I know this is an old video but I just wanted to let you know how helpful your videos have been to me lately. I am at the end of a difficult pregnancy with baby number 6 and a homeschool momma to 5 kids 6 and under. It has been so inspiring and encouraging to hear your tips and learn from your experiences. Thanks a ton for your content.

Getting up early is the hardest thing and I love being reminded it’s worth while and that I’m not alone in the trenches thank you for your ministry to all of us ❤

Awesome video friend, this one has been in my notes section to do for awhile! Strengthening Self discipline has changed my life in many facets.

Great points! I feel my hardest are advanced prep, and self care. I also noticed that screen time worked against us, and adjusted expectations in order to earn screen time after work was finished. That's helped quite a bit☺

When you said academics I know exactly what you meant but something made me want to look up the word to see what it actually means, and when I saw the definition I was shocked. It basically means not of practical use, based on theory.lol. That really cracked me up. Studying is learning through reading books and thatis so funny to me because literally that is what school is yet it never crossed my mind that academics meant that. School is a place that they teach you by reading books and forcing you to remember the facts by grading you on your ability to do this. The theory must be that if you read something without doing it you can learn. Which is true with certain things but I would rather call the learning I desire for my children, life skills learning.

Yep with the screen, same here, mood depressor for me and mood dragger downer. I thought it was just me!! I am so distracted. For so long without such things bringing it into your life you know the difference others don't know because they haven't been without it.

I think I need to spend time thinking about what my end of day reward would be 😊 I’ve never thought about that! Love this, thank you 💖

Our rule is no TV or screens until after 4:00 pm. But usually they forget to watch some thing until later.
Random question not related to this video. Whay do you and your kids do when you go to the beach? We live 45 minutes from the beach, we dont go often but my limit is 3 hours, and the kids just play in the water or sand, but I get bored, even though I LOVE the beach.

Love this video! I'm curious if you have any suggestions on supplements you've found helpful. Currently pregnant with our 4th and I can feel it more this time.......

Great video. It's interesting too me that all of your points were exactly what I found to be true when I was a teacher in an elementary school. Whether you are teaching one or 32 children, these tips are perfect. - Jerusha

Emily P. Freeman has a blog and book titled The Next Right Thing - you would love listening to her! She has the most soothing voice, and she ends every episode with a beautiful prayer.

Love this! Any tips for surviving the newborn season? Baby #4 is two months old and not sleeping well. I can't get up before the kids these days and it's really killing our homeschool day and making me crazy 😕

Same here! Just keep swimming. Try to do school when baby sleeps and I’ve done school in pjs before too. It won’t always be like this. We also school really late until 5pm sometimes bc mornings just don’t happen with sleepy mom and baby up three times a night.

They’re very active in karate, dance, etc., and love playing outdoors, swimming, biking with neighborhood friends, reading, crafting, drawing, etc. There’s literally never a dull moment around here 🤣
