Upon watching your entire video, I would like to add to my earlier comment. If my new, just under £1300 rifle shot groups like yours, in doors, at less than 40 metres, it would be back to the shop toot sweet.
They are resting a bottle on a bag, free holding the rear, what do you expect? This is not a benchrest set up and will compromise accuracy
I have a couple of bullpups that are as accurate as this and much less expensive:
Beeman 1358 Underlever ($250)
Walther Reign ($500)
Bought the prophet a, few years back, my choice of squizzer / rat control out of all my rifles, QYS Magnum 13grn an absolute must
I bought one of these, but with the carbon bottle, I part exchanged an FX impact MK 3 and I can honestly say that I ain’t missing the FX.
FX are crap...P3 is the nuts.....
@@Hutchy46agreed.
@@Hutchy46ce n'est pas ce que donnes les résultats en compétition.Fx is best RTI...... C'est factuel sans sentimentalisme ni léchage de fesse.......
I dumped all
My FX rifles, I was fed up with all the leaks and valve/regulator failures, much prefer RTI, a lot less O-rings and just nicer to shoot with a much better magazine system . RTI are a relatively new company, with s lot of novel ideas, they are making inroads into the competition scene.
Hello, congratulations on the review. This Prophet 3 looks like a very interesting product. Since I know that there is also the performance version with the increased carbon bottle and the pressure regulator installed, I wondered if starting from this basic P3 as in the video, it would be possible to install the pressure regulator and the upgrade the bottle on it without any complications and make it a " Prophet 3 performace version"?
I apologize if I asked a silly question.
Keep it up with the channel! 💯
JTS Airacuda Max £500 .22 @35m grouped better than my URAGAN 2. Uragan 2 sold, I bought a JTS Airacuda Max .177 and a scope upgrade px. The only downside, the JTS's are like holding a Main Battle Tank on the end of a fishing rod,
Vector continental scopes are excellent ,
Yes and very expensive
I think sadly, not being able to swap over the cocking lever would be a deal breaker for me. I honestly can't believe that for the price, you don't get a carbon wrapped bottle. 🙁
I have this with my Steyr LG110, Its so accurate on an indoor Range it does become boring.
Another brilliant wee video..well done
Glad you enjoyed it
Definitely function over form. Each to their own but it looks too minimalist for me.
so for me i would need a level on the rifle . when the scope is so far from the barrel even a little bit of cant can affect the point of impact and i am not that good at holding the rifle dead upright 🤣🤣🤣 however still very nice little gun for the money that’s for sure little bit of adjustment and practice and pellet testing definitely be would improve the already very good groups . i have 2 of those scopes and i find them very good . only one thing i could level at them is low mag you can definitely loose the ret
“You aiming at the middle now?” 🤣
I can't get it out my head that this rifle just doesn't look "right". Maybe the "tactical" look isn't for me but it seems like the scope has had an argument with the barrel. Whatever happened to the age old saying, "Mount the scope as near to the bore axis as possible"?
I realise that looks are subjected but that is just my opinion. If i was going to spend £1300 on an air rifle this one would not be on my short list.
Still, my opinion only matters to me, but it is mine.
Peter and Lawrence work well together, keep the vids rolling guys.
Ive have used a few ",bullpup" style rifles and owned an FX Dream line.....sorry bit the rifles are difficult to shoot accurately.
Despite all the hype, the reason is all because with a normal weight scope, the longitudinal centre of gravity is ABOVE the barrel, the weight of the scope makes the barrel swing on an arc: this is clearly shown by the pellet distribution! Compare this with the true accuracy of a conventional rifle such as an AA510 or a Daystate Huntsman you reviewed: these rifles , even scoped balance along the line of the barrel....
Best regards
The scope mounts could be so much lower than that
These reviews are always full of chemistry and charisma...quote of the video "just give that a feel....hummm, feels nice doesnt it.....yes!
Yes, very British LOL
Guys, how have you worked out that 1mm of movement at the butt end is less at the muzzle. I think you’re confusing force with movement and getting it all back to front. 10:07
Apologies if it was not clear in the video. We only mean that when the resting point (and in turn potential pivot point) is further forward on the rifle, the amount of lateral movement at the butt end is somewhat reduced when compared to having the airgun rested towards the middle of the rifle.
It looks homemade. No thought for design. I’ll stick to my Katran for a gun under £1300
Yes i’m not keen on the looks of a lot of the tactical rifles. They look a lot like something a builder would use to fill gaps in walls / windows !
I have a Prophet ccmpact and a Katran B. They are both great guns and it would be very hard for me to pick a favourite. Don't let looks deceive you, this is a very advanced and accurate rifle.
This home made rifle won the silver medal in wrabf world championship 2023 in checzh republic in 50 meter unlimited class😁
@@amink9436ok mais pas de médaille d'or et résultats irréguliers.Cet argument d'autorité n'est donc pas valable.....
@amink9436 50 meter? Pfffft not impressed. Who wins the 100 meter?.... yep, we all know who sits on the throne. Love them or hate them.
Typical British humour Hahaha
just does not look nice
