    I just finished Lewis's Babbitt yesterday! I feel like it showed the opulence of 20's America better than Gatsby, if only because it showed it through the lens of the "regular guy", the middle class that we see around us every day, rather than Fitzgerald's mega-rich characters.

    "Gideon Planish" by Sinclair Lewis is not a product of the 1920's. It was published in 1942. The book the program should have listed by Lewis was "Arrowsmith."
