    I cannot wait to see Pete Buttigieg on the debate stage. He is starting to win me over. Before this interview I was at 50% there. I now think I’m 75% there. I’m African-American woman leaning towards Mayor Pete. He’s a clean politician with a clean past. He went to war for us all. Never hesitate to put his life in danger for me and for you. Yes he answered the questions asked in the interview, but did he actually propose any specific policy or how he will address the issues during this interview? The answer is a flat out no, he is playing by the same playbook as Democrats of old by being vague about specific policy while touting morals. @Adam Jacobs Not talking about his ideas but here are 4 simple reasons Bernie cannot win
      1. He is an Independent until he needs the Democratic Party (a lot of Dems oppose his "radical ideas"
      2. Bernie what is Democratic Socialism? Bernie; Its just Democracy (most ppl hear socialsim/communism)
      3. The same strategy that HRC used did not work (Im not Trump wont work for any of them)
      4. Fight the system! (Bernie hasnt actually passed any legislation while in Congress, and is a part of the problem)

    • @menamiller50
      @menamiller50 5 років тому

      @Adam Jacobs
      1.For Bernie to win the Dem nomination, he actually has to have Democratic support (I would submit the fact there are 25 Dem candidates....if you narrow that down to 5, that gives him 25%)
      2. No other candidate has openly supported Socialist/Communist leaders and their regime like Bernie has, and if Democratic Socialism is simply Democracy why associate it with Socialism? Kinda sounds like youre dismissing the "flyover states"
      3. I understand the theory that if a candidate takes corporate money they are beholden o them and by the same token that if they take money from the people they are beholden to them (makes sense) The thing that doesnt make sense is that the people that can least afford it are the ones that are providing financial support to what I heard someone liken to the "lifestyles of the rich and famous" Although 2016 is in the rearview mirror Bernie took money from the DNC which was made solvent by HRC. Ive listened to Bernie and a lot of what he says is "Trump is bad" albeit less than Biden. Take a look at your post as an example......I was pointing out the reason why Bernie cannot win apart from policies, and you circled around "Bernie can alone beat Trump", but has already shown he could not beat HRC to even have a chance at beating Trump.
      Imalso using myself as an example....Bernie is inspiring the same people he had in 2016, and using your example of a female woman of color to bring in the demographhic they inspire is a losing strategy. Why not put forward the best candidate???
      Keep in mind that Im asking and not arguing, so many ppl (Bernie supporters) use the "because I said so" or "Bernie has ALWAYS been morally right" without any substance.

      @@Lildizzle420 If you call being for everyone's rights including gays decades before the rest of the country came on board a failure because he couldn't get them passed decades sooner you are entitled to that opinion.
      The majority of this country was also not on board with Medicare for all until recent years and Bernie is one of the main reasons attention is brought to that now. If you also think that's a failure then you are entitled to that opinion, too.
      My point being just because Bernie couldn't get his policies passed when the majority of people were not on board with it doesn't make him a failure IMO. But he has had accomplishments starting with being the Amendment King which is just as important as writing a bill if it is to pass! He has had accomplishments since then, too! I can list some of them if you want?
      No one should vote for Bernie or any other candidate if they don't agree with them on issues!
      As for me I don't vote for someone that is taking corp donations or turned to corp bundlers for donations! In addition to that they have to have a voting record that lets me know they are for the same issues I am for and that they will do what they say they will. That's my principles to pick who I vote for and that's fine for me.

      @@JustMe-ec2ph I think you're giving him way too much credit and those are not his accomplishments, you're giving credit for the work of other people. the democratic party has pushed medicare for all for years, bernie doesn't get credit for the work of the entire party.

      @@Lildizzle420 LOL Wow, what other Dems have pushed Medicare for all for "years", please tell me? Not saying there isn't any but I sure don't know of any others and I definitely remember when Obama pushed the Grand Bargain with social security cuts that most Dems were also pushing Bernie was one of the few speaking out against that bringing awareness to that. If you don't think it's accomplishments to get bills passed then you obviously don't care about it. No worries we all have our opinions.
      By the way, what credit for the entire Dem party? Other than the stop the wars in Yemen Act that Bernie help sponsor I haven't seen them pass anything for the middle class and poor but do tell me what I missed?
      I know Bernie doesn't get credit for the war in Iraq or for the Patriot Act that has taken some of our freedoms away that politicians in both parties voted for while Bernie voted against it. So I am glad he doesn't get any credit for some of the bad policies that has been passed that he voted against!
