I make my own K-Cups but use paper filters and 1tbs of ground coffee per 8/10 oz of water on strong setting. No grit or sludge and the coffee comes out fine.
i get the same..a filmy dark layer on top and the grounds wash through..I'm not a fan of the K-cup maker..it seems to only make a decent cup of coffee with its premade expensive packs.
With the solofill I noticed a brown foam ring after brewing and a brown sludge at the bottom of the cup, also tasted like instant coffee. The k cups only have one opening where the solofill has the mesh, perhaps its letting too much out too fast and not getting hot enough? I'll try again, but for now have been using a coffee maker.
I have a Keurig B60 Special Edition. Not seeing that it will work with yours, but found some that will. There is always a Drip
Coffee pot and some are small pots but the Filters and coffee are Cheep compared

Have you tried the Keurig brand reusable filter? And if so do you think one is better than the other?
No, I haven't, so I can't say. I bought the less expensive of the two. ;)

As another poster mentioned, this thing makes incredibly weak coffee. Went back to K-cups.

I received the Solofill Cup reusable Keurig filter as a gift, and the lid won't stay closed, and I can't return it because I have receipt.
Mine had a little problem with the lid, too, but as long as I don't overfill it and press down until it's snaps closed, I'm golden. ;)

Don't put grounds down the sink people and use something better that the F word. Plus use a medium to fine grind.
