James was so cool during this time period. This Seattle performance of Nothing Else Matters was what really got me into Metallica. I already liked them, and had a couple of their albums, but seeing them play live like this got me deeply hooked, and it's been that way ever since. James' voice was phenomenal at this point in time, and he still had a bad-ass attitude on stage. I love how he stands up and kicks the chair across the stage for the solo.
