Absolutely loved the video. This is extremely helpful for all doll collectors, including myself. I recently received a 1910's Armand Marseille doll. Unfortunately, most of one eye had broke off years ago, although the pupil is in tact. Her other eye is complete, but chipped where the eye setting tool needs to hold it in place. I'm waiting to buy the necessary materials to get her repaired correctly. In the meantime she's a beautiful "as-is" tlc bisque doll that I'm proud to have in my collection. Thank you so much for the demonstration. Very educational too. 🙂
Thank you Rachel and Linda. This is way easier than what I have had to do for lack of tools. Now I know how it is done. Such a cutie to cause all that ruckus. Hugs to Murray.
Hi! We don’t handle any public repairs so living close wouldn’t help but you can usually find a good doctor through the Doll Doctor’s Association. Thanks for tuning in!
Love this video you two! and id LOVE too see a tutorial on how to set sleep eyes, i have a handwerck girl and her eyes dont open or close anymore and it seems to be because where her real eyelashes are has seemed to come away from her eyelid. thank you again for the wonderful video
Thank you, I busted out some googly kestner eyes out and had no idea how to fix it, this helps, but I have no idea what position they were originally in. 😅
Hi, Rachel! Just beginning to restore my own antique dolls, and am loving your videos. Question! I need some help resetting teeth that have been pushed back, or need to be replaced. I can't seem to find a video here..... Any help is greatly appreciated! :)

Morticians wax works as well :-) The only reason I know this is because I do moulage painting for accident scenes for emergency personnel to practice with. So I have a Lot of morticians wax to create fake scars and such. Started using it for eye setting and it works really well.
I know how to do this type - I need to see one for sleep eyes. My poor Kestner 129 eyes fell out. :( Good tip on the museum wax tho - it appears to be easier to work with than the old eye setting wax.
We do not handle repairs (this is footage of working on our own dolls to help others learn) but you can find repairers through the Doll Doctor’s Association.
does your shop offer repairs? I received a German bisque today and the head was packed poorly and the eyes fell out. tge left eye snapped off the rocker but it didnt shatter. they are sleep eyes and I have no clue on how to repair. I'm also afraid too!
Thank you, I am glad to see the hands on demos. I have always been interested in fixing dolls so these videos are a blessing!
I love the videos of dolls thank you for sharing 👍😃

Hi! Love your videos. Can you tell me what kind of Museum Wax you are using. Apparently there is more than one kind.
Did you ever do the sleep eyes video? I need that one too!
We didn’t. Sorry!!

Can you show how to remove a bisque shoulder head from a leather body

this is great but do you have a video showing how to reset sleeping eyes on a german bisque?
I don’t think we do. I’ll add it to our list of ideas for the future.
@@RachelHoffmanDolls I appreciate it!
What about the eyes still attached to the original eye base? That's the problem I have with several of my dolls whose original wax has failed.
I don't need to REPLACE the eyes, just reattach to original plaster base.
HI! Perhaps contact a doll doctor in the Doll Doctor's Association. Thanks for watching!
I would love to see how to fix broken glass eyes and how to reset them back into the bisque head

Where is this shop in Denver? I need some dolls repaired

@@RachelHoffmanDolls thank you so much!
So no to waist paris of plaster only prepare just a little.
Good idea!
I have a 1950’s walking Ginny doll. Her eyes are stuck closed. Do you have a tutorial on repairing them.
Stick your finger inside the head if you can and manually open them. Or strongly tap the side of the head so they become un-stuck.
Bravissima complimenti saluti dall'Italia.
Why did the video get flagged?
How to set eyes in dome head?
That’s trickier. We don’t have a video on that yet. Recommend contacting someone in The Doll Doctor’s Association.
Oo😊
Definitely less afraid of eyes!
Great!
So annoying she looks off from the camera
At least the elderly lady sounded intelligent
LMAO!!!! Linda and I got a good laugh out of this one!!
