SPLATTERHOUSE and LEECH Live VHS Portland Oregon May 1st 2005 Backyard Kegger

Recorded by (?) on May 1st, 2005 in a backyard in Portland, Goregon. This was filmed at a house party for Ollie's birthday and was the live debut of the mighty Splatterhouse, fresh off their killer album "The House That Dead Built", followed by Leech from Salem, who were still in high school and had yet to record their first demo, "Ten Black Hymns”. The footage was hand-dubbed onto 20 VHS tapes with screen printed covers I made in my graphic arts class, and given to the band to take to Maryland Deathfest a few weeks later. Quite the rare item nowadays!
Splatterhouse's entire discography has just been remastered and reissued for the first time from Frozen Screams Imprint and Selfmadegod Records, complete with an extensive booklet featuring rare photos, interviews and flyers. This footage was rediscovered after the compilation was released, so could not be included, but I hope you enjoy this time capsule back to the early 2000s scene, where grinding, thrashing GORE METAL reigned supreme and was thriving in its own PNW putrescence with great bands like Engorged, Lordgore, Funerot and so many more. What a time to be DEAD!
