For us here in the UAE, the Apple Watch with GPS only, costs more than the one with GPS+CELLULAR!! I’m gonna get one soon after I convinced my dad to get it for me! Along with the solo pistachio loop band which I’ll pay half for aince it 199 Dh here so yea!! I’m really excited to get my new Apple Watch SE Series 6!!!

Also T-Mobile allows you to set up a certain plan, and then you can add phone lines for 10$ a month. I have my two adults siblings on my T-Mobile plan, just an FYI. My 9 year old has this. She loves it. We can track her location and text/call her. She can’t use UA-cam or TikTok or a camera. There’s even a few little watch games for her. It’s awesome.

Before, I paired the watch via an iPhone that used wifi only. Today tmobile advised to delete the cellular plan from the watch. Now they can't add it back. All messages on apple watch state. Waiting for activation🤦🏾♀️

you actually have to pay the $30 for a new number if you want your child to be able to use the cellular to call you while it is out and there is no wireless available. I found out the hard way, I bought this for my daughter because I didn't want to get her a phone and paid the $10 for wearable from tmobile, and I wanted to set up the family set up and it didn't allow me to set up the cellular. She can text and stuff while on the house with the wireless but since she doesn't have a phone line, the cellular set up is not available for the family set up. It seems that the only way to get cellular for the $10 is if the watch is set up for myself because I have my own telephone

The iPad Pro has an 120hz refresh rate which helps drasticly for drawing snd note taking with the apple pencil, if i were you i would buy the iPad Pro :) The iPad Pro has exellent battery life, the iPad Air pobably will too and both will most likely to recommend.

Hmm, didn't realize they could exit out of school mode. That might be a deal breaker since I know our school district doesn't allow kids to have devices at all times. IF they can exit and use it during test and what not, then that'll be a problem for sure. Hopefully this comes with a notification to the parent, which allows them to lock it back.

I just bought the Apple Watch 6 series (cellular), and I’m going to be giving my 4 series (cellular) to my son. I have already set it up, but now, I’m wondering how to go about downloading complications (apps) directly from his watch. When I try to download from the App Store on the watch, I am prompted to enter his Apple ID, and password, which I do, but it just ignores my entry, and keeps asking over and over again. I’ve seen the option to share app purchases, but that isn’t working either. I know there’s no problem with the watch itself, because I’ve kept it in pristine condition.
I am so frustrated. I have an Apple Watch SE (gen 2) GPS and a IPhone 14 max pro and it just can’t get my kid’s iWatch paired. I keep getting the message that I need a GPS series 4 Apple Watch or later and I have all of that. I have also created my kid’s Apple ID and have shared as family member. Do you know if you can set up an Apple Watch for yourself this way? My pre-paid carrier doesn't support Apple Watch and I would be perfectly happy setting up a watch with TruPhone with a separate number. But I don't know if this is allowed.
One problem I encountered while setting up a child is when I put my child’s current apple ID (since he has an ipad already) on the email address part, it is saying that this ID has already been used or taken. So I basically is not able to set up my child as a child if I want to tie it on to his current apple ID. I set him up as an adult. Do you have any solution to this or aware of this problem? Thanks!
New user here. Set up two watches this past weekend, one for me and the other for my child. One issue we had was that he already had his Apple ID for his iPod but it had restrictions ON on the iPod. This unbeknownst to us, disabled the password for his AppleID, which you must have to setup the watch. After getting locked out for a day, and still not being allowed in, even though we had the correct password, we found some support document telling us to release the restrictions on the iPod first and then almost everything worked the rest of the way. I had to use my parent lock out code to release the restrictions. 2nd hiccup was the watch face for my child's watch. We couldn't understand why the watch face page wasn't shown on the app when using my iPhone to set up the child's watch. The setup page is very different for the child's watch. It was only 3 days later, and much loss of excitement for my child, that we figured out you could tap and hold the watch face, and then swipe the watch face to the left to add and swipe up to delete some watch faces. I still found nothing about this in the Apple guides. And I still don't believe that ALL available watch faces are coming through to the child's watch even though I paid the same amount for his watch. I'm trying to send him a watch face through messages now but it's taking a long time to download. All we wanted was the 'friendly ghost' for his watch face this week! So family setup while fairly easy, doesn't have all the support documents yet to diy troubleshoot and like in my past experiences, has some obscure set of commands that must be performed which are only known by experts. I'm still the hero for a little while though. Thanks for the videos!

You can set it up on your phone where they will get their own number, you just have to pay for the service to use their number on AT&T, Verizon, etc.

Hi! on the SIM card, do you have to enter the sim in, or will it sync the parents SIM card so do you have to buy the SIM card or not?

New user here. Set up two watches this past weekend, one for me and the other for my child. One issue we had was that he already had his Apple ID for his iPod but it had restrictions ON on the iPod. This unbeknownst to us, disabled the password for his AppleID, which you must have to setup the watch. After getting locked out for a day, and still not being allowed in, even though we had the correct password, we found some support document telling us to release the restrictions on the iPod first and then almost everything worked the rest of the way. I had to use my parent lock out code to release the restrictions.
2nd hiccup was the watch face for my child's watch. We couldn't understand why the watch face page wasn't shown on the app when using my iPhone to set up the child's watch. The setup page is very different for the child's watch. It was only 3 days later, and much loss of excitement for my child, that we figured out you could tap and hold the watch face, and then swipe the watch face to the left to add and swipe up to delete some watch faces. I still found nothing about this in the Apple guides. And I still don't believe that ALL available watch faces are coming through to the child's watch even though I paid the same amount for his watch. I'm trying to send him a watch face through messages now but it's taking a long time to download. All we wanted was the 'friendly ghost' for his watch face this week! So family setup while fairly easy, doesn't have all the support documents yet to diy troubleshoot and like in my past experiences, has some obscure set of commands that must be performed which are only known by experts. I'm still the hero for a little while though. Thanks for the videos!

IF I WAS TO PURCHASE THE APPLE WATCH SE FROM VERIZON AND KEEP THAT PLAN, CAN I PAIR IT WITH THE AT&T IPHONE? IF ANYONE KNOWS, PLEASE REPLY. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!
