One of the most powerful, soul-destroying tragic and powerful songs in metal history.
Agreed
Awesome comment.... so true.
Awesome comment!🤘🏻
In all genres of music. Still Most powerful lyrics
A person of culture 🤟
My man was not ready for one of the greatest guitar solos of all time
top 3 all time.
You sure? When there's things like free bird
@@willtilley3707 free bird is poetry
True
@@PatrioticNative nah ain't top 3. painkiller, Hanger 18, and sudden death are just 3 songs that instantly come to mind with better solos
you can literally watch his face melt off during the solos ❤
maybe not literally
This song is so beautiful yet so dark
It’s pure heavy metal🤘🏻
After 7 minutes a new metal head is born, awesome. 👍👍
"Fade to black" should be next!
This entire album was born of their rage and grief out of losing their bassist, Cliff Burton in a bus accident.
Is that what had happened??
@@heatherbrown8803yes
That’s right. Look at clips these days of them talking about Cliff. Even today it hits them so hard (Mustaine too).
That grief and rage was totally woven through Justice. Even as subjects were war, power, greed those emotions of moving on without Cliff drove them strongly.
I enjoyed seeing someone experience Metallica for the first time today a lot more than l should have. Great reaction. Please do Metallica Master of Puppets with lyrics again - a great kids don’t do drugs song. You always get 3 songs in 1 with Metallicas old songs
This is the way
LoL! Ikr! Does something to my heart to see people experience Metallica ❤️🎶🤘
It doesnt have to be about kids doing drugs. Whilst yes that is the reference within the lyrics, it can be attached to any addiction that gets so controlling over an individual there is nothing else. I used this metaphor with my son whos "Master" was his PC gaming. I have no issues with him gaming but when everything that comes out of his mouth and all thoughts and focus is in it, thats when he became the "puppet"
Yep... I am 40 now and have been listening to One of about 30 yrs now. I still get chills when I hear it to this day.
The start when the drums kick in blows me the fuck away 23 here
Me too turn 41 April
im 39 , grew up listening to 2 albums , and justice for all and master of puppets on my walkman , to be honest , One is one of my least favorite songs from that album (ajfa). it tends to drag on a bit , song actually starts 5minutes in.
BEST reaction and description of what Metallica delivers "when i wanted to chill, my body didnt let me chill, when i wanted to stop, my body didnt let me stop, is a lot, but is good"
I'm an old heavy metal chick and I absolutely love to watch younger generations experience my generations music. I have been a Metallica fan since their beginning and still my body takes over uncontrollably when this song plays. I watched this on my big screen and had it up loud and freaking mosh pit myself!!! Lol keep up the great videos!
Yes! I’m an old metal mama too, I live for seeing people’s reaction to the music of my generation. 🤘🏽😝
DARKNESS IMPRISONING ME
ALL THAT I SEE
ABSOLUTE HORROR
I CANNOT LIVE
I CANNOT DIE
TRAPPED IN MYSELF
BODY MY HOLDING CELL
This guy really knows how to react to music! He just lets the music ride, no pausing for discussions, love it! Just got a new subscriber.
face melting guitar solo🎸🤯
I love your reaction every time the song basically changes genres. It’s like 4-5 different songs in one. One of the best songs ever and watching you listen to it for the first time brings back memories
I have been listening to ONE since it first came out. It still gets my blood pumping. Metal will unite us.
Early Metallica “moves” like classical music. It’s what sets them apart and as someone who loves both, best of both worlds. My absolute favorite three song combo is from the first S&M album. Starts w ecstasy of gold then moves into Call of Ktulu, then moves seamlessly into Master of Puppets at high energy. That switch to Master and the reaction of the crowd as they realize it, holy CRAP it gives goosebumps every damn time.
This is the best song ever written in my opinion. Loved the video.
One of the greatest intros of all time as well
As a rap fan through and through…. I’d have to agree with this comment. It’s beautiful
I like Fade to Black better
Your reaction to this is incredible-that’s how EVERYONE felt when we were kids hearing this! I love that you’re out of breath after it!!
One is definitely essential listening for Metallica. You saw why. They were huge for a lot of guitarists back in the day. You need to check out Tool "The Pot"
Oh man, I want him to do Tool so bad! Honestly, too much great music to choose from.
I WANT HIM TO DO TOOL SO BAD
😆
This is the beauty of old metallica songs, some of their longer songs are basically 2 for 1. They start out with an amazing song that turns into a completely different song half way through.
the music video adds a fair bit of context to the lyrics
As a kid who grew up listening to dads country music until I hit about 14-15, this was me when I eventually discovered my ma love for Metallica and rock/metal music. So awesome!
The face-scrunching. The subtle head banging. Yes... YAS. Now you know.
That deep breathing at the end was the proper reaction.
Nathan your killin me!! Ive seen Metallica live 28 times and when I first heard ONE live I could touch the stage. I remember the wall of guitars blowing me away and then Kirks legendary solo but what I most remember to this day and I'm now 57 is Lars double bass entering my chest and traveling through my entire body and out my back. I remember like it was yesterday. I have tickets to see them 3 times in 2024 and cant wait. If you get a chance don't miss out.
My guy got flabbergasted at the solo, could almost see his cheeks being pushed back by the wave of sounds
I loved that you said "i love the change-ups, its unreal but its Metallica you know".... then was still shocked at the solo..... amazing bro. I only discovered the channel today but now theres a whole catalogue to go through. Thanks
brother feels the music, you really getting those absolute masterpieces, your audience ani't going soft on you
The film/story this is based on "Johnny Got His Gun" is heartbreaking, and their song captures the hopelessness and fear perfectly.
Hahaha that freestyle at the end shows that these reactions are 100% real..... mad respect for not re-recording just to have a flawless freestyle. Keep it real always bruv. Mad respect
It’s awesome watching these with you. It’s like listening to them for the first time myself! Same feelings . Love the videos bro!
My first time watching...I subscribed immediately!
5:30 Dude's getting his face melted 🤘
For whom the bell tolls, sanitarium, unforgiven, nothing else matters, battery…. You can’t miss….
I'M FEELING THIS!!!! THIS IS TAKING ME!!! THIS IS TAKING ME!!!! LOLOLOL!!!!!!
Enjoy your reactions. Saw Metallica in person several times. The are just as good live as their recordings. 😄
He wasn’t prepared for that double kick peddle and guitar solo. Love watching people hear greatness for the first time
Love this! It’s so amazing watching people react to listening to Metallica for the first time!
I’ve heard people say if they could go back in time and listen to a song for the first time again, they’d choose Master of Puppets by Metallica.
Welcome to heavy metal at its finest my friend 🤟🏻🖤🤘🏻
Saw it live 1988, AWESOME.
Bro! Watching you hear this song for the first time reminds me of when i was in 7th grade side stepping bullies on my way to the buses. Then listening to it while on the bus. It blew my mind. Not just for the musical brilliance, but it also reminded me that it could always be worse.
Thank you for all you do.
Rapping over metal instrumental should become a thing
Just found you through Tik Tok, followed you here to UA-cam. Watching you react to some of these songs takes me back to the first time I heard them. I had the same visceral experience to these songs back when I was younger. Thank you for that. More Metallica please. A few suggestions Master of Puppets, Fade to Black, Blackened. Just to name a few.
One of the best songs ever this lyrically and the guitar solo is amazing such a good song and story
No lyrics but the best guitar playing I’ve heard was Orion by Metallica
the whole master of puppets album is a no-skip masterpiece
that song is a total piece of ART
Dude sick ass reaction bro I loved it
I’m exhausted from both laughter and the power of this song! You are great sir, subscribed.
Watch the music video, and read up on the movie the clips are cut from. The book they're both based on is one of the most beautiful, painful pieces of writing you could encounter. It'll definitely fuck you up though...
One of my favorite songs of all time...dark as can be...but more than powerful and the guitar solo...oh man
That "m" thing is just fantastic!
Metallica.... THIS IS THE ONE!!!
Disposable heroes is my favorite metallica song
That was amusing and genuine, and amusingly genuine
Try a little slower Metallica. Try Fade to Black… One of my favorites! the Unforgiven and Nothing Else Matters kick ass too!
Or keep with the energy! I’m here for it either way, and the Bars!!
😂🔥🔥🔥
You have to listen to Living Colour- Cult of Personality!
“This is taking me!” 😂😂😂😂
Metallica was my first concert at 4 years old,my dad and hiis love of music being a drummer and having a band, our whole family was enjoying something together,me on my dad's shoulders ,banging my head and balling up my fists smiling,my 14&10 years older sisters stopped trying to be cool and we were a family. One of my earliest memories, probably wasn't good for my ears lol but we have a signed drumstick from Lars as a family heirloom so 😁
If you like that solo at the end, check out Master of Puppets! It has my fave Metallica solos in it!
You have to watch the Official video then watch the Live Moscow 1991 version!!!
Yes!!!
Saw this tour in ‘89. One of my favorites to this day….and Ive seen a lot. Still general admission back then. I got a nose bleed from head banging.😂
me too!
My kids took me to see Metallica like 15 years ago! Great kids! Great Band!
This song is based on a movie called "Johnny got his gun"
This is the one song I wish I could experience for the 1st time again
It was based off the book called Johnny's got his gun. This is shown in
the music video. Once you read the book everything will make sense. The
story is an antiwar novel about an american soldier who served in the
first world war. The soldier while crossing the trenches gets hit by an
artillery shell. Afterwards he is left without arms, legs, eyes, ears
and nose. He is left in this state without an end. Now how do the lyrics go along?I cant remember anything I cant tell if this is true or real deep inside I feel to scream but this terrible silence stops me.Meaning He is stuck and cannot move or scream because he cant do anything. Now that the war is through with me Im waking up I cannot see That there is not much left of me Nothing is real but pain nowThis
shows how that now that the war is done he is stuck in the position
that he cant see or do anything and is stuck in this painThe next two lines are begging for deathNextFed through a tube that sticks in me
also, clips from the movie that was an adaptation of the book are in the music video, which is the most amazing touch
One has one of the best videos to a song. ♥️
Welcome to the addiction of classic Rock N Roll
I can't stop laughing at your deeply confused face as you're trying to follow the transitions. It's nice that you're just taking in the vibe of the song and concentrating on the music instead of trying to dissect the lyrics.
For all the non metal heads out there this is the type of music that you don't understand until you understand it.....when you do... your fucking hooked 💪
I like the way you present yourself in your introduction, analysis, and final reaction. Kudos! Great sound quality, video style, and personality.
I've been listening to heavy rock since the mid 70s with Zeppelin and Sabbath, up through Korn and many other greats ONE by Metallica is possibly the greatest heavy rock song ever made for its mix of raw anger and beauty. No one did it better.
Meeeeec ta réaction m'a permis de revivre ma première écoute merci beaucoup !
Shoutout from across the pond do you my G
You get a subbie just for your stinkface alone! Loved it! Made my night!
Metallica will never not make me hype.
Love the facials haha
Best video I’ve seen in a very long time, I laughed the whole time. Amazing brother. Keep it up from Canada!
Metallica - Fade to black - You must hear that !! :)
Lots of people hate Metallica say they sold out... I love them.
Metallica 🤟🏻 that’s how your supposed to feel.
You need to watch one of their live performances! I suggest Welcome Home Sanitarium live in Seattle 1989. It is an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G piece of work! I think you'll LOVE it! Or Fade to Black, same concert!!!
I LOVE your face! “That’s NASTY” face 😂😂 fucking love it so much
Jealous of you listening to this for the first time 🤘🤘🤘
One of their best songs another you should listen to is all nightmare long
One of the best songs ever
Need to listen to Orion by Metallica. Most epic instrumental song that feels like it tells a story
For a moment I thought the guy was going to have a heart attack :)
Woooo. EVERY SINGLE TIME. Rollercoaster of emotion. Glad you enjoyed it.
It’s about a war survivor that only could tap in Morse code to communicate
Listen to let me hear by fear and loathing in Las Vegas next! They’re a Japanese band signed by Warner. They’re the theme tune in the anime series, Parasite
one of the greatest reactions i have ever seen and now today is gonna be a Metallica day 🤘
Great Reaction. Next metallica fade to black
I absofuckinglutely LOVE your reaction to this one!!! ☮️💚😊
This song was written for an old movie that Metallica got the rights to that is called Johnny's Gun it's about a war hero who loses everything but the ability to nod his head in Morris code to let him die
"my brodda yeahh..mmm" 😂😂😂
A very good song with a very Real storie behind it. It's about War
the Twins have done it!!!! And the BEST PART: One was filmed on ONE HARP! ❤❤❤
The people giving comments on here are awesome, kinda like Nathan Brown: honest, feelings
This is the song of all time
