    I love that you share multiple ways you use poetry teatime in your homeschool. Thanks for letting me join you!

    I love this! I tend to over complicate things in our homeschool and put it off until it’s “perfect” and then we never end up doing it. It’s so nice to hear that you incorporate it so simply.

    I am a Little Debbie Cakes and milk kind of mom for Poetry Tea Time 😂
    We set up the table. Its pretty but very simple. Our center piece usually tells what our theme is. ☺

    I’m so in love with this! 😍I have 3 VERY active boys 6 and under so I’m thinking that an outdoor tea party would be out biggest hit. We do lunches like that quite often so I’m so excited to try this!

    I have never wanted to do this until now! I think I will start doing it with my girls once a month. They are 5 and 13 so it would create fun memories!

    You should try Sheree Fitch's book of poetry entitled, Toes in My Nose.

    YES! Same here about a great idea, but making it your own. Maybe it's a common characteristic of CM homeschoolers. Haha. :)

    This was fantastic! Thanks for sharing! ❤️ we do the second more often here. I’d like to plan ahead a bit more to do the first theme kind of ones. My kids always enjoy seeing those videos.

    We have been doing this for the past year with a little kid tea set, but I want to upgrade. Do you mind sharing where your pitcher, plates, and tea set are from?

    • @RootedinRest
      @RootedinRest  4 роки тому

      They all vary...the cups and saucers are amazon, the plates are walmart, and the pitcher is homegoods!

    I hope you didn't say this already but how long does your poetry teatime last? Like a half hour/ an hour? What? No tea? What about sweet iced tea? LOL

    • @RootedinRest
      @RootedinRest  4 роки тому +1

      Sometimes upwards of an hour, most of the time about 15 minutes, lol! I don't push. Just enjoy their company as long as they can sit still. Annie runs off first, and the rest follow shortly after. Bella most often stays behind and reads some on her own.

      HAAAAAAAAA sweet tea and my kids would be self sabotage. We still haven't introduced caffeine into their diets and I don't plan to anytime soon haha.
