Can confirm. I live about half a mile from one in Arizona. Doesn't matter what time I drive past them, if they're open, they're busy. Nobody else in that business can compete on a per store basis.
When I worked in an LA hotel, it was the landmark I was asked most about. I once advised a dad to order his "animal style" to impress his teenage daughter when they went. He came back and told me he loved it and daughter was impressed at his "cool"😅
I'm failing to see what's so "impressive" to a teenage girl about her dad adding spread, pickles and grilled onions to a cheeseburger at a fast food restaurant but I mean, ok, cool?
@@paulromsky9527 last time I went to Whatburger, they forgot my food after bagging it and waited 15 mins til they realized it was just sitting there. Others who came in after me were walking away with food so it was a little suspect. :) Better food AND Service at In N Out Burger!!
@@videoflukeoh yeah? Come to Canada where you have to drive 2000 miles and wait four months to see the span of weather Californians can enjoy in a day. And like most of our food the burgers here are pretty bland.
My favorite burger. Hands down. I live in LA and thank GOD they are here! It’s interesting to know the history behind it. Didn’t know about the tragedies with the two sons. Thanks for this video. 👍
i was one of the people who waited 16 hours in line when they first opened in Aurora Colorado. I dont regret it at all 😂. Thankfully the wait times are WAYY DOWN
In-n-Out is about the only thing I miss about SOCAL. I'm sure it will eventually make its way here, like Chick-fil-A and Sonic, albeit at a glacial pace, but the last time we got hit by a glacier it came from up north and did not leave us any poutine. At the rate they're going we should see the first location here sometime by the time Mars gets its first Tesla.
Culver's is an In 'N' Out wannabe, but their menu us far too complex and busy with all kinds of unnecessary, extraneous bullshit they don't need. Not only that, their prices soar at 40,000' above Mt. Everest.
0:08 I sent an email letter to Jim Pillen (the governor of Nebraska) requesting that the state of Nebraska (AKA The Beef State) should bring in In-N-Out Burger. He sent back a letter the next day saying that he thought it would be a great idea if the circumstances were right.
I can't help but agree with him. If In-n-Out is going to be ferociously anti-health-and-safety, I don't think it's the kind of restaurant that people should eat at. I'm not fond of overly-germy restaurant locations.
In n out burger has a certain vibe, I don’t really think they would be interested in opening up in the Midwest or South. It’s kind of a western / California / surf vibe. They rarely even have restaurants in locations in the west where they can’t grow the iconic crossing california fan palm trees out front. The west coast is their brand
@@KayentaRojo They are already set to put one in Nashville, Tennessee. If they are set to put one in Nashville, Tennessee, it isn't hard to imagine they will try in "The Beef State" AKA Nebraska.
Prior to arriving at the venue for Super Bowl XLII, Tom Coughlin, NYG head coach, was videotaped eating a Double Double Burger in front of the tour bus full of his players and staff. They absolutely loved seeing their coach in a more relaxed and greasy manner than they were accustomed to. They could see he was at ease, which mentally set the players at ease as well. Is it possible that “In N Out Burger” helped the New York Giants win over the perfect New England Patriots? I do not believe in this being a coincidence!
I still say that wasn't a catch and Manning was "in the grasp" by the rules then. In-N-Out did NOT help the Giants win....that's my story and I'm sticking with it. - Like Tom Brady, I'm a Patriot for life!! LOL Seriously....funny story! Of course that Double Double burger helped. Excuse me now while I go enjoy the local In-N-Out burger. Double Double no tomato, extra crispy fries and a sweet tea. Some assembly required on the sweet tea.
His glory days, fer sure. A few years later he 'jumped the shark' at frigid Soldier Field in a meaningless January game, sporting vaseline smeared over his whole bright-red face, trying to ward off the elements. Every Bear fan, and probably more than a few Giant fans remember it, and from time to time you hear it referenced, lol.
In and Out is simple and amazing!!! They don't need to add 100 things to the menu following fads like McD's and Carls Jr, they just put out an amazing product, don't get bullied by politics and always have a huge line to get to those savory burgers. Great video!!!
We do have a few Culver's now in few suburbs of Houston. I made a drive to one last week. Double cheese burger. Damn good! The fries were decent too; crinkle cut. Take THAT In and Out.
crinkle cut fries were invented specifically for fast food/quick preparation french fries of uniform qulaity and crispness. Never been bettered. Those "steak fries," etc they've started to serve are god awful. Too long to prepare and get them right. I learned that 50 years ago while working in a deli. @@kevingray8616
I remember an article claiming the lack of expansion was because the beef for the burgers was never frozen. So they controlled the freshness of the beef.
Yeah, with the exception of the upcoming Tennessee locations, they're only in states that are within driving distance of the west coast. EDIT: OK, apparently they're in East Texas. It's just about making distribution centers.
They only expand if they have a distribution center within 300 miles. So maybe Tennessee will have several pop up to justify building a D.C. out there? It’s to keep everything as fresh as possible
@@ACoolKidsProduction Close, but it’s not within a single day’s drive of the west coast. The currently existing Texas locations are more than a day’s drive from the west coast. It’s they won’t be more than a day’s drive from their distribution centers, which distribution centers source their perishables (beef, veggies) from local suppliers. So, the reason for the slow eastern expansion is they need to build new distribution centers and arrange new local suppliers as they move farther north and farther east.
@@tempestfury8324 There is a big difference in being never frozen and being never frozen but under your control at all times. Inn-n-Out sources their own products and can strictly control the quality. Wendy's will buy from what ever distributor is locally available with the lowest prices.

I tried in and out when I visited Cali and it was pretty good! Another place I liked (in texas and New Mexico) was raising canes, would be good to see their backstory! I’m from NC so cookout or bonjangles would be awesome to see too!! ❤
Cook Out is so amazing, and such a great deal! Also, I'm lucky to have had my "young enough to go out and drink" years in Cook Out territory. Best after-bar food you can imagine!
Growing up in Southern Calif 1963-1998 I'm very familiar with In&Out plus a huge fan!! When I moved to the Denver area in 96 I called In&Outs Corp Office and asked about selling me a franchise in the Denver area knowing it would be hugely popular. I was told at that time they weren't in COLO because they couldn't guarantee their specific products could be shipped there and keep fresh enough. FFWD 20 Years and they opened one up near me in the Denver area and the place was packed solid, open to close!! This location had so much traffic that it generated the City had to use The Police Dept to control traffic in about a mile in every direction!!! This went on for 7-8 weeks, but did start to slow down so they were only packed from 10am-1pm and 4pm-7pm. The place is a gold mine for whomever received the franchise license, unfortunately it wasn't me!! Jeez, I even bought a 50th Anniversary Shirt while visiting my folks in Calif back in the day, I'm that big of a fan. Oh well... ;) My Fav, The Classic, Dbl, Dbl with grilled, reg fries and a Pepsi/Coke. Ohhh Yeah!!!🍔🍟🥤😋🤤
@@chefscorner7063 In 'N' Out won't franchise for two reasons: 1. Absent a 2nd distribution center, they could only guarantee consistent quality to their stores from a single distribution point. Trucks can only drive so far before food is no longer fresh. That was overcome when they successfully opened a 2nd distribution center in Dallas, Texas. 2. Every great product that was ever franchised suffered loss of quality, including KFC, Haggen-Dazs, Taco Bell, Dominoes Pizza, Famous Amos, Pizza Hut, Krispy-Kreme and countless others. This is why in 'N' Out's growth has been slow but steady. They will eventually overtake McSpensives, Booger Sting, Barf In The Box, Karl's Junker, Kuntfucky Fried Crap, Taco Hell and Wimpy's, ALL of which have massive advertising budgets. In 'N' Out is the only junk food chain with no need for an advertising budget. Their business model is one that should be followed by everyone going into business. The only other successful chain I've seen that won't franchise is WinCo Foods, an employee-owned grocery chain headquartered in Boise, Idaho. Like In 'N' Out, their growth is slow but steady.
I grew up in L.A. I now live in Montana. Growing up, I loved In-N-Out Burger. I even had a job for a while just down the street from the original In-N-Out Burger location in Baldwin Park. My wife, who was born and raised in China, also loves In-N-Out Burger.
@1:15 I don't think you know how square footage works. "10 square feet" is like the size of a bath tub. If you mean a 10x10 foot area that = 100 square feet.
"Burger stand?" It's a cow-corral line of cars that you slog through for 15-30 minutes to get a fairly decent burger. Maybe it's because I've lived in California for most of my life, but I just don't see the big deal. It's good but not amazing and I can think of several burger places that are as good if not better and have vastly lower wait times. The few things I will credit In-N-Out for is making everything fresh, paying their employees well, and for being relatively cheap.
I’ve always heard about in-n-out like it’s some sort of mythical place far far away. I know some people that have ate there, and they tell me their tales of the double double animal style burgers or the animal style fries. Someday I’ll have in-n-out to eat….someday….
It's just a basic hamburger with extra patties, thousand island dressing, cheese, and onions. It's really nothing special. Tasty, but like, it's still just a hamburger you can make at home.
The hype kind’ve ruins it tbh, I grew up with them and didn’t realize it was a “thing” until around 2010. It’s good food but when people hype it up too much it sets expectations too high which often leaves people let down when they do try it. Just enjoy it like you would a chick-fil-a or something
@@mr.e2136 No, you can tweak it at home. You'll just get what they have instead. If you start with what they have and modify it to your liking, it will be better by definition. Maybe I like a little more onions and a little less sauce. It's the reason I don't eat out anymore. It's not bad, it's just not EXACTLY what I want. For that I have to do it at home.
I moved to LA a few years ago and was excited to try it. Very disappointed. Just a regular fast food burger than you have to fight crowds and wait 20 minutes for.
Whataburger, Sonic, Culvers, Carls Jr, Dairy Queen, Original Superburgers #2-7 ( Original SoCal location is out of business). Are all better than In/Out skivvy skidmark burgers.
The Simpsons also took a shot at Arby's in the 90s and it was hilarious. The episode where their school bus plunges into a river and washes up on an island and the kids are stranded and hungry and one of the kids says "I'm so hungry I could eat at Arby's" still makes me laugh 😂😅
Thanks for the video. I'm a huge In-And-Out fan and live 2 miles from one and 3 miles from another. They are doing it right. Now I want a double double protein style. Back in the '80s the restaurants used to give out bumper stickers. People would cut the stickers to say In-And-Out urge instead of In-And-Out Burger. I saw lots of these on cars at the time and would giggle at my immature humor.
Just so you know...the original sticker looked like this IN-N-OUT BURGER It could be modified by clipping off two letters.... IN-N-OUT URGE What happened? Well, Rich Snyder was running things at the time, and he was a very religious man. The sticker was quickly modified to show only the company logo and a picture of a burger!
I drive Uber in Phoenix, mainly airport pick ups. I can't tell you how many people get excited to see we have in and out. They usually ask how it us but as a native LA resident I just don't see the hype, don't get me wrong it's good but not pedestal level people put it on.
I feel sorry for those that have never tried In-N-Out. Look, it's not the end of the world but it's damned good! The food is tasty, the prices are great, the service is exceptional, and the staff is extremely friendly. Oh those modified bumper stickers certainly give me that In-N-Out 'URGE'! 😃
I have to agree with the naysayers. In-N-Out is highly overrated. The burgers are good, but the fries are horrible. Tons of chains I would put ahead of In-N-Out. Apollo Burger, Crown Burger, Five Guys, JCW's, McDonalds, Carl's Jr. ... even Dairy Queen and Del Taco have burgers that are at least as good as In-N-Out's and they all have far superior fries.
@@JedForge : Don't know about some you mentioned but McDonald's??? No way. But I do love the Double Del. Del Taco is so much better than Taco Bell it's ridiculous. $3.95 for a Double Double is a great price here in crazy California. But you're right their fries are horrible.
@@tempestfury8324 What can I say? I've been a Big Mac-aholic my whole life and they still have some of the best fries (when not overcooked). Del Taco does indeed have great stuff and I actually like their fries better than most other places. They never overcook them.

They are not coming to the Midwest anytime soon. I told them about a property that was available nearby. It was a burger place, but closed down. After 4 months, they told me it was too far out of their preferred territory. Bummer for us. I need to try an In n Out. Even if only once. I am working on my own version of a double/double.Once perfected, the Double/Double Club will be open on weekends only. Invitation only to. It will only sit 8 - 10 people at a time. Residential patios don't seat many.
I grew up in Riverside and went to college in Pomona between 1969 and 1973. There was a location in Pomona so I was familiar with the brand at the time. There were several routes I could take between home and school, and many times I went through Corona. I would swear that the In-n-Out dining room location on Auto Center Drive was built in 1972, a full 7 years earlier than stated in all the history books.
You're missing out by not allowing yourself to try other things. Obviously don't eat McDonald's every day or something but the spice of life is variety.
@@SECONDQUEST I'm not missing out. I do enjoy eating out, just not fast food. I prefer good restaurants with actual high quality food. As an East Coaster who tried all of them, out of the 3 well known regionals (Whataburger,IN-N-OUT, and Culver’s), I think Culver’s is probably the best.
culvers is bomb af but its twice as expensive as in n out. I live in Denver. We have all of them 😂. I eat in n out way more often than any other drive thru... I think in n out is the Go To for me personally... They are always cheap and consistent. The location by me is always packed with 30+ cars in the drive thru but i havent waited more than 40 minutes ever. They are quick and consistent thats why i love them.
A remarkable aspect about In N Out is with all the celeb endorsements the fast-food place gets for free. Over the years many prominent and high-profile people in entertainment, motorsports, and even in TV news, will joyfully name-drop In N Out as a favorite place for a burger. A most memorable time was when Conan O'Brien was leaving his late night NBC show, in NYC, to be the new host of The Tonight Show in Burbank, California. NBC news anchor Brian Williams was O'Brien's guest one night, where Conan was cajoling Williams to move out to LA with him; with Conan informing Williams that the In N Out restaurants were out there. Williams responded, saying that In N Out, next to LAX, was a favorite place to eat, as he would devour a couple of their burgers prior to catching his flight to NYC. I was truly dumbstruck that here was a popular late night talk show, with a nationwide audience, where (at the time) a most prominent TV news anchor was promoting the In N Out restaurant chain. Places like McDonald's or Burger King don't get that kind of positive plugs on national TV for free.
Their burgers and shakes are fantastic. The fries are substandard though. You have to do animal style or roadkill to make em edible. Still, their food tastes so good for the price. Burger King and McDonald's costs more but tastes so much worse.
I like their fries, but i would describe it as a unique style that I had never seen anywhere else meaning that it is not unusual for people who aren't used to it to not like it.
Their fries are never frozen and they are fresh cut from potatoes. They are also fried in vegetable oil not beef lard. What might you suggest to make them better?
You're just doing it wrong. Pro tip: eat the fires FIRST. Once they are trayed (they don't bag them) they have about 7 minute life cycle. Its the fresh veg oil plus fresh cut that makes them unique but they do not last long once cooked. Soon as they start to cool, you're screwed.
I never understood the hype around In-n-Out. I've had it before, and it's good. But I never got why everybody I've met from the west coast says you have to have it.
When I tried it about 15 years ago, I wasn't impressed. It wasn't bad. It was just okay. It's a step up from McDonald's, but not as good as a lot of other burger chains.
Yeah, it's good, but not spectacular. That said, it's a deal for the price. Comparably good burgers, or even better, can be had, but they'll cost much more. The $5.25 double double is the best fast food deal around.
There's one simple reason why some chains are not nationwide -- exclusivity. I mean Portillos Hotdogs are only primarily found in the midwestern US, while IN and Out Burger is primariy in CA and parts of Nevada (mainly Las Vegas area). Same for others like Culvers (also primarily found in IL, WI, MN and IA and perhaps parts of IN near IL). Plus being a bit exclusive I think drives more traffic to your restaurants because people will go especailly if they're traveling because they can't go to the chain when at home because it's not available. And since places like Las Vegas are a tourist hotspot, it works out. I mean every time I visit Las Vegas, I try to go to In and Out Burger at least once while I'm there. I mean it would be nice if IN and Out Burger would make their way to at laest larger cities, like Chicago, NYC, and other major US cities across the US, and they could still stay exclusive to those areas and have the same effect, it's just it would more accessible to people when traveling, because not everyone goes to places like Las Vegas.
Portillios had an IPO and now is a public traded company they have locations outside of Illinois like Florida I predict they will expand to other states to please shareholders
I never heard about In-N-Out for most of my life. When I finally did hear about it, I wanted to try it. Why wouldnt I? Everyone says its the best. I was visiting my family in Texas, where they opened one up. My brother-in-law and I went to try it. Neither of us liked it. The burgers were not good and the fries were terrible. Many years later, I went back to visit and thought I would try it again. Still bad. I have been all over the US and tried all the major and not-so-big burger chains. In-N-Out is definitely at the bottom of that list. I would choose any other burger joint over them.
I adore In-n-Out living in Las Vegas, but it is usually so busy I drive on by. It doesn't matter what day or time, there always seems to be a line. Unlike McDonald's, In-n-Out puts a good char on the meat patties that gives the burger that home grilled taste that is wonderful.
Dunno about the Vegas location but every CA location I've been to, the line always moves fast. A good rule of thumb is a minute or less per car, so if there are 20 cars in line, you're looking at about 15 minutes max. Well worth it.
I was waiting for that precious Big Lebowski reference. Only ate at an In-and-Out one time when I passed through SLC. It was good. I wish there was one in IF.
I still remember when they weren't anywhere but Southern California. There was a last chance In-N-Out heading north towards San Francisco and everyone stopped there heading either direction. I'm happy they are expanding. Their business model is pretty solid so I hope that continues. Also, it's true. If you order your fries soft you will be put on an FBI watchlist and if you order a 4x4 the ambulance is already on standby. so you can order another one later.
I have a related question: I took a vacation to LA in 2003, and we were advised to try one specific chain, but I don't think it was In and Out. The calling card of the chain I visited was....unless you said no....they put chili on everything. Burgers, fries, etc. Does anyone know what chain that is?
Not a giant fast food fan, but every now and then I need to satisfy my inner crave for an In-n-Out Double Double. Best burger in the fast food business.
Luv the "In-n-Out" quality, style and flavor, it's unique to them only. I wish there were one nearby, I'd make sure to visit once a month or more. On the question of who I'd like to see covered by this channel, I can think of Three Burger Shops unique to where they first opened up and have franchised from. I live in the Pacific NorthWest, so you may have covered one or more of these. Two are in Seattle, Kidd Valley and Dicks Drive Up. Kidd Valley is upscale quality Fast Food w/ seating/drive thru and some unique menu items. Their Deep Fried Mushrooms are Delish. They do Fish & Dogs too. Dicks Drive Up is very good quality w/ a limited menu that require you to get out of ur car and order from one of many windows. They are relatively inexpensive and Very Fast at gettin your order up. You'd better know what you want when you get to the window. I think these two are Seattle area only but I'm not sure if either has franchised further out. The Third is Burgerville, first started in Vancouver WA. They are relatively High Quality, always have Unique Seasonal fav's and for the quality, are a pretty good bargain. Their Seasonal Walla Walla Onion Rings are as good as it gets for onion rings. Seasonal Fruit Shakes and Tillamook Cheeseburgers are fav's also. The Alaskan Halibut Fish-n-Chips are spendy buy worth it.

I was born in SoCal, in 1956. In my teens, there were only a few In N Outs. We drove for an hour, to get to the closest one. I could never count how many 3x3s I've had!! Moved to Southern Oregon several years ago. About 5 years ago, they opened an In N Out, in Medford. There are a lot of SoCal transplants here now. So it was an immediate hit!! Awesome for us! One of the things that we all missed most, has come to us. Now, the Oregon lifers are hooked on In N Out!! Drive thru line a block long, just like all of them. So happy for their success, after the tough times. Thanks. In N Out!!! We love ya!! 🍔❤
I remember the early 60s do used to go next-door to produce shop and buy onions, tomatoes and lettuce. It was so good everything was fresh. I’m glad to see him growing keep up the good work and they’re probably shop is right next-door.
Texan here thrilled when In and Out opened Houston area locations. Animal style double doubles are amazing! Fries are mediocre. The lines suck at every location, almost anytime. For that reason alone, Whataburger is still my #1. Whataburger may have a line, but there's one in every commerce area, so it's not so bad! Although I'm a little salty they're "modernizing" since now being Chicago owned.
I was wondering when someone was going to bring up Whataburger being owned by the Chicago firm that bought it. The backlash that resulted when that was announced was crazy.
As a young mom of a vegetarian kid we were ecstatic to see that when we asked them to hold the burger… it wasn’t a big deal to them and a Huge Deal to us! So my Son had his first fast food experience with fries shakes and 2 grilled cheese! We were going camping so that became a cherished memory.
My son is now 40 and is 6’8”. He could have eaten meat anytime while at school or at a friends house or at any of the homes he’s occupied since reaching maturity. It was a good decision for our families health. We are not vegan though.
As long as you're getting enough protein (legumes are a good source), vegetarian diets are usually healthier. Some people just prefer the taste, anyway.
Every cookout I’ve ever been to has handed me a tiny greaseball wrapped in foil. I’ve never heard anyone like their food lol it’s just the only thing open at 2am with a window.
All my life I heard In-N-Out was the best place for burgers. Finally went out west and tried one and was so disappointed. I’ll stick with Cook-Out, Five Guys, heck even Wendy’s
I live in Avondale, Arizona and the very first In-n- Out in the Phoenix area was opened 2 miles way from me 23 years ago and the line at the driver through only stops when they are closed from the first day until present!
@@MrRoda8143Local places are usually the best, for taste and quality. Once these places go down the road of franchising they usually lose both and become like all the others .
My first In n Out was in San Antonio TX. I thought it was pretty good but I also had Whataburger that first time and that was equally good. Both are franchises that have trouble moving North
I have a cousin who worked at an In-N-Out some years ago in the Puente Hills area of L.A. County. During her few years of working there, I received a few of their iconic In-N-Out T-shirts as gifts, of which I still have most of them. (Admittedly, I did gift one to a friend and his wife who were moving out of California and back to their home state of Texas.)
Most restaurants raised prices during pandemic period, but In-n-Out Burger kept the same price. Big thanks to the management and I am keep going to In-n-Out every weekend.
In-N-Out is OK, but far from the best regional chain. I would much rather have a thick burger from Hardee's in the Midwest. And as much as the company claims Carl's Jr and Hardee's are the same, they just aren't. The menus are different, and Hardee's is MUCH better. Maybe do an episode about them?
I've had burgers all over the country. While I was impressed with In N' Out, Portillo's tops any fast food/fast casual chain in my opinion. I actually feel full after one of their single patty burgers. Can't say that about most of these "vapormeat" places.
Portillo’s is great, I love it. But it’s not the same class as In-n-Out, so it’s a bit of an unfair comparison. Portillo’s is fast casual, and charges fast casual prices ($9.79 for a double cheese burger and $16.17 for a combo). Its competitors are places like 5 Guys. In-n-Out is straight up fast food ($4.90 for a double-double, $9.15 for a double-double combo [fyi, no extra charge for animal style]). Its competition are places like McDonalds and Burger King. Comparing In-n-Out to Portillo’s would be like comparing Portillo’s to a burger from a full on restaurant. Different classes of burger, different quality. In-n-Out is so highly regarded because it out classes those in its class. Also, this video fails to mention In-n-Out’s long history (despite recent controversies) of taking care of their employees: high minimum wage, benefits (including paid vacation and 401k match) for all full time employees (and most non-teenager hourly employees are full time), most store managers having elevated through the company from entry level positions, and the average pay for store managers being in the more than $180,000.
@@randompersonontheinternet8790 I don't know if they have anymore OC locations but Slaters was unique. I love the habit as well. When I visit SD, sometimes I'll have hodads but nothing much about it unless it's the special pastrami one.
I tried the burger and do like it but I usually have the hot dogs and beef sandwiches. Although, I will put their spicy chicken sandwich against other fast food I've had thus far.
As soon as my online instructor heard my voice he asked me if I'm from LA. I said yes, and In N Out was all he wanted to talk about! Yes, it's good, but I've had some bad experiences. Raw patties, bad attitudes, long lines, its okay. The secret sauce is easy to make. If you know how to make it, grill onions, and cook a burger, you can have In N Out style burgers at home.
I'm sorry. I've tried many different burgers and many different restaurants, both local and National, and in-and-out still reigns supreme. In-N-Out is just so fresh and delicious, never heavy or greasy, and such delicious sauce and toppings. The fries have had a lot of criticism but I think they're just right, like the burgers never too greasy, just crispy, a little salty and delicious!

Culver's is crap compared to what they once were.

Arizona does have a few In-n-Out Burgers themselves. Certainly one a few miles away from the Cardinals' stadium. I can believe it.

In and Out is simple and amazing!!! They don't need to add 100 things to the menu following fads like McD's and Carls Jr, they just put out an amazing product, don't get bullied by politics and always have a huge line to get to those savory burgers. Great video!!!

Well Wendy's has never frozen their hamburger and they've been nationwide for decades.

Oh well... ;)

@@Surfcityham That was never a reason they gave me. Don't know why they wouldn't. Thanks for letting me know I guess. :(
In 'N' Out doesn't franchise and never will. It's how they keep it original.
@@chefscorner7063 In 'N' Out won't franchise for two reasons:
Like In 'N' Out, their growth is slow but steady.

culvers is bomb af but its twice as expensive as in n out.
@@BradThePitts season em
Nope fries are good as is go fish.
0:16 That last time I went to In-N-Out Burger I had the Double Double Cheeseburger and Animal Style French Fries.
I never understood the hype around In-n-Out. I've had it before, and it's good. But I never got why everybody I've met from the west coast says you have to have it.
Just because it's a regional train that the rest of the country "doesn't know about."
Good because it's smothered in salt. not a fan.
I'm a burger lover and it's too plain to my liking.
Mouth-watering... gotta get it, right now!
I tried in & out in Vegas last year and I think Culver's knocks them outta the park.

I'd love to hear about Five Guys Burgers and Fries!
The happiest day for me was when innout expanded to Colorado
I have a related question: I took a vacation to LA in 2003, and we were advised to try one specific chain, but I don't think it was In and Out. The calling card of the chain I visited was....unless you said no....they put chili on everything. Burgers, fries, etc. Does anyone know what chain that is?
Yes, it’s Carneys on Sunset Blvd and it’s overrated.
@@gjd424 that must be why I haven't remembered the name of the chain.....lol
It could be also Tommy's original
@@deadhomer8468 that actually sounds familiar, but I'm still going with the idea that it wasn't memorable enough to remember....lol
Sounds like Tommy's.

Dicks in Spokane forever
1:47 - Y'all said in your video for Jack in the Box they had the first two way speaker system. Which is it? :)
Why one should live in Dallas, where you get Whataburger and In-n-Out (and Five Guys, if you feel like slumming, I guess)
Recently opening the first restaurant in Meridian Idaho, people were waiting for up to eight hours in the drive thru line to get a bite of in n out burgers!
I love that line...
Took over the big spatula!
Makes me think of Spongebob and Neptune
I like your witty zingers, sir!
Why is your kid a vegetarian??
My son is now 40 and is 6’8”. He could have eaten meat anytime while at school or at a friends house or at any of the homes he’s occupied since reaching maturity. It was a good decision for our families health. We are not vegan though.
As long as you're getting enough protein (legumes are a good source), vegetarian diets are usually healthier. Some people just prefer the taste, anyway.
@@codacraft If he's 6'8" as an adult I don't think there's any issue about him getting enough protein...
I miss In-n-Out burgers....
Wish they'd come to Florida --- But understand the reasoning behind their decisions.
You're right! Cook-Out should be national! 😅
@@ThePresidentsNurse Kinda, more variety but the burgers are smaller though
Cook out doesn't hold a candle to in n out
Every cookout I’ve ever been to has handed me a tiny greaseball wrapped in foil.
@@Azazel-ug4ltyou’re allowed to be wrong 😂
I live in Avondale, Arizona and the very first In-n- Out in the Phoenix area was opened 2 miles way from me 23 years ago and the line at the driver through only stops when they are closed from the first day until present!
I gotta admit...the video made me crave for their burger
We're finally getting one in Idaho.
The excitement is palpable.
Ahhh yes In n out. The Avatar of the burger world. So amazingly hyped up that when you try it you are significantly let down.
lol, so what do you suggest then?
@@MrRoda8143Local places are usually the best, for taste and quality. Once these places go down the road of franchising they usually lose both and become like all the others .
@@donaldpiper9763 So true. I've eaten at some great local spots, and they always taste better than the franchise ones
I agree.. The Burgers are Garbage. At least the Fries are above Average. Just like Raising Canes.. Average food, but served with exceptions add ons.
You’re the best of the best! Don’t ever change a thing despite the political pressure! In n Out will always be #1!
In and out is the food equivalent of “never meet your hero’s”
Why?
@@jakehess27 The heads are POS conservatives with 15th-century beliefs, that's why.
@@jakehess27 Maximum hype, incredibly underwhelming.
I’m totally fine with getting a double double combo once a year when I visit CA, and when I lived there I barely went
heroes*
My first In n Out was in San Antonio TX. I thought it was pretty good but I also had Whataburger that first time and that was equally good. Both are franchises that have trouble moving North
"Squatta-burger?" Yecch. Lived in SA once; ever cared for it.
Idk Hardee's in Minnesota is horrible. They use to be amazing but we're talking late 90's. It probably depends on the location ect.
There's no comparison, you could've at least sed White Castle but Hardee's really!?
Love In-n-Out! Best burgers in the USA. God bless them.
@@randompersonontheinternet8790the habit has gone down hill so much. I don’t know why. The quality is bad now
@@double_joseph327The Habit was bought up by Yum(owner of i.e. KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut), which is probably why it slipped in quality.
I love my native California and our laid back culture and food. ☝🏻🇺🇸
Probably because it's not the best. To keep the illusion of being so good they have to keep it more exclusive.
My favourite! I always eat at In N Out whenever I’m somewhere there is one.
I had it for the first time back in June and I have to say I wasn’t impressed. I love a fast food burger. I’m from East Tennessee and we have Pal’s. Will forever be the best burger I’ve had, fast food or not.
yup. same experience. In-n-out is an s-tier McDonalds burger. with undercooked fries.. it was oversold from all the hype.
It used to be the best but like everything since Covid it's gone far downhill:(
Well, you really should try Culver's. It's dang good.
@@davidtinney9463 Not surprised. Anti-masker pride will ruin businesses quickly. If anything, I don't like the idea of the company *enforcing* mouth-breathing onto a customer's food. Makes no sense. 😂 Their employees should get the right to wear a mask at the very least...
They're opening a new in and out less than a mile from my house. I couldn't be happier.
Judging by the title, I thought it was gonna be about Whataburger.
Dude whataburger is trash! Lmao
Thank you Lindsey for expanding to Oregon. Please put in a location in Myrtle Creek. I know the perfect spot.
