The thing that always bothered me the most about the complaints Sonic was getting at the time was that it was always complaints about what WAS there. Not what wasn’t… so, everything got stripped down and simplified, resulting in the 2010’s games we got. Could some of the decisions made in the 2000’s been fleshed out and reached more potential? Yes, absolutely. But throwing it all away wasn’t the answer… the internet literally bullied Sega and Sonic Team into sacrificing their creativity. It’s no different from an art teacher saying your work is no good because it’s not what they said you should make. That’s how I see it, at least. I’m glad Sonic Frontiers is looking promising so far, and I hope that trend continues to evolve.

When I saw the notification for this, my face lit up so bright and I was like "No, stinking, WAY!" This is really hard for me to type because of how vulnerable I am right now... At the time I'm writing this, I just received news about my older sister, my eldest sibling, will be passing away later today. For the past week and a half, she's been hospitalized from a severe car accident. My optimism for her recovery shattered when I heard the news, and I've obviously been a wreck for the past hour. I'm not here for sympathy points or for anyone's pity. I was desperately thinking of something to help alleviate the pain in my heart. I'm here because Sonic has been a role model for me for over almost 2 decades. I desperately needed something, some advice or... i don't know. just SOMETHING. i needed this. the message in the song. They were, needless to say, not very kind to me and would always push me around. Luckily, through me meeting her, I also met her friend, who acted as emotional support and I even ended up dating him for a bit. Now, I'm with someone even better and I can look back at that and chuckle a bit. I know issues like that aren't ones to take lightly, but I'm just glad that it's over.
