Hi Gregor does this have the 1 in 32 twist lr barrel? On the Rti website it says the prophet 2 has a 1 in 16 twist RPB barrel? Really like the look of the p3. Looking for something to shoot light slugs and heavy pellets. Thanks
All new RTI guns in .22 and .25 cal have RPB barrel with fast twist (close to 1/16") and they are designed to be used for slugs as well as pellets. RTI was offering the .22 cal 1/32 barrel barrel that was designed specifically for pellets (and is till this day in my opinion one of the best barrels for shooting pellets at high velocities), but I don't think they are anymore because of lack of interest. Everyone wants to shoot slugs now :). That barrel was called 5,5 long range (had engraved 5,5LR). RPB is just as accurate with pellet as it was 5,5LR, you just need to be careful not to have too high velocity (typically under 900 fps but it depends on the pellet). The 5,5LR can hand 100 + yards MOA accuracy with JSB Monster redesigns at 1050 fps!
Thanks Gregor. Do you think the p3 is more efficient than the original prophet with the steamer valve. The prophet one in some reviews gave 90 shots over 50ft lb. Will the assisted valve do more? Thanks

With RPB barrel, I would use slightly lower velocities with redesigns for competition, somewhere around 950 fps. At 1000 fps, they might start to spiral at longer ranges. If you want 1000 + fps accuracy with redesigns, you would need RTI long range barrel (LR 5.5)...
thanks Gregor. Some excellent improvements on the P3, credit to RTI. Constant development. Hopefully some of the upgrades will be able to fit the P2. Especially the cheek rest and the rail. My income won't stretch to a new Prophet 3 years in a row 😢😅. One can dream and lust though.😂 The additional machine work on the rpb barrel now makes sense. Another puzzle sorted 👍.
Depends on the caliber, .22 I would go with JSB monster redesigned and slug about 25 grain .218 size, for .25 JSB Kind Heavy and slug about 35 grain in .250 size.
Standard twist for airguns is about 1/17" (+-). That is a relative fast twist for pellets. The LR barrel has 1/32" twist. This twist is excellent for pellets (you can shoot pellets up to or even over 1000 fps and still retain pellet stability) but it is not good for slugs... Since there is all the rage about slugs now, they had to move to something that shoots both well even it it means that it shoot both slightly worse than a dedicated barrel would. This resulted in our development (RTI and I) of the RPB barrel. This barrel will shoot pellets just as accurately, but you cannot shoot them at that high velocity (if you still want accuracy)... You can check my other videos for more in depth explanation.
Hello Gregor Can you tell me About rear power wheel. How to set it up correctly. Is it same like hammer adjustable on prophet 1. Do you have any video on this. Keep up good work
Pressure assisted valves are different. I have explained this in the video for P2, basically, you adjust the power only by pressure. The hammer spring need just to be adjusted to high enough tension to be able to open the valve at the highest pressure you intend to use. For lower pressures, you can leave the hammer spring tension as it is.
What about weight, is it lighter than the P2 and if so, what's the weight? It looks a tad leaner than the P2. Not sure if I like the extra height on the scope rail. I think I'd prefer the P2 scope rail because it's closer to the barrel and still has enough MOA for my needs.
I don't have the exact weight of it but it is probably exactly the same as P2. Regarding scope height, I am kind of on your side. I do like the adjustability although the fixed 20 MOA was already great and I don't like high scopes, although they are quite often preferred with long range shooters...
There is no point for additional plenum on P-3 as it already has more than enough volume for all calibres. Maybe if they release 9mm but even with 9mm, I got about 900 fps with JSB pellets.
Hi Gregor, sorry to bother you but I have a question about the p3. I bought a p3. I don't know if this is normal but I noticed the following. for example: if I set the pressure regulator to 100 bar, then fill the tank to 300, I can notice that the exit speed of the projectile is never constant. As the tank empties, the velocity of the projectile drops. at 300 bar I will have 289 mts, at 250 I will have 270 mts, at 150 I will have 260 mts. this prevents me from having consistency in my shots, especially in benchrest. I mounted the 2 plenum upgrade on my p3. could they be the cause? or do you think everything is normal?to have more consistency I am forced to connect an additional cylinder to the rifle, which keeps the pressure always constant. What you think?
The plenum should not be the reason for this. Does you regulator operate correctly? Is the regulated pressure the same when you fill your bottle to 300 bars and when it is at 200 bars?
@@gregorkamensek3923 the regulated pressure of the regulator is always stable and constant but the speed of the pellet in some stages is inconsistent. as I could see, the consistency is better from 210 to 190 bar of charge. Hi. My first guess would be that you have the hammer spring tension set too low. Try to increase it for about 2 revolutions. Also, keep track of the regulator pressure. If this happens because of too low hammer spring tension, then it is highly likely that the pressure when that happens is slightly higher than with other shots that are the correct speed.

what's the minimum needed psi per shot ? i cant get a straight answer from anyone regarding the actual psi work , i personally only use 70 - 80psi to get 400fps arrows from my homemade 10mm smooth bore air rifle...👍🏻
The reason why you don't get a straight answer is because no one is using the gun with such low pressure, it is not designed for it. Manufacturer states that it operates from 80 to 180 bars I believe. That is the operational pressure where the regulator works best. It is also the pressure where the valve and all the forces in the firing cycle are correctly balanced.

@Gregor, Thanks for these awesome videos you changed my mind and now i'm in the hunt to buy one! 😁 Please could you tell me what is the low possible working pressure and the highest? with their new regulator, ao the gun shoots fine and no Valve lock! Thanka in advance buddy... great work! 👍
Thanks. Reg. goes from 80 to 180 bars. You might be able to stretch it a bit but I would stick to these limits.
What happened to Part 2?
I have excuses, but they are just excuses. The gun works excellent for me, regarding accuracy, it is the same as P2 as it uses the same RPB barrel... I will get to it eventually :(
what's the minimum needed psi per shot ? i cant get a straight answer from anyone regarding the actual psi work , i personally only use 70 - 80psi to get 400fps arrows from my homemade 10mm smooth bore air rifle...👍🏻

Thanks for replying m8 👍🏻
Iv got my p3 compact performance in the uk running 11.5ftlb in .22 on 105bar. But im pretty sure iv got restrictors in which is why reg is a tad high in my opinion. But it shoots very good 😀
Great review Gregor. Have you completed Part 2 yet?
I decided that I will only make a video about disassembly and valve operation as the rifle is basically the same in terms of operation, power and accuracy as Prophet 2...
Where is the bleed screw on the P3
When you remove the but pad rubber, you will see it under the hammer adjustment wheel.
Don't know, you will have to ask RTI...
We need this gun in sub 12 for uk immediately👍
Good job putting this video together. Very useful. Thanks for your work
Thanks :)
Gracias Gregor tengo una de las primeras P2 estoy muy dolido con el resultado, el señor Rok me gustaria que me ayudase creo que deberia hacer algo por los que sufrimos el problema desde el primer momento, un saludo.
Hi. I would suggest that you contact RTI directly about the problem you are having. I am sure they will help you...
when will Part 2 come out?
I am wokring on a valve operation video now... so I don't know. I assume you are interested in accuracy? The accuracy will be exactly the same as P2 as the barrel is the same.
I'm having some air escape from between the buttpad and body at the top of butt pad into my ear. Also a ping
Check the o-ring on the pellet pusher and the barrel, These are the most likely reasons for what you described.
@gregorkamensek3923 thank you. I've got replacements for the pellet pusher arriving today. It looked dry with smalls cracks but no visible damage. Hopefully that's all it needs.
how about a tuning guide for the prophet 3?
Yeah, some day, cannot promise when... :(
What barrel is the P3 using , and what calibers with what barrels?
The barrel remained the same as on P2
Will this be available in sub 12 ft pounds for the guys in the uk!
I confident that it will be.
What bi-pod are you using here?
(Great video!)
Thanks. I am using Accu-tac bipod.
When is the part two my friend ?
Not sure exactly, first I intend to make a video about valve operation...
@@gregorkamensek3923 I really look forward to it buddy 👍
Nice video! What bipod is that?
it is Accu-Tac
@@gregorkamensek3923 thank you
Hi Can this rifle shoot 20grn in 177 caliber?
I haven't tried it yet, but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't. It definitely has enough power.
I want to buy a rifle, but whether FX or RTI.? RTI is reliable? 177 k
@@ruslankuschnir2141 Hard question to answer. Any and every airgun has potential to have problems. In my experience, RTI is reliable. I cannot compare them simply because I am not using FX.
Is that same barrel as prophet 2?
Yes
How much is the price
The MSRP is 1.399,00 €, but you should check with local retailer: www.rtiarms.eu/retailers
Gregor...do these barrels have polygonal rifling?
No, these are custom barrels made by LW for RTI called RPB (RTI proprietary barrel) with conventional rifling.
Hi Gregor, I wait for a video test and a video where you disassemble the P3
Coming.
@@gregorkamensek3923 Hi Gregor,
do we have to wait much longer for the new video?? Come on, I'm super super curious!
@@metiu5239 I don't know when I will be able to make it. If you are interested in power, accuracy and efficiency, I can say that those things are absolutely the same as on P2, so you can check out those videos. Next video with P-3 will be about the valve operation...
Hi Gregor,
I'm not interested at the power, but I would like to know the consistency of the P-3; moreover I would like you to explain in detail how the balanced valve works.
Thank you
@@metiu5239 You will get these answers... Sorry if it takes so long for me to finish testing and make videos...
Hi Gregor, Great review. Any idea of a release date? Thanks, keep up the great work!
Hi. Yes, they will start shipping in April. Thanks :)
Gregor, that weight bar will bend forever if you leave those weights on it. Anyway, I love your videos. Thank you.
I was think Gregor must be strong to lift those weights. I would start with just the small ones on the ends...
🤣😂
theres like 25kg on it i have the same weights 😂
@@TheCraigy83 No, it is exactly 92kg. Bar 12kg, 2x15kg, 4x10kg, 2x5kg as I see. 😊
@@TheCraigy83 Yeh, I made a mistake last time, it is total of 50 kg... 2x10kg + 4x5kg + 2x2,5kg + 5kg (bar). But the reason why it is bent is because the bar is made of 3 parts and is not a perfect fit on its joints. It also flexes a bit.
Hi Gregor, thanks for your excellent videos.
I have owned a Prophet Performance 1 for 2 years. I am very satisfied with it, it is an extremely reliable and robust weapon. I did not buy the version 2, because I found that the improvements were not sufficient .... I am happy to discover the modifications on the version 3. It is nevertheless regrettable that RTI does not propse a 100% slugs gun in 600 and 700mm ... maybe in the furur ? I was thinking of buying a Panthera because I want to shoot slugs between 150m and 250m...
I'm looking forward to your next videos of this Prophet 3 shooting before I decide ...
When will the Prophet 3 be available for sale ?
P-3 will be out in April 23. 700mm slug gun is also coming :)
@@gregorkamensek3923 Thanks Gregor . Very good news, so I will wait for the 700mm slug gun . I hope you will have time to present it in one of your videos...Keep up the good work ....
@@ragotphilippeh6496 Of course... I am waiting for it as eagerly as you are :)
rti is extraordinary
Yp
RTI ARMS Prophet 2 - that's leaking joke, not airgun. Never again RTI!
the rifle is awsome but price wise in my country Saudi Arabia it's same as FX, urgan, Vulcan. so why i pay this much of money while i can get high end rifle. 1870 USD. nah
great, thinking of as 4,5mm but it is so expensive here...
Hello MR l one air gun p3 have vLve okey no
p3 the worst garbage I bought, bad trip valve, hammer breaks, bad pressure regulator, bad sidelever, rti must change all the engineering if you want to continue selling because they are a disaster
great video but keep waving the gun around back and forward very off putting for a good video stop waving the gun around be a bit more steady would be greatest video then
Thanks for the tip.
Hello Gregor, I have a few questions about Huben K1. What is your email so that I can write it to you?
