There are a few songs where the drummer is the lead singer.... while drumming. Their song 23 from this same concert is the perfect example. All 3xs8sters are awesome. But each of us fans have their favorite and mine is the the bass player who is also, sadly, the shiest about fhowing off her vocal abilities which are amazing. This band never disappoints. My advise to you is to always seek their official releases of their live performances. They are all stage beasts and they always shine the brightest when performing live. They are also all of them so adorable, a bunch of dorky kids who somehow become rock goddess onstage.

Everything from high energy to power ballads. All 3 of them can sing lead, and Pau the drummer does sing lead on about 20% of their songs. You should see the drummer (Pau, pronounced "pow") sing lead; she sings 20-25% of the leads (including songs where she splits the lead with the guitarist/principal lead, Dany). Her voice is different but complementary; when Dany has on occasion forgotten the lyrics for one of their older songs, Pau jumps in so quickly that unless you know otherwise you wouldn't realize what was going on. Some of her best lead vocals are Dust to Dust, Narcisista (she usually sings from the drums, but at this concert one of her teachers stood in for her so she could front the band), and 23. She sings a number of ballads, including the hauntingly beautiful Black Holes and Revenant.
Ale (pronounced AH-leh, short for Alejandra, so just chop off the last two syllables), the bassist, prefers not to sing lead and she rarely does. She will do so on a few songs when Dany needs to reduce her workload. Her voice is somewhat different. She has a polyphonic passage under Dany's lead in Hell You Call A Dream (HYCAD) live that really does show her voice to best advantage, although not the studio version.
What next? The live version of HYCAD is short, but just a mind-shattering song that needs to be played loud. At a TEDx talk in 2017, Dany gave a speech that closed with "music is passion, music is hope, music is life" that a lot of us read as "Dany is passion, Dany is hope, Dany is life". When you listen and watch Dany on HYCAD, it will be crystal clear why we say that. Martirio is another very passionate song (in Spanish) that Dany sings.
Anything from the Metropolitan concert is a safe bet, as are Evolve and More from the MTV VMA last fall. The Metropolitan concert uses audio from the board, but they didn't clean it up; there are a few missed notes here and there that you'll mostly only recognize if you're very familiar with their music, but it doesn't matter. Beethoven said that a wrong note is of no consequence, but to play without passion is inexcusable. There aren't a lot of wrong notes by any means, and their passion is undeniable. They do not have any dropoff in quality live -- they aren't one of those bands that's great in the studio, but can't keep it together live -- and indeed many of us consider their live recordings to be better than their studio ones. They live for the stage.
A new single from their forthcoming album (Keep Me Fed) is dropping tomorrow, Automatic Sun. I've seen a fanvid of it live, and it's extremely heavy. It will be interesting to see what the studio version is like.

Daniela (guitar/lead vocals), Paulina (drums/lead and backing vocals), and Alejandra (bass/backing vocals) are very talented. If you want to hear them do more Metallica, give "Atlas, Rise!" at Whiskey A Go Go a go 😆 That one is seriously amazing. And if you want to experience their originals (I kinda consider this version of Enter Sandman a TW original though), I can recommend continuing with this performance, at Teatro Metropolitan, it's amazing. Speaking of Metallica, you should listen to their 2014 cover of Enter Sandman, when they were 9 (Ale), 12 (Pau), and 14 (Dany). As you noticed, Paulina also sings, while drumming, she even sings lead on a couple of songs. And all three of them play the piano. Did I mention that they are talented? They are also very nice people.

Several folks are recommending “Evolve” from the MTV VMAs, but first The Warning performed “More”, a newer song, with Daniela (Dany) really working the audience. At least one eyewitness reported few people in that audience knew the band. I think they captured that audience with “More” and totally owned them by the end of “Evolve”.

Excellent 1st-time reaction to The Warning Teo!
The Villarreal-Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards.
Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards.
Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing.
Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage.
After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020.
They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track!
They are going to release their 4th studio album "KEEP ME FED" June 28th, 2024. And 5 singles off the new album have already been released: "MORE", "SICK", "HELL YOU CALL A DREAM", and "QUE` MA`S QUIERES", and recently "AUTOMATIC SUN".
The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock.
Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico.
They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old.
Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC.
When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 24, 22 and 19 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #51 original songs (not including the remaining songs from the upcoming 4th studio album).
Drummer Paulina writes around 75% of The Warning's songs. Most of her songs begin in rock ballad form; starting with a concept, then chord progression, melody and basic song structure on the piano. She may only have a verse and a chorus when she brings it before her sisters. Together they transpose each instrument's part and "rockify" the song. They complete any lyrics, bridges and any arranging, etc. making changes along the way. A 2/3 approval vote of each instrument's part and each vocal harmony before it becomes a completed song. Paulina has said if not for her sisters, her songs would be different. Both guitarist Daniela and bassist Alejandra write equally great songs; just not as many.
Drummer Paulina recently won Drumeo's 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year and won Best Up and Coming Artist in Modern Drummer Magazine's recent reader's poll.
I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR. I have talked with their parents on 2 occasions and have had many conversations with their manager Rudy.
Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans.

I just checked the comments and it appears as if nobody suggested that you go back to 2014 when these young sisters did a more faithful cover of Enter Sandman. If you were impressed with these young ladies (and you should be) and where they are now, you owe it to yourself to check out the video that started the whole thing rolling. As you watch, (and we will all watch you if you react to the 'original') keep in mind that the bassist is 9 years old. If you're a Metallica fan, you will be impressed.

Yeahhhh, about them. They are the best band of Gen X. Hands down. They celebrated ten years as a band last fall. Dany takes lead on this. Pau, drums, takes the high harmonies. Ale takes the low harmonies. This is a complete rearrangement. Alessia Cara is tracked in this mix too, as she was a collaborator on the original, which appears on Metallica's *Black List* album. That original is done as a great music video, produced in a week during the pandemic. Alessia is in Canada, so her part was recorded separately and sent over the Internet to The Warning in Mexico, where they projected her video on the wall of an abandoned mill. There's a great "behind the scenes" video of the making of that music video on their channel. You should definitely check out more from them. The entire Teatro Metropolitan CDMX (Metropolitan Theater in Mexico City) 08/29/2022 concert is incredible. It features a state of the art live audio recording, mixed in post production and synchronized with multiple camera video clips, just like this version of *Enter Sandman* from that concert.

Yeah, Dany the lead singer/guitarist has an awesome rock voice. Pau (Pow) the drummer also has a really great voice though just a little different and sings lead sometimes and backing vocals. As many of TWA have/will suggest, checking out their performance of Evolve at last October’s MTV VMAs is a great watch. Any of their songs from this same concert would be great. You are going to *so* love The Warning -- TWA will provide you with tons of info!! The Warning with Alessia Cara's OMV of Enter Sandman is how I found The Warning - then I had to watch The Warning's straight cover from 2014 (heh, talk about young!). The song Dust to Dust will completely stun you, but Evolve from MTV VMAs is extraordinary - but you really can't go wrong. Hope you check out more of The Warning!!

It is interesting to see what they did with this Metallica song, but they have around 50 originals with a 12 songs new album coming out in a couple of months and they already released 5 of the new songs, so plenty of great songs to react to. Just go to their UA-cam channel, find the full show at Teatro Metropolitan and react to it song by song, 22 songs, 22 bangers.

Yes, this band is young, Daniela (guitar) is 24, Paulina (drums) is 22 and Alejandra (bassist) is 19. But, The Warning have been a band for 10 years now. By now you should have many recommendations and believe me, anyone you choose to react to next is killer, they are that good! Edit: Actually I'll recommend another Metallica cover of Atlas Rise at the Whiskey A Go Go. By that time, TW weren't doing covers but they performed the song because the owner loved that song. If that's not accurate, I stand corrected.

Their original songs are equally good. From this concert, you might want to give a listen to Choke, Animosity, Evolve, or some of the songs where the drummer sings like 23, Dust to Dust, or Narcisista. One song that's better from a different concert is Money (not a cover) from when they opened for the Foo Fighters. Anyway, this band is a serious rabbit hole since they DO NOT IKNOW how to write a bad tune. BTW, their live performances almost always beat their "official" vids.

The bass player sings backup but rarely sings lead. The drummer, however, routinely sings lead on several of their songs. And covers aren't even really their long suit. Their original material is SiCK.
