    I felt everything Rogan said. I got out the army to be a civilian because I had a daughter. I haven’t been happy since the day I left . I worked my ass off and did a lot of shit a lot of people wouldn’t do to earn my rank to let it all go. I have bo meaning. “I quit what I’m good at to do something that I suck at to try and make a living”! That shit hits home.

    I'm so glad they had this follow up conversation.
    It created a satisfying closure to the intervention video.
    Seeing Brendan reflect on it now also serves as a lesson for many people like him. It's relatable to anybody who has a pipe dream but maybe has to be realistic up to a certain time to let it go, or transfer your skills to a new art/job. It's easier said than done, because of ego/identity and /or being young.

      That might be part of the problem, though. He "made it" before he was ready for the limelight. It's maybe odd to begrudge someone their success and say, "He succeeded too early", but I feel that letting a skill develop more and taking things slow can play a big role in longevity, perception, and being able to control the narrative around oneself.

    My dad always told me, "The man in the mirror is the last one to know." I think that's the case here. Brendan needed Joe to give it to him, no bs, and he did. I think he's better off now and he seems to be enjoying life better.

    UFC wont be the same without Joe Rogan. I learnt alot about fight styles just by listening to him. No one breaks down technicality of fights better than him. Good for Brendan for taking solid advice from Joe.
