Hey Taz, been following you for many years now, just wanted to say that you are looking so so well. Your hair is also looking the most healthy I’ve seen it. I hope this doesn’t come across as rude, I genuinely think you are looking amazing and just wanted to pay you a compliment
omg taz the tuna-mayo seaweed thing you made was basically gimbap!! it's like a korean take on sushi; highly recommend you trying different types of gimbap :) (it's also called kimbap)
The funny thing is she actually has the seaweed the correct way up. The odds were in her favour. You put the rice on the rough side so the shiny side is on the outside.
The science on taste and scent is actually pretty interesting. Most food we buy, like yogurts, beverages or candies, have a scent based taste. Usually they just add a less than 1 to 5% of that flavour concentrate, and the rest of the flavour is done by its scent. Fruity flavour drinks are a great example, if you read the ingredients on most of those, it's mostly apple, carrot or lemon juice concentrates plus some whatever scent to create the desired flavour. Yogurts are the simpler form. A "common regular basic white supermarket yogurt" inside the same brand, its all the same exact thing, they just add different scents to create different flavored yogurts. Thats why usually food tastes blander when your nose is stuffed. You can't activate as many receptors of scent, so the food can only give its flavour mostly by its taste. If you think about it, you all this time being talking about scent based flavours, whenever you taste something, because you smell it first, and that gives you a clue about the spicy, or sweetness or whatever taste it can have. We use it all the time. Something can be sweet, but there's sugar sweet, floral sweet, chocolaty sweety, artificial sweet, fruity sweet. Its all the same taste with different tones, with different scents.
One of my go-to recipes is to throw a huge amount of baby spinach in a small frying pan (like overfilling an 8" pan), cook it down, and while that's cooking, crack three eggs into a bowl and stir them up, dice half an avocado and throw that in, then when the spinach is done, drain off the excess water, add the egg and avocado mixture, add salt and pepper to taste while you scramble it all, and then when the eggs are cooked, serve it up in a bowl with some shredded sharp cheddar or good quality sheep's milk feta cheese. It's so good, very filling, and takes less than ten minutes to cook. And you can throw it in a wrap if you want to take it to go!
I think I'm one of the few first ones to watch the video. It literally says 36 second ago. I don't think I have said it or I don't remember, but I really really appreciate your videos. I have been watching your videos for a very long time now. There is a sort of familiarity or connect. I feel with you. You come across as such genuine person and you talk about the lows so openly. It is all so relatable. I think that's what makes you extra special. I've seen you grow sort of when I saw you shift from your home to I think now it's the third or fourth home. I love your vibe and energy. Your smile is so infectious and you're so pretty. Have always loved the content and the poems. Wish nothing but the best for you. Also, you're editing is so good that I forget time and again that the robotic voice is actually your sense of humor and the lines added by you. But it's so relatable because it's like the internal dialogue we all have. Also inspired by how much you love the Google pixel. I also bought a Google pixel a while back. Sending you lots and lots and lots of love from India.
15 minutes to cut carrots?! Wat. How? You can also use a mandolin or a grater if you don't care about it being julienned. Or just buy a bag of shredded carrot if you're unable to use any of those other methods.
Oo they all looked so good and you are getting more confident with cooking for sure. Did you know that coriander tastes like soap for some people due to a super-sensitivity to chemicals called aldehydes, which are present in coriander and are also used to perfume soaps!! I love it but hubby can’t stand it 🤷♂️
I've tried this myself, salt when mixed and the egg sat a bit before cooking Salt immediately before cooking And salt after It all comes down to preference, I prefer before because it makes sure the entirety of the egg is seasoned. with doing it after, I find it can be somewhat uneven or the salt crystals remain and add an unwanted crunch to them
I heard from a food scientist that salting raw eggs does change how they cook but it takes quite a long time for the reaction to occur. So it’s okay to salt eggs for scrambled eggs, omelets, chiffon style cakes as long as you’re not going to blend them up and put them in the fridge for hours. I do prefer them preseasoned.
fyi, making the sushi roll instead in a bowl format or burrito its making it easier to be eaten, although I really don't trust the recipe to only be prepared in 15min unless you've chopped up the veg and pre-cooked the rice beforehandss... 🙂
The reason some people say cilantro and coriander taste like soap is because some people share a similar smell receptor gene , the gene picks up a chemical that is in cilantro , coriander , the chemical is found in cilantro leaves and is used in making soap I have this and my dad did - first time I had cilantro I vomited , I was making home made dumplings for the first time I started to cut up some cilantro and I stepped away for something and stepped back and the smell was so horrible I couldn’t stand it me and my dad only smelled it my mom thought we were crazy, like it was so strong to us we had to step outside turn the fan on the whole nine yards , long story short I thought I took all the cilantro out of the filling I cooked the dumplings and I got a big bite of cilantro I didn’t catch when I filled the dumplings because I thought it was cabbage or green onion- so for me it smells and taste like soap but it also smells like a sting bug to me because sting bugs spray they release is made up of the same components that cilantro is so it has the same scent. It’s crazy to me still , i Will legit tell some restaurants I’m allergic because otherwise they’ll leave it in and I will gag if I eat it it taste like something you would take to regurgitate something you shouldn’t have ingested it’s so wrong.
Hi if you see people needing a new home again TAZ please tell them about copper maker square it’s high end but there may be older people and professionals who love it. I saw it on my phone and wow does it look good. I am megan I love watching your web show vlog and I’ve been going out to eat and being a foodie myself I like going for food it’s fun. Thanks I love sushi and fish too it’s nice to go for bento Thankyou for posting it’s always nice hearing your food stories megan from Swansea
My grandfather tried to convince me that ivory soap was white chocolate lol and got me to try it, lol I can safely say that Ivory soap is not white chocolate 😂❤
Actually gasped out loud when you tipped the bag of sugar to add a pinch, thought half the bag was about to fall in 😂 Will definitely try the chicken curry, did it take you 15 minutes? Whenever I try these 15 min meals it seems to take me twice as long 😅
I heard a joke once where someone said they were busy cooking, and were 2 hours into one of Jamie Oliver's 30 minute meals! 🤣 Wonder how long they had to go?!
Great that you've found some quick new recipes! I'd make sushi more often if I could be bothered with the rice. 😅 Just a note on sitting while cooking - I've heard that it's generally not advised as it could stop you from moving away quickly and safely if anything were to happen (fire/oil splashes, etc). These recipes have less of that risk, but always better to be safe. :)
Air Up is a load of crap. Someone bought my daughter one for her 8th birthday and there's barely any flavour at all they're ridiculously expensive for what they are.

6:52 Definitly potatoes, there’s so many cooking options!

The curry tastes better because it's been marinating overnight. I always love curries more the next day they same with homemade soups
agreed

so interesting to think about. thank you for the comment and info! :)
Now that I think about it maybe this is the reason I'm not able to taste anything when my nose is stuffed😅😮
yes tortillas are tacos! but usually the small corn ones are used for soft tacos and the bigger flour tortillas are for burritos/quesadillas!
When you use cornstarch mix it with some water (slurry) before adding it into sauces to thicken them or it will go lumpy

Look, there is just no way that sushi salat only took you 15 min. Cutting the carrots alone takes 15 minutes.
😂 how big are the carrots 😂
15 minutes to cut carrots?! Wat. How? You can also use a mandolin or a grater if you don't care about it being julienned. Or just buy a bag of shredded carrot if you're unable to use any of those other methods.
Well maybe the 15 minutes is just for the cook time , that’s how they get you …. 😅
@@Mossfaerie fine motor skills issues. I have them lol.
I guess you've never tried to make it I've done it in 10mins
Curry is something that just gets better and better with time. It’s a great meal to prepare in advance and batch cook. ❤
Its the chicken got all the flavors in deep
I'm sorry Taz, but I don't think your frying pan is quite 32 inches, 32cm maybe?😅
I was thinking this too 😂 looks like 32 cm, or Taz is a giant 😂
I MISS YOUUUUU, FINALLY I GET TO WATCH YOUU AFTER MY EXAM HAVE DONE
Oo they all looked so good and you are getting more confident with cooking for sure. You actually want to add salt after cooking eggs. Adding salt beforehand changes the way the eggs cook. :)
I heard that this was just a rumor
😂😂 Noooo
I love how this is stuff people never think to mention because it’s normalized for “basic” even if someone says they are a beginner good reminder
I've tried this myself, salt when mixed and the egg sat a bit before cooking
Salt immediately before cooking
And salt after
It all comes down to preference, I prefer before because it makes sure the entirety of the egg is seasoned. with doing it after, I find it can be somewhat uneven or the salt crystals remain and add an unwanted crunch to them

fyi, making the sushi roll instead in a bowl format or burrito its making it easier to be eaten, although I really don't trust the recipe to only be prepared in 15min unless you've chopped up the veg and pre-cooked the rice beforehandss... 🙂

Can someone spell out the anchovies sauce she used with the sushi I’d love to try it
Do try making paneer/tofu chilly , it's an indo-chinese dish. Really simple and very tasty.
you should try patatas revolconas, easy to make and so good
My grandfather tried to convince me that ivory soap was white chocolate lol and got me to try it, lol I can safely say that Ivory soap is not white chocolate 😂❤
There's more variety to pasta than rice😂
If It's rice in general, I think I would have to disagree.
Put the beans and cheese in the pan with the eggs so they are warm. Just before the eggs are done.
Are you half Philippines?? Dope video btw
We need a gordan ramsay and raz collab
What is the song Taz put at the end of the video?
I am sure going to try the chicken curry.. more vid like this, simple but not THAT simple☺️
Actually gasped out loud when you tipped the bag of sugar to add a pinch, thought half the bag was about to fall in 😂 Will definitely try the chicken curry, did it take you 15 minutes? Whenever I try these 15 min meals it seems to take me twice as long 😅

I always heat up tortilla wraps in the microwave!
Chef Taz.. Gordon Ramsay would be very proud of you 😊
I think the SAMBAL you bought is from Indonesia

Eid Al Adha Mubarak to you & your family, have a wonderful Eid🎉🎊🍾🎁💐🕋🕌📿🤲🏻🙏🏻❤
Of the topic here but we want more kukki and kantharani!
I love your videos Taz, but the Texan in me kinda broke a little watching you put black beans on breakfast tacos
I love adding egg yolks to my ramen
I'd choose bread for the one thing to eat every day
looked so delicious, but I would make them in a vegetarian/vegan way. :)
Beautiful Taz ❤.
i think what you are having for breakfast is a soft taco.
Only one food? Potatoes.
Sushi is NOT 15min. The rice alone takes over 20min
My daughter loves breakfast foods. She would rather have them for lunch though! Hahaha!
32inch frying pan means you have to make paella in it 😀
Great that you've found some quick new recipes! I'd make sushi more often if I could be bothered with the rice. 😅
Just a note on sitting while cooking - I've heard that it's generally not advised as it could stop you from moving away quickly and safely if anything were to happen (fire/oil splashes, etc). These recipes have less of that risk, but always better to be safe. :)
I'm here!
❤Taz ❤.
That pan is definitely not 32 inches 🙃 32inches is just under 3 feet. I'm guessing 32 cm which is about a 1 foot.
Air Up is a load of crap. Someone bought my daughter one for her 8th birthday and there's barely any flavour at all they're ridiculously expensive for what they are.
Breakfast is my favourite meal 😅
CHIPS
