The Drummer is so solid , they all are singing now , and the Singer and Guitar player she is so legit. Wow no wonder they are so popular!

Live performance is The Warning's Superpower! MTV was not prepared for what The Warning brought to the table, even the Producer said (over a live mic no less) "Holy Shit! I'm a fan"

In 2015 the girls attended the Berklee College of Music, with $30K in support from Ellen Degeneres and Target Stores. At the end of their 6 week program one of their instructors was asked where he thought they would be in 10 years time? His reply was that “Ale and her sisters would be receiving their 1st Grammy Award”… Next year is 2025 and it’s quite possible.

Best power trio in a long, long time. That’s a one hell of a wall of sound for a 3 piece. And they are absolute MONSTERS live. The bassist was in the 4th grade when they cut their first album. Imagine being a 10 year veteran at the age of 19? I just can’t wrap my head around it…

23, 21 and 18 is correct for this performance last fall. All have had birthday's since then.
They played the extended play stage here, recorded on Friday, only a couple less than a minute clips were shown on the Tuesday Awards broadcast. Only artist to play that was not nominated for an award, only artist on this stage to do their 2 songs in 1 take. "More" was the other song. They gave up 1 of 2 dates opening for G'N'R to do this. Most in the crowd didn't know them before this. Rumor has it that mtv is still looking for their roof. lol
Instead of showing your partner the MV, you could show him the live version of this from Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 2022. Pau, the drummer , sings lead too, "Dust To Dust" or "23' from that show for her.
And you want older too, check out the music video for the title track to the first album, "XXI Century Blood", released 2017.

Tatiana has some of the best harsh vocals out there but she also has very good clean vocals.

They wrote this after watching ‘Unnatural Selection’ on Netflix about gene editing, human guided/forced evolution. But it has become a survivors anthem for many people. That’s the genius of their lyrics. Always beautiful, always profound, always poignant, always able to reach each listener where they are in their own life/experiences.

As a transgender woman this can easily become a transition anthem. "Pain is the price to survive, to Evolve!" We go through so much emotional pain, often at the hands of "friends", and loved ones just to survive, and evolve into who we have been on the inside.
This song, this performance is the epitome of "three chords, and a cloud of dust", even though it's more complex than that they make it look so easy. They grab you by the throat and don't let go. 🤘🤘

Welcome to The Warning all grown up. The Warning Army welcomes you to what we believe is the future of rock & roll - The Warning - Three sisters from Monterey Mexico who started playing together, as you found out, when they were children and who have now been making great hard music for more than a decade. With three studio albums, several live concert videos, and a new album on the way (to be released June 28), we think there is plenty of material for you to choose from. They were independent for the first two albums (Kickstarter and crowd-funded), but are now signed to Lava/Republic records.
    This three-piece is:
    Daniela (Dany, 24yo, guitar)
Paulina (Pau, as in POW-er, 22yo, drums)
Alejandra (Ale, pronounced AH-lay, 19yo, bass)
All three sisters sing and all are classically trained on piano.
They are something special live. I also love power trios. Their energy, charisma, and musicality really shine when in front of an audience. In the past two years I have flown all over North America and seen them 7 times. Can’t wait for the chance to travel and see them again. The only other band I have traveled like this for in more than 40 years of concert going was Rush.

Hey man, I envy you. This is the first song I heard by them (the official music video) and my life has not been the same since. It's an incredible journey of discovery to find these ladies and keep pinching yourself over and over wondering how come you never heard of them. Seriously, that's how it's going to go. And the lyrics were inspired by a Netflix documentary on natural selection, gene splicing, etc. These ladies are hella smart and write meaningful lyrics, while leaving things vague enough so everyone can draw their own interpretation. That's a hallmark of excellent writing. The old/new is a good idea, be careful though, some of the older covers they did from various talent shows etc are not really good for reacting to as there are just too many technical limitations, (poor sound and things like that.) There is a very early concert that they performed at their school in 2015 which is very early but is really excellent to see their growth. Liceo is the name of the school and you should be able to find it easily.

They are exceptional story tellers. Their words are as impressive as their music. Not many bands have ever made me tear up. This band makes me cry. As an old school R&R guy who hated disco for destroying the rock genre, when I stumbled onto the TEDx 2017 video, it gave me new purpose for listening to music again. Welcome to the adventure. And, trust me, we don't mind if you do double song reactions. No video of this band is to long for us to watch, again, and again, and again! I feel bad for the fact that Bones(?right)missed this!!

My recommendation is this.. "HELL YOU CALL A DREAM" LIVE AT THE PEPSI CENTER CDMX. Then start the Teatro Metropolitan cdmx 2022 start with the first song Z and go 21 more awesome songs after that (timed stamped ) you can find each individual song.. best live concert on UA-cam.. for now .. Watch the opening song "More" from the VMAs. I suggest you watch the Teatro Metropolitan full concert which has a short behind the scenes segment leading up to the concert, then just go song-by-song to get the full concert experience without jumping around. But, before doing that, I suggest you watch their live performance of "Hell You Call A Dream" from the Pepsi Center CDMX, their most recent official live concert video release.
Jinjer is a fantastic band and they do have a lot of time signature and tempo changes. Tatyana is a talented vocalist and she is a really nice, sweet person. I have watched several interviews with her and Eugene Abdukhanov the bassist, and they are really down to earth. Elizabeth Zharoff "The Charismatic Voice on YT did an hour interview with Tatyana. There are other bands that have female vocals like Tatyana: Arch Enemy with Alissa White Gluz, who is friends with The Warning girls; Spirit Box with Courtney LaPlante; Unleash the Archers with Brittney Slayes; Nightwish with Floor Jansen, they are a symphonic metal band, just to name a few female vocalists.

Their stage presence is next level. These ladies understand the assignment. Paulina (Pau, as in "POW") is just a little thing, but is a 5 ft stick of dynamite behind the kit. She was Drumeo's Rock Drummer of the Year in '23. For an older track, you should check out their TEDx performance from 2017. Their rock anthems inspire and energise. ONE TAKE. Blew MTV's roof off. Just say TAY-AH-TRO May-Tro-POH-Li-Tan for the Metropolitan Theater in Mexico City. All the vowels in Spanish are the same in British English and all Romance languages (French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese...). These ladies really are phenomenal. Yes, all 22 songs at Teatro Met are great. But that was the penultimate performance of *Evolve.* You really should check out the most recent live version of *Hell You Call a Dream,* as performed live at their tenth anniversary show at the Pepsi Center in Mexico City. It may not have quite as consequential lyrics as *Evolve,* but it's still a thought-provoking banger, and the performance is unreal.

If you want something old try their XXI Century Blood video, the title track of their first album. One of the few better than their live performances. Currently they have 3 albums. The 4th, called Keep Me Fed, is dropping June 28, 2024..

Honestly, I wouldn't bother... IMHO the only MV that bears comparison to the equivalent live performance is that for 'Choke' - as everyone says, live is where they shine. Speaking of comparison, why not try 'Enter Sandman' from Teatro Metropólitan CDMX. It's a deconstructed version written at the invitation of Metalica for their Blacklist album. For me and many, it beats the original.

    • @spaceknave
      @spaceknave 2 місяці тому

But all their official videos are extremely well done and artistic. They are still better than the videos of countless other bands. Even though everyone clamors for the live sets their OMVs are always still good to see.

    • @zer0thzero428
      @zer0thzero428 2 місяці тому

@@spaceknave for me: live they feed off each other, the crowd feeds off them, and they then feed off the crowd... in a glorious feedback loop that animates the experience. I've recorded with a band and it's often an isolating experience. Instrument and vocal parts aren't generally recorded at the same time. Even the instrument parts are usually done separately (in space or time) to prevent, for example, drum sounds bleeding into the guitar/bass cabinet microphones, and vice versa. Live is just more organic, if you will.

Hey, a lot of us Jinjer army also follow The Warning. You'd be surprised how many of us prog metalheads also adore just good, old fashioned hard rock. The Warning scratches that Itch in the best way.

You're a lyric guy? Are you aware their second album is a concept album? It tells a story of a girl's unrequited love and her descent into madness. A well constructed story with awesome music. It honestly rivals Pink Floyd.

I’m jealous of people starting their Warning journey, you’ve not scratched the surface yet. As people have mentioned, the Teatro Metropolitan live concert is the Rolls Royce concert to go to, to have your mind blown further, watch Dust to Dust or Disciple from this concert.
While here, you mentioned the Ukrainian band Jinger, I’d like to point you in the direction of another Ukrainian band called The Sixsters. A band formed in 2018 by the then 8-year-old drummer Kate, who already was know for her YT drum cover channel she’d started at age 6. She wanted to join a band, but she lived in a rural area outside Kiev and there was no-one to play with, so her dad advertised for musical kids to form a band, and at ages 7 to 12 The Sixsters were born. They released constant music from 2019 to 2021 on their YT channel and appeared on local TV channels.
Due to the war, they have had some changes to their line-up and are now based in a foreign Country (Germany). Currently are made up of 5 girls aged between 15 and 21, they are holding a spot for one girl whose family returned to Ukraine. They have continued to make music and released 2 albums since 2022 and are starting to get noticed.
Because of school, they have not toured or played live often, they did play at the Glastonbury Festival last year and played a couple of benefit concerts in Germany raising money for orphaned kids in Ukraine.
For their music, they play mainly Rock but their influences are vast. In the movie Forrest Gump, Sally Field’s had an immortal line she gave to Tom Hanks, “life is like a box of chocolates”, these girls are literally a box of chocolates, pick any song and you have no idea what you’re in for. The only thing you’ll know are these girls are talented and what they will play will be very good.

I should have given you a link to a song suggestion. This link is to a song they wrote the day before, the first time they had met up (5 of the 7 member) since the start of the war. played live in a practice room, it called Happiness, the lyrics are a refection of the terrible times they found themselves in. ua-cam.com/video/M9cQ1ILyMJQ/v-deo.html

Just an FYI and to make it hard to pick what to do next, their second album is called Queen of the Murder Scene and it's a concept album or rock novel if you will. All the songs are performed at Lunario CDMX and that album is best watched in order. The Teatro concert came after that and is amazing and music from their current latest album ERROR and some older tracks from the first two albums. They have a new album coming out and four songs have been released and both S!CK official video and Hell They Call a Dream a live video at the Pepsi Center of Hell They Call a Dream are amazing. Another song is in Spanish and is quite good but the title escapes me. Also the official video or MORE and a performance at the same MTV VMAs for MORE are out, but I am not as crazy about that song, some say it's too Pop, and it is a good song, but not my favorite.

Your cats were pretty entertaining in the beginning of the video. Was looking for a cat fight. 🙂 Thanks for promoting The Warning. Since you're into lyrics, they do have lyric videos for 3 of the 4 already released songs from the upcoming album. One of the new songs, S!Ck has both an official music video and a lyric video. I'd recommend the OMV with captions on which gives you the lyrics. Hell You Call a Dream is available as a lyric video, and a live version at the Pepsi Center in Mexico City. Both highly recommended.
