For those of you concerned that the books are out of print many of these books are back in print and can be purchased on amazon. I’m using volume 1 with my kindergartener was able to purchase all the books used in the volume. The publisher is called Purple House Press and they have put a lot of the FIAR books back in print so now is the time to grab them if you want to build a stellar library.
Someone gave me a copy of volume 1 6 years ago when my boys were 5 and 3; but I never really understood how to go about using it...I felt so lost; so we just read the books we could get from the library that were on the list. I wish there wouldn't been someone like you around at the time to help me understand the point and how to use it! Thanks for sharing! I hope others enjoy it as much as you did!

My girls grew up with five in row (my oldest is 13), and we still revisit our favorites. We’re currently on vacation and just got back from visiting a cranberry bog before watching this. Some many of those books have become apart of our family traditions. My youngest is a little old for bfiar and a little young for traditional FIAR, so we may dip our toes in their newest more before FIAR curriculum that just came out.
Mmmm ok I'm taking the plunge and buying Cranberry Thanksgiving for November. We've never rowed that one but have to now since you said it was such a favorite.♥️

My kids are 8, 10, 12. Would the be too old for this? Also, how could I make it work only a few times a week? We wouldnt be able to do this everyday.
I did before five in a row when my daughter was three. Now she is five and has a little brother who is almost three. I'm torn between doing BFIAR again or moving up to FIAR. Any thoughts? She's already doing school with me and had some enrichment classes so everything is kind of geared toward her right now...
It is so precious to me too. Those memories of my five year old who is now thirteen are so sweet. We used to do it after public school with a little snack before we homeschooled. When his sister was born one of the first things he told her was that she would do five in a row in the backyard and start with ping!
Can you use it for multiple children? I.e.6 year old, 8 year old, and 9 year old?
