Biofuel might not be an efficient and sustainable energy souce but it is one of the transitionary energy sources and We require this to meet some of our energy needs. As our economy grows at a 8-9% moving forward, We will become second largest energy consumer in the world. Purchasing 85% of crude 50% of LNG and 15% of coal from abroad will certainly off balance fiscal situation. That's why We need renewable alternative energy sources ASAP.

He not only stated and defended Indian position but also criticized the host's blindness and arrogance for looking at the world problems with the euro / American lens.
