWII gun with some space bits stuck on
congrats, you learned something we all have knew for 30 years
This has renewed my need for more Armada. Grace us with another series oh great Space Boat King!
Would really like to see more legion on this channel, this video is what got me playing it in the first place
hey games night
i have watched about 5 differant vids on other channels trying to learn to play and this one by far is the most understandable, great vid and thanks for making things seem easy to learn
Brilliant learning video. I'd have been lost without it. And I love the humour. Well done, gents, and thank you!
12:48 I like how the camera angle makes it look like the skull has an orange mouth guard.
1:40 "Duros" is the species name of those blue guys ^^
I would love to see more of these playthroughs for Legion and Armada
This is really good, I'd love to see more :)
Finally! I've been waiting and hoping for legion
This combat is very interesting to watch. Really enjoyed this
I've not seen a 'Lets play Star Wars Legion' before now. It looks a lot easier than I thought it did with all the doodads in the box.
And yet another 'I'd love to see you play Terminator Genisys' plea from me. Who doesn't love a T800?
Love this format and watching Ben readjust lewis's sneaky forward movements.
Was super excited to see some Legion content after watching the painting vid where Ben was working on them! Keep it up boys...and Tom
The editing in this video is superb. Well done to whoever did it!
Hey Ben where do you and Lewis get your tabletop miniatures worlds sets like the generators and boxes they look awesome
This game looks real cool, wish i had friends who were interested or knew a place on long island where people gather for table tops. Used to play Warmachine but the place i played at closed, was a shame.
I really enjoy legion, and this is a great video
Thanks for these videos, they surely help new players like me!
SO excited for this game :D been playing since launch and so happy to see Ben Boat god and that other man play!
Wwe need more card games on games night!
Great camera work mixed with the editing, greatly improved the experience :D
YESSSSSSS I've been waiting for this!
Shouldn’t the cover of the spender bikes be negated bye the critical hits?
Was wondering that myself :P
Play this again, Ben vs Lewis in all these Star Wars FFG games are great to watch!
This was surprisingly good!
very nicely done beginner video. I am just getting a ton of Empire units on a trade all painted, so hoping to jump right into the game!
I see that you have forgone the use of the complicated setup, and just used your phones, still looks just as good!
Finally, this game is so good!
YES, MORE OF ANYTHING STAR WARS
Really liking this so far. Can't wait to see a droid army though.
im just getting these to make my custom clone company and painting miniatures is fun
muuuuuuuuuch better with the phone camera, for reference then the bloodbowl game was impossible to follow. this was nice!
This is really cool, I always like the star wars focused game more because I'm such a star wars nerd.
I need to see videos of this with Tom, Hulmes and Radderss
really like this
This is looking cool. I want moreeee!!
Man, warhammer 40k with this editing would kick so much ass
Just a parentheses, but that is a nice set! :) Well done whoever did that!
I've not played a tabletop game before and this currently seems like the rules of Marshgamon to me. ... I'm really hoping that after a few rounds, this is something I'd start to get the hang of. I'd really like to actually play with my minis for once rather than just painting them up.
Where did you get the added terrain/objects extras?
Lewis knows the true power OF THE DARK SIDE
Some interesting rules/mechanics.
I know this is from left field, but I would love a video some day on your editing process. Must be a gargantuan task at times.
This game seems good, definitely would like to see more.. AND BRING BACK BATTLEBOYS
Small flub with the DLT-19, it dosent have the exhuast symbol so it can be used freely
technically the DLT-14 was an MG-34 not an MG-42, but easy mistake. I mean they both did the SAME JOB in the German Wehrmacht.
Hey its ok for Vader to hide behind a box, Big Boss Earths legendary soldier hid in boxes. ;3
I want to play this game so badly. SOMEONE NEEDS TO PLAY WITH ME!
Would you guys recommend citadel or vallejo paints for the mini's?
I remember the Z6 from the republic commandos books
Ben, at 21:20 would the Cover 1 from the speeders count even though you rolled all crits?
Ben's painting "They are not quite finished yet" I fucking hate you Ben those are 100 times better than I could do. :-P
Star Wars Warhammer captures what I thought when I bought the core set.
Love to play this
So I know this video is a year old but does anybody know what kind of building models they are using/where they are available?
This just came up in my recommended after watching some Star Wars Armada gameplay and holy shit is that Yogscast Lewis?
What is easier to learn Star Wars legion or shatter point?
This is awesome!
MG-34* not MG-42. Although there is another gun in the Star Wars universe that is made from the MG-42
Darth Vader learned to use terrain to his advantage! Will he take the high ground?
Are the minis metal, resin or plastic?
Are they difficult to assemble?
This seems like the weird love child of Star Wars and Crossfire.
Does cover 1 on the speeder bikes cancel a crit
either I missed something or we were never told about how well Ben did at the armada competition
I came here thinking that this is just too nerdy.... I'm leaving here thinking that it's still nerdy but I wanna try it. This looks cool.
Crispy Too nerdy, no such thing mate p
This is great! now let's get more Armada, and some X-wing too, and we'll be swimming in FFG Star Wars content :D
looks very good. I had a look on the store, i think i will have to wait for a big before i buy it. Can you use warhammer paint and glue for theses ?
Warhammer paint but you need super glue not plastic cement.
You can use whatever paints strike your fancy mate
The paint will be perfect. For assembly, just use regular superglue.
This is great so I will leave a comment to help with youtube algorithms.
Great game!!
DLT-19 and Z-6 special weapon troops don't get exhausted. the HH-12 and the MP-57 do. Otherwise, ERMAHGERD FERNALLY! LERGERN!
hehheeheyyy the phone seems like the way forward to me.
handycam or whatever for dice box, phone for close ups
Ben is the second sexiest thing I’ve ever seen, Tom being he first of course
For next time: the phone camera is horizontally mirrored in some shots.
Wouldn't the cover rule from Lewis' speeder bike be cancelled by the Criticals Ben rolled?
Is the phone camera footage mirrored for some reason?
Nice video, but why is the mobile-cam mirrored?
you guys should try the card game Coup! Fun game with quick rounds, all about deception
I wanna get round the back of you ! - Lewis Brinley 2018
Can we get a rematch? This video is great
Can Ben PLEASE do some model painting tutorials
Is this a hard game to understand by any chance
What took you guys so long!!!
Do more of this and Armada
But Vader mostly makes his spooky entrances behind cover.
Lewis phone camera is half decent for a phone camera
Anyone know if they have a halo version
I like this game
DLT was an MG34 not a 42
“Blue-head aliens” are Duros
Oh sweet, a non GW wargame.! Those figures look tasty.
More Armada Please!
I'm a newb but I read that the bikes have to be pointed in the same direction
Ben, y'know that Darth Vaders finest troops he served with had *the* shinest armour. So it wouldn't really make sense for the best to have such a disheveled look. Even the rebels had a cleaning Droid.
