    ..suddenly the bike looked right!!..as always a good job layed into this, Dino..a pleasure to watch!.. my opinion is that you should keep that seat..then you're be able to do some longer journeys at it?!.. and it looks so 70's as well.. :) ..-beautiful bike there Dino!

    Hey Dino, awesome build as always. One thing to watch on this model CB is starting and running the bike on the side stand, as it will cause oil starvation to the head. The oil level falls below the pick up when bike is leant over to the left. The CJ360 and late model CB360's had an upgraded oil pick up to address this issue (there was a recall put out by Honda also) and it's well worth sourcing one if you can. Realise you will no doubt modify the side stand to bring her a little more upright, but just thought I'd mention that you always want to start and warm these 360's up while the bike is completely upright to avoid frying the cam journals. 👍 I can send you info on the recall and new part number if interested.
    Keep on hackin 👌

    Great stuff as always Dean, you might want to check the rear shocks, when you bounce up and down on the seat, there is zero movement on the shocks/swing arm, just tyre bounce. Keep up the good work buddy, we love it :)

      Yeah they're set at full preload. I took note of the same thing when editing the video. Could stand to take em down three clicks.

    You sure that swingarm is symmetrical? A lot of the honda swingarms from that era are offset. You may be off center now. Looks off center with the neck around 24:30.

    Is the garage floor level?

    • @DeanSegovis
      @DeanSegovis 6 років тому

      Probably not if it was poured properly. Most have a slight slope of perhaps 1 degree towards the door for drainage. Not enough to worry about when checking rake/trail though. :)

  • @truantray

    Looks like you just need shallower sprocket bolts and nuts. Those look quite over engineered.

    • @SeanBZA
      @SeanBZA 6 років тому

      Just get some 10.8 capscrews with a shoulder, and use them for the rear sprocket. That will give you the shoulder you need, or just use some sleeves to fill up the gap in the sprocket. No lock washers needed, just use red high temperature threadlock and you will not have issues with the bolts coming loose. Capscrews or even better get some torx head socket screws or bolts, as they are capable of getting a lot more tightening torque, and the larger bit needed is going to be a lot more capable than the small 5mm one you need for the button head, there you will get a 6mm head. Good bolts to get is to go to Volkswagen and get the inner CV joint Torx bolts for a VW Rabbit (1980 - 2006 model years, basically any old VW Rabbit/golf Mk1,2 or 3 that has a 4 bolt inner CV joint) as those are M8, and long enough, plus they are more than capable of handling the Cb3260 torque. Just get the bit to tighten them as well if you do not have it already.

    • @xXBocephusXx

      Metric makes much more sense than standard.

    • @DeanSegovis
      @DeanSegovis 6 років тому +3

      Yes that, and when you're searching for parts it's best to use the same measurement system as the manufacturer. Plus I just like Metric better.
