For anyone that says these aren't a "Real" jeep, why not give your definition of a real Jeep? A stock Renegade Trailhawk is 100% real Jeep. Extremely capable in stock form and makes a wonderful daily driver. Drove mine from Missouri to Utah. Went to Moab and did Fins & Things, Hells Revenge and Poison Spider trails. NO Issues getting through the trails even on the stock tires. Good for most any trail I can think of up to about a 6 rating.
Slap some rock rails and better tires on it, and it will go places most people wouldn't believe it can go to.
Considering they want your first born for a wrangler ...this has suddenly become a player..
Well considering it’s a Fiat with a “Jeep” body is why it’s not a “real” Jeep.
Renegades might not be "real" Jeeps, but Wranglers aren't either.
Jeep is a Zombie brand that has been bought and sold multiple times and is now owned by a multinational conglomerate.
Jeep still sells some of the best offroad products in each class the are in, which is good, but they certainly are not as American or patriotic as the flags plastered all over them suggest
Every off road videos of the Jeep Renegade Trailhawk I have seen so far are incredible! I always enjoy watching them. It truly shows how capable they are. This adorable Jeep deserves ALL the attention and love.
I like these. Cool little SUV. Nice interior and capable. Funny to hear the popcorn pops when you rev’d it. Not big on the taillights but overall looks solid.
I have a 21 Renegade Trailhawk with the 1.3 turbo. Its been a great little suv. Ive had no problems and its very capable, offroad, for what its. Is it a wrangler....no, but its not meant to be. Its a great daily driver.
My wife recently bought a 2017 latitude edition renegade. She loves it, coming from a 2012 Jeep liberty. I’ve driven it a few times, I like the little thing. It drives smooth, a little nutless, but didn’t buy it to rip around in.
We have taken it on a few long trips, and we were comfortable and impressed with the fuel mileage. The size is shocking as well. Interior feels bigger than it looks
V8 swap it lol
I have a 2004 Liberty and would not replace it with the Renegade. Love that V-6, gobs of power, more room and far more rugged.
I had a 2014 Renegade and I really liked it, it was a fun little SUV.
In Brazil. this car has full led lights and a panoramic sunroof. Full Digital instrument panel and different steering wheel.
i ordered one exactly as the one you have here, trailhawk in solar yellow in early february form my local jeep dealer in Quebec, Canada ( Kennebec dodge chrysler ) , it should be shipped soon from the Melfi factory in Italy ( one of the worlds most advanced and sophisticated ). I love the boxy looks of the renegade, the smell of italian cars when they are new, its 4x4 capability, reasonable fuel economy ( considering its weight, its less than aero looks, agressive tires and a final drive ratio of 4,60 ), a price that is competitive for the equipment you get, the yellow color is very nice too ( i hate grey cars, the looks so dull ) with a tiny 1,3 L turbo engine that develops as much torque ( for its size naturally ) than a v8 hellcat. Now some of you be afraid about long term reliability for this motor, but this engine is not a simple 4 cylinder that received a turbo, it has been specially modified and strenghten for the added horsepower and torque. I have owned 3 turbo fours from chrysler and all were flawless, no problems whatsoever. As a matter of fact i have driven different chrysler products all my life over a million miles and the reliability was very very impressive. Good review M. Hardy, keep the good work.
These are great little cars, no it’s not a wrangler. But it’s also a lot easier to live with daily. If you have adverse weather but don’t want to be hardcore off roading, it’s fantastic
I once owned a Pontiac vibe that was made in Canada by Toyota so what's the point cars are made everywhere, I test driven a Ford Bronco sport & the Renegade limited. I found them both nice & fun to drive but i went with the jeep
Hey Ben! I've watched several of your videos and like your commentary. Just a suggestion... would prefer you slow your speech a little. But no worries. Good reviews overall.
Of course it's a real cheap it's very capable it has really good off-road angles that has BLD the only complaint that I have about the renegade is it needs a little bit more power in the low range.... If they just added a better low range to it and/or added a rear locker it would be a monster.
Dont look at the ground clearance numbers, it doesn't tell the real story. You need to look at approach, departure and breakover angles when comparing bronco sport with renegade Trailhawk.
I got a 2023 Renegade Latitude, with the upland edition.. Same rims, color, lift.
I just bought the 2024 Renegade altitude,
The turbo lag isn't a problem for me, i mean its not built for racing,
amd of you take off from a stop sign/light like a normal person you dont get the lag.
The problem today is, there aren't many "normal" people, amd everyone jusy stomps on the gas from a stopped position.
👍👍
Stomp the gas, floor it all the way up to the minimum stopping distance, slam the breaks at the next intersection.
"EPA estimates are a lie"
Meanwhile I just drive casually and like "I'll get there when I get there" and meet or beat EPA living 1000ft above sea level in the Appalachian mountains.
@@AHungryHunky I live in a very small town, people around here and even the surrounding towns drive the speed limit.. even the kids.
It's a very different world when you don't live in the hustle n bustle.. and I love it.
@warthogA10 I have an unfortunate situation where I live in an old small town where streets are on the narrower side (cars parked on both sides means opposing traffic has to duck into empty spaces to allow eachother to pass).
Our cost of living is very low, but the town is still nice enough and we are not far from the rising costs of the city so we have a lot of city and suburban flight moving in and bringing the "me first" attitude with them. It's not infrequent that I see someone in a top trim SUV or pickup going at least 35 down the street that is capped at 25 but really should be 15 due to how oncoming traffic must share the center.
you didnt show the 120v outlet in the back seat
Turbo-lag… maybe tuning this car will help with overall performance and gas mileage also… Out of the factory all cars are regulated by emission law, not optimal engine performance…. Have a good one! 👍
It’s cute. I like it. 💯💯💯💯🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
The Updated Renagade For North America And Other Non South American Markets Will Be Unvelied Later This Year.
I wonder if #Jeep is going to refresh this or cancel it ⁉️
Speaking of turbo lag, have you driven the VW Taos?? Yikes, mine is horrible turbo lag, it’s very annoying
These use to go all the time for $16k new. If they still did they'd be selling like hotcakes. Nobody wants to give over $30k for one of these
Individual air pressure tire monitoring?
2023 Jeep Renegade BU Trailhawk 1.3L Turbocharged 4-Cylinder 9-Speed Automatic 4X4!
To many gears, not enough liters.
5:47 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Quick tip to the channel: Slow down your speech. Listen to the video in slow speed, you’ll notice you rush through words and end up slurring them together. Speed means nothing if you’re sacrificing clarity. Thx for the review regardless. I love my TJ wrangler and want a suitable modern replacement. The new wranglers have lost the plucky buddy vibe and replaced it with a more HUMMER ethos, which i dont care for. I firmly believe the soul of the TJ went into the renegade.
The interior is by far the best about this vehicle. I can’t seem to like the body design
Why on earth does this vehicle or any vehicle need a 9 speed transmission.. So the shifting is smoother while people TikTok? That’s a fair trade for reliability.
Fuel economy
My 2015 Trailhawk needs the 9 speed transmission in order to have enough mechanical gear reduction at 20:1 in first gear, coupled with 2:1 torque multiplication from the torque converter, to be able to do "Jeep Things" and it does those "Jeep Things" almost shockingly well. A lot of Wrangler owners wouldn't even find the off-pavement limits of a Renegade Trailhawk if they had one, let alone test the limits of stock Wrangler capability off-pavement.
Having lived with my Renegade, I'd rather have it's 9 speed automatic than a four-speed outo and a two-speed transfer case because there's less "parasitic drivetrain loss" so more engine power gets to the wheels and that effeciency translates into increased fuel economy,
I had a Suzuki Samurai new in 1987. Stock for stock, my Renegade is better in every conceivable way, on pavement and off-pavement, while getting better fuel economy in the city, on the highway, and even on the trail.
Blown around on the highway ?
Beautiful 🤩
How bo BGVRP for my iPad 8 bro good bey rbi have a good day
my 2021 was a lemon. but when it ran i liked it. though gas tank needs to be bigger and should all come with a hitch
I think I would pick the Bronco Sport over this.
Why is the Bronco preferable?
Ok, watch Scotty Kilmore and you will never touch a Bronco. Ford (fix or repair daily, or found on road dead). Lots of serious problems associated with the FORD Bronco. Never buy ford, American Junk made in Mexico.
How much are they?
The bronco is cool but is another category, is a "big" suv compared to the renegade. Is like comparing a Volkswagen Passat to a Mercedes E class. It makes no sense
Bronco has to be lifted probably 3 inches to hit the angles that the stock renegade Trailhawk hits. Depends on what you're doing. For dirt roads and snow, yeah I'd pick the bronco sport. For stuff where you might scrape your bumpers that's not super steep hills, renegade would be way better.
There is a reason Jeep mechanics call them Grenades instead. lol Ask, I am not making this up.
Renegade owners, tell us what you love most about your trusty Jeep!
1. Love the look/style
2. Very comfortable
3. Has very subtle/passive but appreciated features like auto dimming rearview mirror, auto windshield wipers, auto climate, etc.
4. Lane keep works very well
5. HVAC works very quickly, as does heated seats and steering wheel.
6. Panoramic sunroof is awesome.
7. Very capable for what is is off-road.
8. Lots of space
9. Fairly quiet interior for a box, even at speeds of 50+mph.
10. Build quality seems VERY sturdy, not many creeks or rattles.
Where to begin?
I have a 2015 Trailhawk. The combination of highway manners and off-pavement trail capability really hits a functionality sweet-spot for me. This thing will go places that will have an inexperienced passenger wanting a spatula to pry their puckered ass off my upholstery, but on the long highway runs involved in my getting to those places, it is perfectly comfortable. and far more comfortable on the highway than my TJ Wrangler I had was.
Mine has been exceptionally durable, too. It has only had oil and filter changes, the spark plugs and coils changed at 100K, and a new set of 225 /65/ 17 Falken Wild Peak tires, most recently. Aside from a little minor "pinstriping" from brush while running BLM and Forest Service trails in it, it looks and functions as good now with 136,000 miles on it as it did when new.
Getting the level of off-pavement capability the thing has while also getting 29-30 mpg on long highway runs was pretty damn priceless when gas was $3.80 per gallon a short while ago.
35 grand for that? NO!
you guys can see here. you guys can see. you can seeeeeee.
Thank God no dial for the transmission-they looks so cheap
Engine is kind of thrashy
Super car
There’s NO backseat A/C vents!!!! No no no
There are vents under the front seats but it's also very small car so you don't really need them

Extremely nice presentation
Bro put a band aid on that thing before it gets infected

Right, interior looks so 2010 - 2015
@@marcusvision in a bad way. Its good its all physical but quality is hediously bad. Subaru is much better in 1st gen 2012-2017 crosstreks.

Fiat Jeep! Blechhhh
It's a Fiat 500.........Junk.
Lol, in which universe a 500 is junk? You know nothing about cars, that's one of the most sold cars ever
33k for this?....they are crazy.....
Sorry to say gone are the days where you can get a vehicle between $15,000-20,000. This just isn't the case anymore. Everything is more expensive today.
@@ducktails1695sure but Stelantis went insane in recent years. They have increased their MSRP’s by around 50% in the last 5 years. They are absurdly overpriced and not selling at the time of my comment.
Jeep should stop making cars altogether. JUNK.
Did you drive one?
Lol I am sure you own a German (ops made in china car) or even worse... A tesla
talking too fast
This guy talks waaaaaaaay too fast.
Nice daily driver ,not a real jeep,
If you define a real Jeep as a Wrangler then yes the answer is obviously no. Otherwise the renegade trailhawks are highly underrated offroad. I own both.
Really? I have a 2016 trailhawk and it's gone from mountains to beaches and trail with 105k and counting....
I am at almost 200,000 and I beat it up down mountain roads every weekend@@middleageguy
@@ErinHayner-y5e honestly I think most people complain about actual maintenance that has to be done on ANY vehicle
