Worst pest... well technically aiptasia, but no dip will get rid of that. But worst pest early on in the hobby (back in metal halide days!) was monti eating nudibranchs, thought I had a nice little system (135 gallons) with one rock structure that was nothing but montis, another nothing but acros, and yup... nudibranch kind of ruined one section... guess which one :D I went over the tank with a red light every night to siphon out everyone I saw... eventually I just lost all my montis.
It’s the little things! I accidentally left empty hermit crab shells from fish store a half hour in 90-100 degree car. When I came out huge bristleworms were all over the bag. I woulda just thrown those shells in.
This stuff looks interesting, if I see it I may pick it up and give it a try. I am not sure if I have any pests in my tank yet. I started off looking at every little thing moving. Lately I have been more focused on beating hair algae and hoping the Menelaus wrasse I added in May shows up.(its been three weeks ;0( I have used the other two common dips ReVive and coral Rx. What I find I do is not what you did (you were gentle stirring around the coral). I am super aggressive with the blowing the solution around the coral during the dip. I am so aggressive I most likely damaging the coral or making it supper stressed. I have found vermetid snail on some of the frag plugs and have lately been removing all coral and attaching to new frag plugs. Old plugs in my tank have been pulled and inspected for the sign of these snails and I did find them on two. I found bubble algae on one frag. SO nothing to nasty. Maybe someone can comment on how often we should re-dip our frags. I did try dipping in 3% h202 to get rid of some algae on some new frags and managed to kill an acan and some palys blew up like a blister on a mixed frag. Not sure I would do that again. I am also in Canada (NS), and I do not think we can get the Bayer insect killer which seems a common go to south of the border. I know that eggs can be on the plug or coral but do not know how long it takes for these eggs to hatch or if there is a general rule. In an ideal world you would have a qt tank set up but most are lucky to have one tank never mind a few qt tanks to boot.
Unfortunately, coral dips don't usually kill aiptasia. If that's a big concern for you, I would suggest dipping, then placing the coral in a coral quarantine system where you can monitor more closely for aiptasia.
Be honest, does EVERY coral you add to your tank get dipped? If not, what's the worst pest you've dealt with?

AEFW, vermetids are 2 of the worst imo.

This coral dip kills little aiptasias in corals?

can this be dosed in the display ?
No, this is used for a coral dip and should not be used in the display.
My tank kills everything apart from fish, so no worries. Zoas died within 1 week, impressive. ICP test revealed nothing. Fun times. But fish happy.
If you haven’t already reef2reef is a great place to ask some questions. High school science only got me so far.
Lights must be on too intense.
A mantis shrimp as a hitchhiker?!
I've had 4 in my career as a reefer so far.
I've had 1 so far, it took some catching.
Too many post in my feed. See ya ✌️
