We need an expanded map, more stories (not just one main story), just more DLC for Hogwarts Legacy in general. They're shooting themselves in the foot by not adding any option for dlc with more stories, etc.
My only crirtique of: The maps way too big for the content it has. I have nearly Platnimuned the game and have over 100 hrs on Hogwarts Legacy. I realised after maybe 25 hrs of my orignal playthrough that the map was WAY too big. They should have kept it at North Ford Bog, Forbidden Forest, Hogsmead Valley, North and South Hogwarts. They coud have used the other areas for DLCand add extra content to flesh it out with.
@@Martyn_WolfI’ve said this too. The world is absolutely gorgeous, but there’s way too much map that serves no purpose. It feels like they cut out magical parts of the castle (where they could have added more castle - hidden passages and such) and added a lot of dead space in the world map.
YES DEMENTORS PLEASE! 😂 I was really hoping for the ability to fight dementors when I saw this game begin developing, and while not having that expectation met did not destroy my gaming experience, (far from it in fact), it did make me sad that they didn't go for it. I hope they will add it still. I remember playing HP and the Prisoner of Azkaban on my computer when I was younger and being able to fight dementors was the absolute peak of my Harry Potter gaming experience! As I've already said, very much hope they go for it, whether it is a DLC or a new game.
Ugh. It’s so frustrating to hear how people fail to understand the appeal of single-player, offline, narrative experiences. It was the treatment of the IP and an open world that was fun to explore, with robust gameplay systems that made Legacy a success.
People understand. They just also want to be able to go to Hogwarts with their friends. A lot of the players grew up with the world and they want to experience true student life with their friends like they used to play pretend doing as children.
What i want from "Hogwarts Legacy": 1. More hairstyles for females. 2. More female voice options. 3. Clothing stores that have colour customization for outfits. 4. Personalities. How a student responds to things is how they respond to them. For example, a female student with a sweet innocent personality to respond to first encounter with Inferi "Oh yuck, what are those things?!" 5. Fix up story with the student's connection with ancient magic. How does Ranrok suddenly become interested in her?
I would love a Wizarding World game set in London where you play as an auror who is working with the Ministry to take down a magical crime syndicate. Access to the MoM and Diagon Alley would be included! Plus, it could include a mechanic where you have to avoid the detection of muggles (or obliviate them when they do spot you).
I thought something similar the other day! And if it’s open world and takes place in England maybe we can also experience The Burrow, No. 12 Grimmauld Place, etc.
Getting DLC would be nice for sure! An MMO though, i'm not too sure about that. I like this RPG style a bit better personally. A big main story with different little side quests is nice. A bigger map for sure. There are lots of improvements to be made though. Like, the money in the game. It's nice to have a way to have lots of money early on in the game. But once our clothing is fully upgraded, you can't do anything anymore. I would love to have some kind of career mode after you graduate from Hogwarts (in the 7th yr.) earn your own money in any kind of career, buy your own house and decorate as you please. (It doesn't has to be as detailed like in The Sims for example.) But they can add so much later on. Or have a community on it. They could even add Quidditch as a career... I'm asking too much right? Hmm, i know. I'm dreaming. But seriously, if they even consider even one of these options, it could be so cool. Also, give us Diagon Alley. There is so much that can be done with this game!
@@RetroRaconteur , we'll see. The "games as a service" model is played out, as far as I'm concerned. I am not interested in an "always-online EA Origin launcher" nightmare. If it's not broke, and HL certainly isn't, then don't fix it.
I want Hogwarts Legacy 2! That takes place in the 1950s and access to Diagon Alley. By the way I'm playing it right now so I wouldn't mind extra content as well so if we get DLC it would be nice.
@@winterwine460 Riddle worked for Borgin and Burkes until 1957 after leaving Hogwarts. His job was the acquisition of magical items and artefacts. So he _could_ be about.
They need to expand on the magical abilities you have and give you real consequences to your action. Follow the path that dragon age went and allow for consequences. Add classes... give you a bunch of creative ways to play . This is a world of magic.... but we can't be as magical as we want to be as fans of the series. The stories were great and it would be cool to play with my friends but i just want the game to do the series justice. After one full playthrough i feel that it didn't
I really do hope it isn't going to be an mmo. I feel like HL did so well because it was a single player story. I don't think an mmo would sell so well.
I want them to do games in all the different magical schools. For example Beauxbatons Legacy or Durmstrang legacy, that would be awesome. There's like 11 magic schools and 8 named schools, so that a potential for another 7 - 10 more games! 😁😆
Yes Uagadou Legacy would be incredible and especially since it's meant to be the biggest magical school. So there would be more to explore! @@kiterafrey
This game is begging for a photo mode, new game plus and definitely some dlc I would also love to see dueling tournaments expanded upon aswell as the combat arenas
photo mode is also on my wishlist. You straight up expect it in this kind of game now to the point that I thought I just didn't know where it was. the talent-reset potion you can currently plug in via mod, some kind of gear-set option to have more than one combat built and the ability to sell excess potions and resources are all the kind of stuff that just falls into the category of "minor things that I can't believe aren't in the game".
A dlc where you solve a mystery at Azkaban would be pretty cool lol the little bit i did get to see through my hufflepuff run was really cool and creepy and sad
Totally agree. A full quest and series of missions involving more explorable areas of Azkaban would be AMAZING. Oh and...don't forget...we'd need to learn the Patronus charm!
@@dominicgoudos5859 you go there as a hufflepuff but you really just walk into a single room and talk to someone before leaving and that's about it lol what I want is a full multi level Azkaban to explore
Personally I was happy to have them explain quidditch away (Granted I want it in the game). But if they feel they can't do it justice I would rather them not try and do it right later then give us a bad time now. I will hope for the future but I am happy to see when a game knows its to much!
I really want some expansion on the learning aspect of the game, like if you need a certain spell for a quest then you have to take a certain amount of classes in order to master it or you need to search the library for a specific spell book and then take some time to practice it, or if you want to learn more dark magic then you sneak into the restricted section and have a look through some dark magic books. I dunno maybe thats a little too far fetched or sounds boring to others but it just feels more authentic to me….i just think we have all these amazing classrooms and the library (with the restricted section) and nothing to do in there really
I think it would be an interesting experiment if there was a mature Wizarding World game that would not only delve very deep into a morality system but also relationship between wizards and non-magical people and their separation, especially how wizards deal with our world and our issues. OG books and other media so far didn't take this angle and that's rather understandable as highlinging them would take some of the focus from Wizarding Worlds problems, like discrimination towards muggle-born wizards. But now there's enough official HP media around that making small experiments lkike that could work. HP needs that Star Wars/DC/Marvel versality (as well as minimallise Rowling presence, but that's another thing).
…Have you checked in on Marvel recently? People are SICK TO DEATH of ‘versatility’ and adding new elements for the sake of it. It becomes impossible to keep up with. Less is more. Your idea is good though.
@@Pmccaff2009 What I was reffering wasn't complex storytelling within one solid canon necessarly, but rather that within Marvel's catalogue there's something for veryone. There are shows, comic books, games, books, movies etc.aimed at toddlers, kids, teens and adults speciffically. Harry Potter brand is already quite wide, but still is mostly aimed at kids and teens. Not to mention still suffering from assosation with Rowling and her views. What it needs, I think, to stay relevant, is new authors with fresh look creating new stories and tackling new and relevant themes.
After the initial announcement of no DLC one Dev clarified they wanted to finish porting the game to all platforms before they started planning any DLC. So it has been ported to all platforms so they are probably working on DLC now.
I would only like multi-player if its similar to BG3s were only my friends can join me via invite. I DO NOT want randoms running around ruining my game.
Imagine having the immersion of rdr2 and the witcher 3 in a HP game. I'd like to see a character who's an ex auror on the run to clear his name. Set up camp, place a tent and customise it like the room of requirement. The only difference is new interiors, ability to use protection charms around your campsite and portability of your mobile safe house. To top that, our character who's the same 5th year who either took the power or contained it at the repository and is being perused for it. Depending on what you choose (which you can choose at the beginning of the game) you'll be set to become a light/dark wizard with actual consequences to not just the story but the type of enemies that come after you. Magical beasts are not just to be rescued but there are real frightening dangers in the forbidden forest and all around the map. A darker tone to the new game, the way the HP books went with a bit of actual solvable mystery would be a great addition. Not just broom flight but to be able to fly as mist (light or dark depending upon your choice) and use that as infiltration and stealth options. Have more than one wand, patronus charm, a much better selection of outfits (HL outfits were a joke to be honest except a handful of good ones.) and finally we play as an adult and not as children. No matter how many times I cast AK in HL, that childish voice never made it feel like a killing curse. All of this in a SINGLE PLAYER 50+ hour game!
Considering patronus charms were in the demo and later cut i imagine dementors will be added along with the expecto patronum charm, possibly other wizarding schools might be involved as well considering they're mentioned a fair bit by multiple characters in Hogwarts legacy
An Ilvermorny game has SO MUCH POTENTIAL!!! It would be fresh and new no timeline or characters you'd have to follow or be pinned down to. A fresh canvas to make the school, grounds, and characters. I mean even the sorting in Ilvermorny is perfect for games because it's your choice what house you want to join based on which statue reacts to you. All the elements for an amazing and new game are right there!
While I agree, I think it would a tough sell to take people away from Hogwarts. That's really the iconic piece that brings it all together, imo. I could definitely see us visiting other big wizarding world locations though.
@@RetroRaconteur I 100% agree it would be difficult as well as the icon Hogwarts is. But I believe the Wizarding World is popular enough that an Ilvermorny game could work. They'll never know until they try just like the first Fantastic Beasts movie.
We need more DLC’s, an expansion on spells (like Patronus charm, etc.), quidditch, and a morality system (red dead redemption 2 comes to mind). We also need an expanded map like others commenting saying Diagon Alley and London and some sort of avoiding muggle detection with the ability to obligate if we do…all yes for me!! I know I’m asking for a lot, but it would be awesome to have a dark wizard route. Dev’s come on and give us something…
The castle does just feel a bit empty four common rooms a handful of classrooms and endless corridors which are great and all but I feel like there would be more classrooms, larger dormitories more students and teachers walking about. It just feels a bit vacant, I would have preferred the classes to be a bit more structured and the exploration outside of hogwarts either left to a weekend or after hours sneaking out or with special permission off the teachers. It felt like a game made by and for people who think they’re fans, but they aren’t really. It’s just a bit lacklustre in some places and feels unfinished. Especially with character relationships, morality choices and story progression.
Yeah, you're very limited in what you can do. It's an "open world" for kids in my opinion. Open enough to walk around and bask in the beautiful architecture but past that, it's nothing but a bunch of mindless npcs doing nothing. You can tell they're only there to pad out the "open worlds" population and I think outside Hogwarts it's too much. There is an npc or two walking down every path every 100 feet or less. Most aren't students but residents.
That's why Singleplayer games rule! And they earn you BIG in the long run. But not like EA, they want ALL of the money now on both short term and long term.
@@FTChomp9980 I'm hoping they're gearing up for some big things to announce around the one year anniversary. Things like a Photo Mode and New Game+ would be awesome free updates...then they could also have the larger, story driven DLC expansions.
If Hogwarts legacy ever get dlc or even sequel totally be happy with more creatures need that second Phoenix to add to my collection, spells and actually add a patronus plus give us better customization for wands like point where the flexibility the length wand wood and core where everything plays a role in game that has benefits each one should be unique like how movies have it
I’m not completely against an MMO but not now or so soon that it’ll take away from Hogwarts Legacy. Hogwarts Legacy is unique and special as a single player game because it offers the unique experience to explore the world without being completely distracted or overwhelmed by other players. Now if they add a Co-Op mode for either the DLC or HL2 then this is a good compromise, it gives us the choice to invite players to our game and missions or continue our journey as a single player. Honestly though I don’t think a live service game is the smart move to make with this IP, not right now anyways. They definitely should have a HL sequel or two and allow this game to generate more buzz and fan base that people will want to buy and sustain a live service game of it, after all MMO games are a challenge aaand I haven’t been hearing great things about the WB S Squad live service game, I would rather they hold off on a Wizarding World MMO and get their live service situation sorted first. Thanks for the great video Retro!
Glad you enjoyed it, MoonLily! And thank you for your thoughts. I definitely think an MMO would be something way more down the road as opposed to a Hogwarts Legacy 2. But I guess we'll see!
i mean Hogwarts Legacy was the best selling game of 2023, beating out both God of War and Spiderman 2, beating game of the year Baulders gate 3 AND it was the studios FIRST AAA game - just imagine what that same studio could do now with the extra funding and the experience
How about this based on other schools in the wizarding world?!?! There is evermorney (I don’t know the spelling), or the school in Brazil that would make a hell of a game, or better yet, a world where you can fast travel to all of these. A truly massive, next gen game. I would wait 15 years happily if they could pull off a game like this.
Hogwarts Legacy is one of my favourite games and I still play Magic Awakened every day. I would love DLC for HL, but I hope they work on a direct sequel at the same time. I want to see our character enter their next year!
Hogwards Legacy is a great game for sure, but I felt it lacking when it came to npc/world interactions. For an example, I never felt the need or want, to spend time in my house common room.
Yeah -- The common room (as much as I wanted to love it) was rather boring. Aside from a couple specifics, it's too bad it wasn't more of a "quest hub," or just the ability to talk to NPCs and hear rumors and such that could help you in questing maybe.
I hate MMOs. I hate everything about them. Yes there is a market for it. BUT… There is clearly a billion dollar market for single player rpg in the wizarding world. I FIRMLY believe that the primary reason Hogwarts Legacy did SO well was BECAUSE casual gamers could easily pick up the game and enjoy it. Turn it into an MMO and you WILL lose a good portion of your paying consumer base. I am so sick of people ruining things I care about.
Did you watch the whole video? I actually think there are multiple games in development and from their quotes, it sounds like they really understand what made Hogwarts Legacy such a huge success.
@@RetroRaconteur I did. And I am aware that there multiple projects in the works. But I guess you could say I am a pessimist. So many single player RPGs are being…elbowed out of the market in favor of these MMOs. I feel like I have to fight for my niche to be heard.
Yes! And It would've been nice to be able to build friendships (or even rivals) with the characters as well. Sometimes questing can get lonely😂 I wanna bring my bestie whenever I want to.
I think a Red Dead Redemption style with massive freedom... maybe even a reputation aspect where if you want to go dark you can, where you can either work with the ministry as an auror or essentially recruit and create death eaters (a la assassin creed 2/ brotherhood with the recruiting and leveling of subordinate wizards)
I want the next game to focus much less on stuff like ancient magic and prophecies, and instead focus more on stuff like going to class, hanging out with students, extracurriculars, and so on. I want a Hogwarts school simulator, not a high fantasy story about defeating evil.
Animagus option. That is one thing I want to see either as a new option for the game or as a main feature in any sequel to this game. They could tailor certain missions and treasures to a flying, swimming, burrowing, or very small animagus form. I really hope we get a ton of new content so I can enjoy replaying this for a long time!
I *loved* Hogwarts Legacy, and enjoyed playing through the whole thing & thoroughly enjoyed the 2 main storylines. My only "big" complaint about the game were the controls. I wish they would have taken advantage of a keyboard when playing on a PC, rather than making us stick with the clunky controller-based UI.
Yeah the PC port was super lazy done. They could have made you practice the spell by moving the mouse etc, but they chose not to put any effort into that. Broom flight without a mouse steering is also weird, thankfully there is a mod for that
I wonder if you can look into the behind the scenes feature that the devs were going to show of Hogwarts Legacy I believe it was supposed to come out during the holidays but nothing came
Yep, for sure. I’ve been wondering about this too. Maybe they announced it too early and just couldn’t get it ready? Seems like that would be something cool for them to drop on the one year anniversary. But yeah…the total silence on it has been strange.
I wouldn't be surprised to see it come out on its anniversary and I also think the Haunted store addon will be free to play for the non-play station users at that time too.
The article is just blatantly wrong. Don't get me wrong: Hogwarts Legacy had an impressive year, but the title is simply a complete lie since Baldur's Gate 3 has sold 28.25M on steam alone, where as (if we are to believe WB's word) HL has sold 22M across all platforms. I just hope that the next game has at least SOME replayability and more advanced mechanics catered towards gamers and non gamers alike, since it's very obvious that the systems in HL have been dumbed down for non gamers to enjoy the game (very shallow gameplay and story, apart from the combat, and even that wasn't taken to its full potential with simple combat encounters and generic and dumb enemies).
It is hard to imagine much more content, the system was enjoyable but minimalist. They already squeezed the simplistic combat and rpg system for all it was worth with the amount of content the put in HL base. Any MMO would need to be quite a bit different. Too much of the game is too uninteresting (growing herbs, selling pets, etc). These are things that feel MMOy, but lack even enough substance to be implemented. Being able to dual other people would be a hit. As for single player. It probably makes financial sense, but it will be interesting to see how that develops. I for one enjoyed HL, but am all HLed out. Normally a game Franshize like this goes small linear first and then naturally expands to big open world in its second iteration. HL started with simplistic mechanics in a HUGE open world. I worry they will leave the game play shiny but hollow and just make the world 10% bigger and call it an improvement.
I really enjoyed the game, although I would appreciate if the "hard" mode was harder, because it was ridiculously easy, and also if the choices mattered. Because they dont matter, my second playthrough is lazy and I decide randomly...
There’s a time and a place for mmo games but certainly not for this! I want no competition or cooperation in any way for this. I want to deepdive in this universe alone and at my own pace.
UEVR allows you to do that already. If all you want is walk around, go check it out :) A native VR support would be amazing though, as well as a regular first-person view mode
The problem with dlc for people like me who play on the switch is that you Have to be connected to Wi-Fi to play with your dlc content at all times, Which defeats the portability of the game. I was hoping that after downloading the dlc that I could disconnect from my Wi-Fi and play with my dlc assuming the “download” meant the files would on my console to read and load up anytime since the switch was supposed to be designed for portable play, but no. I wish game consoles had a option to put a sims card for cellular internet connection through a wireless provider. Like a go phone internet plan or something like how a iPad works.
I'd want another HL singleplayer with a p2p multiplayer while keeping everything from the first game and just adding and refining things.... add quidditch, add broom combat, add in year 6th of the character learning to create new spells with ancient magic to face new threats
Thank you Retro! finally! nice to see someone else on board with DLC & updates rather than out right disregarding & going with the formentioned " NO. DLC. EVER" approach. I'm sick of people saying avalanche won't do DLC & completely taking Alan Tews words out of context. Plus there's those who just wanta sequel right away & while they may have the foundations layed its still going to take time to put the bigger systems in like in dpeth choices & morality, hopefully they will put in the more glaringly obvious issues such as sleeping, sitting down other basic RPG elements. As you know the world of HL is baron in terms of content & lifeless especially when you have the NPC students just vanihs at night, sure there's enviromental storytelling among other elements but that's not enough to keep people playing the game. If they could tweak smaller parts of the game then that would be welcomed. I haven't played HL in a while, I haven't done everything there is to do & only have 1 playthrough which is Ravenclaw, but right now I'm still playing Ghost of Tshushima, I started playing it after the shallowness & disapointment of HL. Safe to say I've been having a blast for weeks! Thanks for the video Retro & have a great day :)
I would like another game but in the Ogaugua school from Natty Onai it would be cool to do spells wandless and transform into animals like her if not I would like a game in the harry Potter time line AND new spells
unluckily because the first one got great intial sales but not a huge lifespan the "shareholders" will push for more moneitization and probably "seasons" to "increase teh lifespan"
Personally i'd actually want to see a game or story based in one of the other magic schools we know about. Hogwarts legacy is great and by far the most definitive version of the castle we'll ever get, but thats just it we've explored it now. Imagine if for a followup they did like ilvermorny legacy with a whole new story there, or one of the other schools. Sure it may not have the "brand recognition" that hogwarts brings, but i do feel hogwarts has been done now so branching out and fleshing out one of the other castles would be more interesting as a fan
Im lowkey obsessed witht he existence of Ilvermorny and im a little sad we never get anything from it. Ofc it had its moment in 2017 after being mentioned in Fantastic Beasts but we deserve more. If we dont get a spinoff featuring other schools (which we should because thats a cool idea), I even think it could be so fun to have a triwizard tournament moment maybe featuring Ilvermorny and another school that we dont know much about. Or maybe a part in the game where our character takes a field trip away from hogwarts to visit one of these other schools. I like your idea and i hope we get something like that
An MMO set in this world would be amazing, although how much variation could there be in classes? Good and dark wizards would basically be the classes.
I want another single player game. I’m sick of mmo games. Hell I’d be fine with making a coop option for 1 or 2 more players and making the game harder when they join.
They shd go like witcher 3 dlcs.. those were amazing. In the same world. And maybe add other locations like london, diagon alley, ministry and azkaban like how touissant was added to give it its last hurrah
I am dreaming of an MMO ever since I knew it existed many years ago. I hope it will come, I'm sure it's going to be massive. I guess Hogwarts Legacy was a test to see how we would react to these kind of games. But we've been begging for years for these games!
I want *Hogwarts Legacy 2* starting from the end of *Hogwarts Legacy,* with continuation of friendships and a brand new main quest, side quests etc. Maybe with travels to other schools. If they add DLCs, I’d probably get them and have new play throughs. Ohhh, do I have to delete one of my characters (out of 4 completed characters, one for each house) for a full play through? I’ll probably bite my tongue and do so. Personally I’m burned on live-services and have very little interest in an MMO. Enough said about that. Edit. What *Hogwarts Legacy* has shown was how irrelevant games ‘journalists’ and game awards are, when the final arbiter are you and me, the gamers.
Excited about the announcements and hints at future content. Hope to see a multi pronged approach. MMO would be perfect as a new addition as it would allow for new content updates regularly. Wonder if it will be funded through microtransactions or if it will be like elder scrolls online with initial upfront sales and subscriptions for cosmetics and quality of life additions.
Honestly, I'm just happy my character can swim in the lake in Hogsmeade. 😅 I pre-ordered the game on Nintendo Switch and waited soooo long for its release, and I must say, it definitely was worth the wait!
game was good sure, but after story endgame feel so boring and flat needs better endgame and bigger map with more side quests and stuff to explore & gain. also replay ability wise more rather do elden ring or cyberpunk then do new save on hogwarts.
A MMO doesn't sound appealing. I'm more interested in the narrative experience and story of a single player game. I feel like Hogwarts will lose it's magic a bit when 100+ players are running through each other and piling around NPCs that just act as quest dispensers.
they could have made the game better, the main story was worse then the side quests, they could have had way mor interactions with teachers and other students and i dont like that every enemy is either a dark wizard or a goblin...
All I want is another game set in the Wizarding World that improves on everything Hogwarts Legacy brought to the table. No MMO. Just another single player experience in the Wizarding World.
The Hogwarts Legacy development team could learn a thing or two from Bethesda about how a good RPG should be done. It felt like they didnt really have a grasp on how important it was to flesh out the world and its characters. You can be your own person in the game but you don't get to create your own persona through making choices outside of the main storyline.
HL2 better not be an MMO. I already HATE the idea that the quidditch game is online only with no singleplayer. We DONT NEED MORE! Also you know exactly why HL wasn't nominated.. JKR did nothing wrong. People just cant stand when their idol for years speaks her mind and has a different opinion than them. such disrespect to the devs who worked on this passion project. Game awards are just as petty and stupid as the Oscars are.
If they do make an mmo for the wizarding world you will need to include just about everything an mmo should have in the game like quidditch, online dueling for the best duelist or a wizarding battlegrounds, crafting and so much more but it could be a great game if they make the game with everything we as fans would want in the game.
An MMO sounds like a ton of fun until you realize how many people would be online. I can’t imagine how laggy that would be on switch 😅 I’d love a way to play with friends though or do dueling competitions
i think they could do so much more if they made games in different wizarding school. i'd love for them to expand on schools that arent durmstrang, hogwarts or beauxbatons
From what I've seen of Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League. I'd rather have ZERO dlc for Hogwarts Legacy and have the devs at Avalanche delivery Hogwarts Legacy 2 in the same vein as the 1st. A open world single player story than have a bunch of live service microtransactions. If they want a MMO Harry Potter fine, just leave the formula for Hogwarts Legacy alone and give us a sequel to Hogwarts Legacy.
I would fork over cash for a few remakes. The last time I played a video game this much was Assassin’s Revelations and Skyrim. This game and the hope of Doors of Stone is Keeping my homemaker life functioning.
If the make a Legacy 2, I would like it to be set back at the founding of Hogwarts, where you play your own character in the first generation of students
I get some want to keep it single player but in this day and age that can only get them so far. This game is good and it sucks to not experience it with friends as much as I like being a loner on some games(especially after losing a bro who love games just as much as me ). I still have the other bros who love and play games too so yeah
I want the game to be a single player game exploring the world by your self is so relaxing but i would also like to see some sort of queueing system added to game for things like Wizards Chess and Dueling to vs other players but having it also in the game and apart of the solo side of the game story exploration ect is also good i cant wait to see what they do next also Harry Potter Magic awakened is a great game to fill in time with heeps of exploration on mobile and also i have done all the content in this game with out spending any money other then buying the very first battlepass.
I really hope they do not waste the time and resources of the talented and passionate people at Avalanche who made Legacy on an MMORPG or any sort of live service game.. Maybe if some other studio does it as you said..
I’d like other enemies than spiders (way too many in HL) in the game such as Vampires, werewolves, hags, obscurios, giants, centaurs, possessed people, cursed objects in homes etc
It's also because this game isn't governed by corporate greed, a battle pass, and you can just focus on having fun and playing the game and story. Not money. And there were so many surprises, such as collections, beasts, and let's not even mention the Room of Requirement. This game was adventure, and just FUN!!
If they did a sequel set when snape, Sirius, etc were at school that would be amazing. Or when riddle was in school. I don’t want an MMO. Or, have a sequel and depending on whether you took the power or not in the first game, let that carry over and you get rad powers if you did

We need an expanded map, more stories (not just one main story), just more DLC for Hogwarts Legacy in general. They're shooting themselves in the foot by not adding any option for dlc with more stories, etc.
I'm still hoping it will happen.
Hoping we do get DLC because so many people r saying there isn't much to do after u beat the main story since there us no postgame.

@@Martyn_WolfI’ve said this too. The world is absolutely gorgeous, but there’s way too much map that serves no purpose. It feels like they cut out magical parts of the castle (where they could have added more castle - hidden passages and such) and added a lot of dead space in the world map.
I could see learning to be an animagus, the patronus charm, and adding additional creatures like dementors as DLC.
Or they judst make a second game?
@@seimen4348 Nah, a game expansion would be so much better. Not every game needs a part 2, if you can just expand the first one
YES DEMENTORS PLEASE! 😂
I was really hoping for the ability to fight dementors when I saw this game begin developing, and while not having that expectation met did not destroy my gaming experience, (far from it in fact), it did make me sad that they didn't go for it.
People understand It’s the developers that prefer mmo’s and their billions of micro transactions.
Don't be that egotistical buddy, we undertstand. We simply think that the game is thrash (good loking thrash). Such a silly lil boy.
@@baronnachor6104👎
People understand. They just also want to be able to go to Hogwarts with their friends. A lot of the players grew up with the world and they want to experience true student life with their friends like they used to play pretend doing as children.
I want an mmo cause it’s fun to play with friends I’m not a loner
What i want from "Hogwarts Legacy":
1. More hairstyles for females.
2. More female voice options.
3. Clothing stores that have colour customization for outfits.
4. Personalities. How a student responds to things is how they respond to them. For example, a female student with a sweet innocent personality to respond to first encounter with Inferi "Oh yuck, what are those things?!"
5. Fix up story with the student's connection with ancient magic. How does Ranrok suddenly become interested in her?
Totally agree, I would also like further customization, for example body type and size
@@themaraccas Most definitely!!
I don't know... you can play Assassin's Creed for that.
the room of requirement having a limit on how many animals it can hold was silly
I hate it so much, the room apparently fits to my needs but i guess not.
They're purposely slowing us down to pad the playtime
No, I do not want an MMO. I want another 100+ hours of a great single player game. The Witcher 3 set in and around Hogwarts.
What about both?!
I'd prefer Baldurs Gate 3 but in the wizarding world
@@RetroRaconteur , we'll see. The "games as a service" model is played out, as far as I'm concerned. I am not interested in an "always-online EA Origin launcher" nightmare. If it's not broke, and HL certainly isn't, then don't fix it.
@RetroRaconteur - no, just single player - I’m not buying an MMO
@@RetroRaconteur I could see co-op mode but no I don't want an MMO. As it is I think someone is already creating a Hogworts School MMO
I want Hogwarts Legacy 2! That takes place in the 1950s and access to Diagon Alley. By the way I'm playing it right now so I wouldn't mind extra content as well so if we get DLC it would be nice.
Oh dear, then we could meet young Voldemort, Tom Riddle😳
This would be cool. We’d also see more familiar names in general
It will not be called Hogwarts Legacy 2.
Just to make everyone uncomfortable, it could be set in the early 1950's and you could end up being Harry Potter's grandparent.
Like bruh there's only like 10 kinds of enemies TOTAL ... I saw more than that in one fuckin movie
I really do hope it isn't going to be an mmo. I feel like HL did so well because it was a single player story. I don't think an mmo would sell so well.
I want a game were you can play as a first year! All the way through 7th year
I want them to do games in all the different magical schools. For example Beauxbatons Legacy or Durmstrang legacy, that would be awesome. There's like 11 magic schools and 8 named schools, so that a potential for another 7 - 10 more games! 😁😆
I agree. I really want to see Uagadou, Natty made it sound so amazing and I MUST see it with my own eyes.
Yes Uagadou Legacy would be incredible and especially since it's meant to be the biggest magical school. So there would be more to explore! @@kiterafrey
@@hiu83d Plus, I really really really gotta learn how to do magic without a wand.
This game is begging for a photo mode, new game plus and definitely some dlc
I would also love to see dueling tournaments expanded upon aswell as the combat arenas
For sure! I've been wanting a photo mode and NG+ for a while now.
photo mode is also on my wishlist.
Agreed. I'm almost sure the devs has a lot lined up for this game in the near future, I look forward to it :)
Not having a NG+ is a huge problem. Unbelievable to me they haven't mentioned it.
@redcenturion88 100% agreed, well there seems to be an update coming soon so let's hope it's good news
Sounds boring
isnt there already a quest there for one of the house specific quests?
@@dominicgoudos5859 you go there as a hufflepuff but you really just walk into a single room and talk to someone before leaving and that's about it lol what I want is a full multi level Azkaban to explore
I want either a very long DLC or a second game set at Uagadou. It sounded so freaking amazing and I want to see it.
I fully agree. I expected to actually have to take classes to expand my skill set.
HWL was one of my favorite games of 2023. Nice to see it become a billion dollar game. Excited for what comes next.
Yeah, hopefully even with a live service push, they let the Avalanche crew focus on what they do best!
I wish they added new game plus for Hogwarts Legacy. Would like to replay the game without doing all the collectables
Same! Would love to see that added.
Would be nice for as a free update.
Oh i wish remaster on HP1 to 3 for PS 5 so bad
I agree - we need to share with a new generation of Harry Potter fans the magic of the HP games we grew up with
A complete remake of the whole series would be absolutely incredible.
i mean Hogwarts Legacy was the best selling game of 2023, beating out both God of War and Spiderman 2, beating game of the year Baulders gate 3 AND it was the studios FIRST AAA game - just imagine what that same studio could do now with the extra funding and the experience
My thoughts exactly. Let Avalanche cook!!!
And with UE5 instead of UE4. Even if they would just port the existing game to that, they would add a lot of value to it.
They should do more than ten variations of enemies this time. The combat system was great but no worthy enemies to use it on them
Seriously. That is the smoothest combat system I’ve ever found. Skyrim is my fave game, but this made Skyrim’s combat look choppy and weak.
I think they need to fix dialogues, repetitive quests, repetitive dungeons, make classes better
BUT…
There is clearly a billion dollar market for single player rpg in the wizarding world.
The game needs a morality system, house points, curfew, etc. that would make this good game great.
Could definitely be cool! Choice for sure needs to actually matter in the sequel.
I loved hogwarts legacy AS a first game. Now I want them to BUILT on it, because if not, i will not be as hyped anymore
I want the next game to focus much less on stuff like ancient magic and prophecies, and instead focus more on stuff like going to class, hanging out with students, extracurriculars, and so on. I want a Hogwarts school simulator, not a high fantasy story about defeating evil.
An expansion would be nice. It's been almost a year now.
I don't care much for the MMOs as I stay away from multiplayer games BUT I would absolutely LOVE a DLC for Hogwarts!
What do we want?
- a year 6 and 7
- a backstory to if our character was a squib or is a muggle born
- DATING.
WHEN DO WE WANT IT
RIGHT 🤬🤬 NOW.
All I really want is a VR version of Hogwarts Legacy. Imagine being able to walk through these halls in VR...
For sure, I would love to see a couple of nice DLC expansions!
I would like another game but in the Ogaugua school from Natty Onai it would be cool to do spells wandless and transform into animals like her if not I would like a game in the harry Potter time line AND new spells
I’d play a hp game set in the 30s-40s during ww2/grindelwald. Seeing Tom riddle’s schooling and upbringing, seeing the magical war on the continent.
Its pretty much a guarentee at this point that there will be many more Wizarding World games, it would be silly not to.
Yes we want a dlc!!! I’m on 49 level and wanna go up!! 😍
unluckily because the first one got great intial sales but not a huge lifespan the "shareholders" will push for more moneitization and probably "seasons" to "increase teh lifespan"
An MMO - of the style of WoW, western and not turn based , if executed well will be insane - it’ll bring two communities together big time
Retro, we are so back! Feels like pre Hogwarts Legacy time again.
Haha, it definitely does, Michael!
I want the mechanics of wand sweeping and stairs , same like in HP 5th game. Where you literally have to throw your mouse around to do spells
You are in the minority.
The way the game ends there is totally going to be a sequel
So hyped for more WW games!
For sure, Joe! Exciting times 😊
What is important seems to be that Hadad said "other things" not "other games". This seems to imply a DLC (I hope!).
Agreed! Not familiar with ESO's business model, but I know that game is highly regarded.
Honestly, I'm just happy my character can swim in the lake in Hogsmeade. 😅
I pre-ordered the game on Nintendo Switch and waited soooo long for its release, and I must say, it definitely was worth the wait!
game was good sure, but after story endgame feel so boring and flat needs better endgame and bigger map with more side quests and stuff to explore & gain. also replay ability wise more rather do elden ring or cyberpunk then do new save on hogwarts.
Game awards are just as petty and stupid as the Oscars are.
an mmo would be interesting, id rather have a coop campaign personally
If they do make an mmo for the wizarding world you will need to include just about everything an mmo should have in the game like quidditch, online dueling for the best duelist or a wizarding battlegrounds, crafting and so much more but it could be a great game if they make the game with everything we as fans would want in the game.
Just expand the combat so it is challenging and rewarding. I want to feel like the greatest wizard of all time by the time I’m done.
Definitely need to see more challenging gameplay!
The first Hogwarts felt Legacy like an MMO so much, so I would accept an MMO Hogwarts Legacy
So, just a thought, but do you believe it’s possible that HL could get FREE smaller DLC content and then larger expansions ? 🤔🤔
Definitely think it's possible!
It's also because this game isn't governed by corporate greed, a battle pass, and you can just focus on having fun and playing the game and story. Not money. And there were so many surprises, such as collections, beasts, and let's not even mention the Room of Requirement. This game was adventure, and just FUN!!
MMO? More like MMNOTGONNAPLAY.
I want a new singleplayer game. Hogwarts Legacy was perfect the way it was, doesn’t need DLC at all!
If they did a sequel set when snape, Sirius, etc were at school that would be amazing. Or when riddle was in school. I don’t want an MMO. Or, have a sequel and depending on whether you took the power or not in the first game, let that carry over and you get rad powers if you did
