This song represents my feelings on the sonic franchise right now...
That the Sonic franchise is forever gonna be in ruins and how it doesnt matter anymore if another shitty game comes out again? Same. Only I've been there since Lost World and Boom in 2013-2014.

I think it's a little too dramatic to say Sonic died and the glory days are over after ONE sort of bad game.
When most franchises have a bad game it's mostly okay but when Sonic does suddently it's the end of the world.

I feel like THIS is the kind of Sonic that SEGA needs to bring back. A version of him who has some more character depth and feelings, not just a joke machine.

I could definitely see Amy singing this while she waits for Sonic to return back to her from one of his long adventures. Maybe she is reminiscing about all the struggles they and their friends have faced throughout the years, but she still remembers Sonic as her blue hero with his humble heart, free-as-the-wind kind of nature, and endearing smile.
And yes, I would LOVE to see more acoustic covers like this one! SEGA needs to hire Emi already! The people she works with makes her voice stand out beautifully.
And absolutely; I MISS this version of Sonic! I don't hate the new Sonic that bad; as I was introduced to Sonic in the 2010s. But I do miss the gentle, humble side to him that gives him his caring heart and character. [I feel that Ryan and Jason's voicing eras show this well.] Express Sonic as who he *really* is at heart, SEGA!
This mix is absolutely beautiful, I must say.
Although I did not grow up with SA1 or SA2 as much, I still respect those games for how legendary they became, among other titles and things in the early 2000s.

There's nothing quite like moving fast, but sometimes, it's better to just slow down, relax, and watch the world go by.
This definitely makes listening to the rain outside more enjoyable.
Sounds like the type of track to play as the hero prepares to head out to a fight he knows he's going to lose, but will still be able to stall for time or distract the enemy. I can just see Kittan walking past Yoko on the Dai Gurren Lagann to pilot his Gunmen directly into the core of that space ocean generator thing.

I imagine this is in a sad scene, where Sonic feels overwhelmed and heavy hearted and feels so stressed that he forgets who he is or why he does things. Then he cries a little bit to help him heal, then as he regains composure and fights like the hero he is even if he may be wrong, because that's who he is. Thanks EmuEmi! 😊

I must say, this is an interesting rendition. It definitely has this quality that reminds me why I love your music because you can make it far from the original sound and manage exceed the original. This really brought a smile to my face as there is a sense of nostalgia that is conveyed perfectly through this and so I must say thank you for what you do and I can't wait does the next song that makes me teary eyed ^w^
