Lyrics
It's been a long year since you've been gone
I've been alone here, I've grown old
Fall to pieces, I'm falling
Fell to pieces and I'm still falling
Every time I'm falling down
All alone, I fall to pieces
I keep a journal of memories
I'm feeling lonely, I can't breathe
Fall to pieces, I'm falling
Fell to pieces and I'm still falling
Every time I'm falling down
All alone, I fall to pieces
Every time I'm falling down
All alone, I fall to pieces
Every time I'm falling down
All alone, I fall to pieces
All the years I've tried with more to go
Will the memories die, I'm waiting?
Will I find you, can I find you?
We're falling down, I'm falling
Every time I'm falling down
All alone, I fall to pieces
Every time I'm falling down
All alone, I fall to pieces
Every time I'm falling down
All alone, I fall to pieces
Every time I'm falling down
All alone, I fall to pieces

Sadly Scott fell to pieces one last fatal time. This song is still haunting and powerful 7 years later. Scott's voice and Slash's beautiful guitar riffs create a masterpiece rock ballad which stands the test of time. Velvet Revolver one of the last great rock bands. Gone but never forgotten, Scott.
I fall to pieces as well...
Beautiful Post By You........😉😉😝😉
How does this not have more l8kes when it rings so true... humannbeings suck lol but could be so much more if we just connect and band together
Growing up in the 80's -90's, I was a huge STP fan. I was very lucky to see them while touring in the SF bay Area in the early 2000's. Something I will always cherish as I believe this was one of their last times on stage together. ♥
This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” or “The Wave Acoustic” by SLT 🤘🐺
Scott Weiland...Chris Cornell...Layne Staley...Some of the most beautiful voices we were privileged to hear...god bless you!!! We miss you!!!
All of them was killed by drogs! Fxxxing drogs kill the best, except for Ozzy !
YOU ARE RIGHT, MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The guy from Blind Melon
eddie needs to lock himself in a box. hes the last one
Amen brother
This song speaks to the pain a lot of people are going through, no matter what they they are struggling with. it just touches the soul on every level
So freaking true!
Yup. Me
Yes. Lost our son to suicide. This song means the same for those who make the choice to end their lives slowly, all at once, and for those who were left behind. A rare song that covers all.
His pain was way different.....addiction to heroin.

For all those people with drugs problems from phylyy
I've commented a few times about this. I can't get over how good he was. Best voice ever. RIP Scott.
Really sad what drugs can do to a beautiful human being. RIP Scott.
No better front man...solid like a rock
I was in high school in 94 and I know what you mean. Life has gone by and I'm awake at 4 am feeling lonelier than I've ever felt. And I'm glad that there are other people who love that music and this too. Some consolation.
Hope you saw him live! STP AMAZIN!

That union of duff with Scott when he was falling to pieces is priceless….. 😢 everyone needs a friend like Duff 🤘
I can't believe they made a video like this and Scott died because of drugs 😢 it's a hard video to watch
"Duff" type guy has definitely been in my corner ! God bless the Duffs
@@user-ps4sq4qy2fhe always seemed like one of the good ones. Still does. And just went about quietly doing his job. Maybe that saved him.
Slash was spot on “I just thought he was a great singer, and he'd always been on my mind for this band. He was the one vocalist that I knew had the kind of voice that would serve what we were going to do: he had a John Lennon-ish quality, a little bit of Jim Morrison, and a touch of almost David Bowie. He was the best singer to come out in a long time in my opinion."
RIP Scott
Too bad his demons caught up to him.
SCOTT WEILAND one of the greatest singers in the history
+Señor Pinochin performer as well....could watch hours of his live performances
+Señor Pinochin "in the history" of what? *HISTORY!* That's right.
+Muzikrazy213 scott weiland live performances werent usualy very good
+ohinek007 You clearly know nothing. Besides his incredible voice, he was globally known for his energy-filled performances. Always moving, never stopping. Unless you saw him live and he was already being drowned by the Shit and you didn't think you got your money's worth (which I would completely understand), I and most other STP, VR, AoA, Wildabouts and Scott Weiland fans have no clue what the hell you are talking about.
+Muzikrazy213 Scott, Levon Helm, Steve Perry, and maybe David Coverdale are the only singers I have *ever* heard who sound better live than they do with studio magic. Even as utterly fantastic as singers like Robert Plant, Freddie Mercury and Chris Cornell are, they don't sound nearly as good live as what they sound in studio. Scott, and very few others, however, sounded absolutely amazing live. Let me add in T. Graham Brown, as well, as one who sounded tremendous live, even better than in the studio. Though since he's an old-timer country artist, not too many know about him. I remember being a teenager and everybody losing their shit over Nirvana's Unplugged in New York performance. It's okay; I enjoy listening to it. But I think it really paled in comparison to STP's Unplugged. And to hear Scott sing Interstate Love Song live, where he goes more melodic with it -- it's one of the best voices in rock and roll to hear him live, so I agree: As a fan, I don't know WTF this dude's even talking about.
my wife just celebrated 2 years off of heroin September 16th. it's possible if you want it bad enough and have strong people in your life. she's a miracle.
Congrats to her and you, wishing you all the best
That's huge. Major props to your wife and yourself. I hope you are both doing well.
no matter what shitty symptoms, there will be the day, that none of them exist, and, then enjoy life! ..not a shortcut to death and sorrow..

Beautiful song, I can totally relate to the words. My wife passed away 3 years ago, been a long time I guess, but I'll never be over it completely.♥️🙏
My husband died 5 years ago last Christmas. He basically drank himself to death. No, I'm not over it. Guilt, anger, sadness, all at once. And this song, and soooo many others, make me think of him every time.
I am so sorry for your loss. You feel how you feel. Don't ever feel ashamed to feel how you feel. Life does go on, and it tends to feel a little bit lighter with each year. Just remember, we don't know what tomorrow will bring, but be ready for it. Your wife is watching over you and wants good things for you.🙏🏻💜😇
Love of my life passed away in 2015, It never seems like that long ago! I just had to lay our pup down April 1st of this year. I can tell you, you'll never get over it completely. My sincere condolences
God bless it's ok
Sorry for your loss. From 1 old rocker to another.
That is still awfully fresh man. My God Bless you and your remaining journey :')
5 years ago today you left us Scott. Where ever you are, know that we're still listening to your music, and will do so, until we join you.
OMG yes I'm listening today he was so good, so missed.
Scott, Chris Cornell, Layne Staley, Chester....They all left this world far too soon but not before leaving their mark and their legacy. I am just grateful for the fact that I got to witness their amazing talent. We were all very lucky to be a part of this era of music ....it was epic and they were fucking musical masters. I truly hope u all found peace. Just know that you will 4-Ever be in our Hearts and Always on our Minds. R.I.P ......Your Eternal Fan...M.S.

I miss him so much. Was lucky enough to see him. One time with STP. He came out on stage wearing a pink feather boa. Dancing..he ruled that stage. I will NEVER FORGET IT. RIP Scott. Love this song SO MUCH. We have your music always.
scott's one of rock's best vocalist.
This song and particularly the part of the video where Duff tries to lift him up and just holds Weiland and let’s him know that he’s not alone breaks my heart every time I see it. Scott Weiland is never forgotten…❤️

It just rips my heart out.

I love this video. Its actually full of love, unconditional love for Scott. It actually gives me the warm and fuzzies. Not just because the ending is on a happier level, but I love how Duff is the one guy who seems to care enough for Scott and is the only guy to step up and help him. I know it is just a video but I think it really hits home with Scott's journey especially his did fall to pieces one last time but not having that Happy Ending.
For how he cleaned up his lifestyle when GnR was "imploding". Duff' is an awesome role model for the people around him.
Yeah, if you read Duff's "its so easy" he really did try with Scott. mut have broken his heart that it didn't work.
Duff took Scott to yoga classes I believe or something like that to help him with his addiction. Sadly we all know it didn't work 😢 Scott was gone too soon, he was really talented
Didn’t he have cancer also??? I hate, loathe, & despise Cancer!!! I am still in remission from breast cancer,,, but just as my fight was winding down, my husband was diagnosed & I lost him 2 years later. He was an awesome guitarist also. He was a music teacher but Always played in bands. Our Son is also a great guitarist. He’s had to quit playing in bars & such because of his day job. He’s president of two branches of a college now. I can’t wait to hear him out playing again. If wifey lets him. That’s a whole different story. But This Band Rocks!!! Love ❤️ them & ive only heard this song. I fully intend to change that!!!
Rip Scott. You will be missed, thanks for all the music

Rest well my friend. God knows you needed it. Thanks for the great songs through the years. My deepest condolences to your family and loved ones Scott. God speed brother! See ya when I get there! 😎👍
+Jason LovesABR Thanks Jason. I'm actually doing well. I've been clean now for 13 years, 2 months and 12 days...but just because I'm clean doesn't mean that it's not a daily war I wage with my addiction. It will be with me until the day I die. Hopefully that will be many years from now and of natural causes and not an OD. But I have no delusions that I'm exempt. I could take a fix any day just like the next guy. Thanks again though for asking. To Scott's loved ones...know that he loved you guys with all his heart and his battle was no reflection of yours or his love for one another. Peace.
I could only imagine the struggle he went through and your still battling. Think the hardest part is keeping the straight and narrow when there's always a way to stray. Oh man, this is a hard watch. What a terribly sad song, yet it has this wonderous uplifting feel to it. Amazing.
Everybody talks about the energy released when Slash turns his guitar vertical but hot damn the energy when Scott holds that microphone up in the air and sings straight up into it! RIP Scott.
Dude I totally agree! This song is so freaking powerful it punnches me in the gut and makes so many emotions come crashing down as I was there just like him and others on that stage. I won though, RIP Scott!!

Scott was the best
Honestly, Scott Weiland is one of the best musicians to come out of the 90s, in my opinion. STP is so underrated. I remember the first time I heard "Interstate Love Song", I got lost in one of the trances you get into when you hear really good music. It was like time stopped. The chorus gives me goosebumps to this day when I hear it. Weiland's vocals were amazing. His vocals are amazing on Core and Purple, and his stage presence was even better. My dad had the honour and privilege to see STP open up for the Rolling Stones in Toronto around the time Core came out. He said that's one of the best opening performances he has ever seen, and he's seen a lot over his years. Now I've never got the opportunity to see STP or Scott Weiland live, but I have had the pleasure of listening to all his music. I was reading Slash's book not to long ago. He talked about the formation of Velvet Revolver, and his mission to recruit Scott Weiland as their lead singer. At the time Scott just got booted from STP and he was at a very dark time in his life, than he joined VR and just put his heart and soul into this song. I remember Iron Mike from 97.7 htz fm playing this song, and I just was thinking, "Man that's sad, but it's music for the broken souls". It just goes to show how brutal life can be, and how hard certain problems in can be to overcome. As an artist he expressed his emotions the way most humans wished they could. Yes, Weiland had his fair share of problems, but when you take the time to look at his discography spanning through his entire career, you'll find that Scott Weiland is a masterful poet with an amazing voice. He was a great guy but he problems kept him down. Scott Weiland died too soon, but his music will live on forever. And this song is an everlasting testament to that. This song shows of the struggles that he was going through and another reason why one should not judge a person based on the struggles that brought them down, but rather take time to put themselves in that persons shoes and take a minute to see what they are really going through before saying, "eh he's a druggie. He was only good in the 90s and I'm surprised he lasted that long". RIP Scott
Very underrated. I agree.
Sometimes, most times, all the time... I don't feel like my heart can contain the beauty and the tragedy that is Scott Weiland.
very well said bud
The Teenage Sports Guru I really enjoyed reading this. Scott is my favourite singer ever, I miss him so much.
Stone Temple Pilots have sold more than 40 million records. They are not underrated in the least.
This music and video are a pure masterpiece. So much heartfelt emotion. I feel this mans pain. Similar to some Alice and Chains and Guns and Roses songs. There's no faking it. It's these men's pure emotions that we all feel at times poured out in beautiful music. Thank you Velvet Revolver...
God, I miss this guy. His voice everything about him. I just miss him so much. What a force.

This song saved my life.
I had a major flare up with my Crohn’s disease 10 years ago. The doctors gave me a 20 percent chance of surviving. I weighed 4 stone 2 pounds at the age of 16. Still to this day, the doctors don’t know how I survived as my body was shutting down. I knew I was dying, but I listened to this song on repeat for 3 days, and I survived💙
Keep rocking!!
❤
That is just so wonderful!
Blessed be, dear One, blessed be.
May the rest of your journey be smooth.
Thank you for your kind reply, I’m still battling but I’m staying strong!!💙
Congrats on your survival
This song makes me so emotional.... It's Jan 25 2022 n I still listen to it everyday. Love it. Rip Scott
❤️🔥
🥰🥰
Fucking wyland . Geez
Slash had no easy go. Jesus Christ.
Katy Feb 5th 22. I am drunk and going threw all of my fav songs and came across your Comment.. Katy Clearly you are Falling to Pieces For what ever reason, If ya need some help or just to chat shoot me a message.. I grew up STp , Pearl Jam, Velvet. Not trying to Judge maybe need a chat from another fan..
Shout out to the people that feels the lyrics in their soul
You'd have to be a narcissist or psychopath to not be able to feel the emotions Weiland laid bare all over the stage. The guy was one cuddly, needy, touchy-feely emotionally vulnerable human being.
Brings tears to my eyes
Every time... I cry my damn heart out. Fkkkkkkkk
Died here in Minneapolis so fuckin sad 😢
I hate that I feel this song so much!
This video is so painfully powerful and prophetic. Thank you for all the years of your music ❤
Some music you can't turn the volume high enough ❤

***** yes.
First Scott and now Chris. RIP to these two legends!
J P and now Chester too:(
J P You don't like Kurt Cobain? Andrey i think this music it isn't like Chester music.
chester was a great and remarkable rock star :( I listened a whole lot of Linkin Park and they always done fresh and new stuff, may all of them rest in peace, now ...
J P and then Chester
I'm glad all the greats were together so Scott felt he could represent his addiction. Man, that was so f'ing real to see him like this.
My life
the scene where duff and scott are fighting and then hugging is so hard to see
I get misty eyed at that part :(
me too. i read his autobio a few weeks after hid death. it hit me very hard since i struggle w the same addictions. had a relapse & now dedicatemy sobriety to his dream of breaking those chains of Mr. Harry Owen
I'm in the grips of it too Bill
Just be strong for your fellows and they can maybe be strong for you
Maybe we can help each other.
***** There's lots of us right there with you man
Duff himself has been through some shit just being with GNR and the drugs associated with that band but he had to watch 2 of the 90's greats pass. He was on a plane talking to Kurt Cobain just days before he killed himself and Duff knew there was something wrong. Then he had to watch as Scott had his struggles and later die after the band was dissolved.
A Man only Dies. When there memory is lost.. R.I.P Scott
Hell of a concert in Cincinnati in 05!!!!
Guess he will never truly be dead then
"and when the last person they know calls their name" Christopher Walken Stand Up Guys
@@kevinburnes3216 I love me some Chris Walken...don't know that know this one...R.I.P Walk on.
Keep watching this video and others, show the younger generations of the music that we heard. And then, his name will never be forgotten.
R.I.P Scott and all love your music
I would have liked to see those years. RIP Scott!
I loved Velvet Revolver I feel like they never got enough credit
I completely agree! That first cd was great!
@@zack2698 this and slither were my 2 favorites from Velvet
True, loving alien was my favorite!
Affirmative
I totally agree with you 🤘🤘
I'm tired of being sober I think sometimes... but then I remember the lives I ruined including my 3 daughters and I fight for another day.
That`s 3 great reasons George, hang in there
I think you should make a couple more kids is as fun as not being sober. Ha
Keep fighting man. It ain't about you anymore...it's about those girls now.
Good job friend.
Keep strong, man. Good luck.
I,ve me Tosh(singer) twice and I asked him what this song was about, and he said it's about his grandparents, they love each other, but the his Grandmother wanted to be a movie star and his grandpa had other plans. However I believe she went for her dreams and the Grandpa was ok but sad.
Scott Weiland was unmatched, wether it was with STP or Velvet Revolver or any of the supergroups he was in his voice touches our hearts and souls RIP
This song makes me miss Scott. We all miss you! Thank you for your music and all the lives you've touched in the process... never forget! Long live Scott
"It's been a long year, since you've been gone" Scott. RIP
Have seen it many times,, attended a couple of funerals,, sadly life goes on. RIP Brother Scott.
Still remember when I first saw this debut back in 2004 on MTV in my freshman year of high school. Still a banger till this day. RIP Scott.
Few songs can touch my heart like this. RIP Scott Weiland.
Felipe Oliveira Harry Nilsson puts forth the same power and energy on his endlessly covered song “Without You” The way he stretches out “time” in the verse makes goosebumps at the right volume lol.
A video that depicts a true story. What a shame it had to end that way.
Truth
This song gives me the chills the whole song with the video and his amazing powerful voice he is the epitome of a rock star ⭐️ 🤩🎤🎸
Insanely awesome song. The power and heartbreak behind it is above any other song out there. It's almost like he sang about his impending death. RIP Scott Weiland.
One of Slash's best solos. Just killer tone.
It's It's amazing solo but I still think his church solo from November rain is his best
It’s all about the neck pickup for the first 3/4ths of the way.
100%

I recently heard a local DJ read a list of his best solo's and Paradise City was #1. All great songs
It’s a sad realization that Scott Weiland was blessed with immeasurable talent, but will only be remembered for his demons. Even in the depths of his sickness, on his worst day, he was better than most on their best day. God Bless Scott! Hope you found peace at last. 🙏🌹
I'll always remember him as frontman for STP.
No I'll remember him for the badass front man that he was.
Well said, what a great talent lost too soon
Picasso, would take a knee for you bro !
If all you remember is his demons then you do him a great disservice. He was a beautiful soul that brought joy to millions. We should honor him for his achievements, and remember him kindly.
Fell to pieces, and I'm still, FALLING! EVERYTIME IM! FALLING DOWN, ALL ALONE I FALL, TO PIECES.
Incredible song both lyrically and musically. Like hall of fame level stuff for certain to any real rock & roll fan. RIP Scott, we love and miss you
Seeing Duff trying to save Scott is too real...
breaks my heart Eric.......
💔😭
😪
Got me in the heart..and gut
Is it
To all you addicts out there, it's never too late. Keep trying, you can do it. Don't be embarrassed if you stumble. My brother of 54 years couldn't do it ( he was an addict for 30 years and died on 8/30/18) and I miss him dearly. I tried to help but it wasn't enough...
Addiction is a demon.
Some can beat it, but many others can't.
So sorry for your loss, Mike.
Strength to you and your family.
Thank you K
@Mike McVeigh Saddly some can't find him
@@gregadventures2024 I'm so sorry!! My brother is an addict and we're fighting so hard to save him! Hes only 41 but has struggled with this for over 10 years. I dont know if God is real or not, but prayer doesn't seem to help. He's hitting rock bottom right now, so hopefully it'll be his wake up call!! Any advice is greatly appreciated!!!
@Mike McVeigh He was finding his way to the Lord, (starting to attend church) though you ask, sometimes our Lord has different plans for us. One day all our questions will be answered by Him.
This song still tugs at my heart💔💔💔💔i felt his pain..as well as my own..RIP
This song really speaks to people who are falling in life not failing but falling whatever it means I feel it
I'm so thankful I got to see him live..what a singer...love this guy..rest in peace and thank you for all the music

I’m 29 years clean ... I still keep my journal of memories
Congrats!!! Coming

Yea it’s been a hard 30 years I wouldn’t do it differently,my family has made a complete turn around because of my habits.they don’t want to go down that road
respect for not being a junkie anymore.
I'm going to start mine .I know my memories clean will be better the the last 9 years dirty and with my abusive ex boyfriend. Just 1 hour will better even though I'm alone and I'm grateful I'm not lonely.
Great job man.
this song makes me feel, i never knew you scott but like morrison, through the rhythmic poetry and rockstar persona I know you were a man tortured with the wise mind of an artist. Thank you for all the music and emotion and memory you have given at the expense of your mind. Love you scott, you always have a brother in me, This song makes me miss her.
Tragic he couldn't get the help he needed... What a voice. Lost in time forever.
5 weeks clean.
I'm done falling.
sixstringvoodoo keep your strength brother......
Amen. Do it yourself and you won't owe anybody anything
116 days for me today! Praying you're still clean. Please, keep us updated. We can all help each other!
How are you holding up?
Still done and doing great! I had to quit the woman, then the H was easy.
Thank's for asking😎
You can see and hear he was crying out loud for help... Much like Chester Bennington and Chris Cornell in their deepest songs. Definitely makes you see and feel how fragile a mind and heart can be. Incredibly sad how no one could help them cope with their inner demons.😢
I truly understand as I currently deal with my own demons
I ride my bike my demons away..
Gawd, I miss Chris and Chester. How can those of us at the top of the mountain feel so lost? How are we ‘normal’ people’ going to continue on? I miss Scott, Layne, Kurt, and all the others. But somehow I find the will to carry on.
The fame and success in the music world was quite destructive to many. I feel like the music world has changed somewhat for the better in the past 2 decades, because the recording industry is not as lucrative anymore.
We all have them, some, like them, are more sensitive than others and feel life deeper. it doesn't mean they're weak, far from it.
Born in 76 and miss this music…I don’t even turn on the radio nowadays
One of the greatest that ever did it.....I bought this CD....Slashes guitar break is awesome on this. Thanks for the music. RIP Scott 💔
This was the last concert I saw with my husband before he passed away. Cherish this song forever
sorry :(
Vennaris - En llamas 🔥
This breaks my heart.
🕯️
Tesla was the last concert I went to with my wife before she died from cancer. They played several cover songs, including Thank you by Led Zeppelin, which we sang to each other as they played it. I'm grateful for the best times of my life with her!
