I have been on medication for generalized anxiety for YEARS. My doctor has told me that I will be for the rest of my life. I was close to a breakdown before I was able to retire from teaching last May. I have been so much happier since.

Yes, I’ve had more than one job like that. I retired early the last one was so abusive and stressful. During the last year I worked there I developed high blood pressure, had constant headaches, lost weight and dreaded going to work. I felt like apologizing for showing up most days. So glad I’m done. Corporate jobs in America are pretty awful in my experience.

the ring is stunning I was in the military for 10 years as a cook I quit I couldn't handle cooking I was cooking for over a 1000 people I did everything myself cleaned 2 field kitchens sent haybox meals out in the field for the troops I didn't have any health problems I just couldn't do it any more I was so tired etc here's a big hug for you from me hi to the family take care your friend forever phil

My past job caused me to have a mental breakdown & I was diagnosed with chronic depression, it was such a horrible time in my life & everything felt so dark. It took a lot of therapy, medications, sleeping tablets & finally quitting to start on the journey to regaining all the qualities I love about myself. Leaving was THE best decision i ever made but it took me 3 years to gather the courage to quit. Some people dont understand how much a toxic job can destroy you. Everything you said resonated. Hugs 🩷

Ha ha ha ha exactly lol. Well my beautician helped me to learn how to do them during Covid so it really helped me. I find it very therapeutic to do them myself xx
@VictoriaMaclean it is important to have me-time in our busy lives. It forces us to slow down and be present in the now. Which can be surprisingly difficult.
