Thanos is just too smart they almost beat him by destroying the mind stone preventing him from being super powerful. Then he just said "I can just reverse time so let me do that" smart ass. But I will say him starting off with two stones and then really having four in the actual movie was actually one of their better tricks. Big brain plays from Marvel
Yeah, using the Time Stone there was rather predictable. As soon as Vision brought up the idea of destroying the Mind Stone, I knew right away what would happen.

@@mlggamer5296 Thanos didn't have to overhear it. I'm saying it was predictable for the audience once we heard the plan. Thanos would obviously just use the Time Stone if one of the others was destroyed right in front of him.

I guess we're so used to having dumb villains that when a Smart one comes along we don't expect him to actually think about a way he could prevail. It's an excellent subversion tactic and why I appreciate what they did in Infinity War

Ralph Bohner was incredibly insulting. Marvel hates bringing the twins together, both in the MCU and the comics. Heck, even in the games!
I actually love the Mandarin twist. Ben Kingsley was terrifying and then the twist was so unexpected and hilarious. Ben Kingsley really shows off his talent and versatility.
The punishment that he recieved in Shang Chi was taken too far imo

@@DonsStudios Well, the Multiverse was mentioned in the first Doctor Strange but it wasn't fully shown. Unless you count the Dark Dimension, Astral Dimension and Mirror Dimensions which are more like planes of existence than the actual multiverse.

If viewers/fans would tone down their huge expectations they wouldn’t be so disappointed. They’re pissed when the movies follow the comics and then pissed if they don’t. I’m glad they “trick” us because predictable movies are boring!
Agreed. Personally, I would fall absolutely in love with Spider-Man: No Way Home if it truly does bring in Multiverse characters from the Raimi and Andrew Garfield universes, I would be unbelievably hyped and excited. However, if that does not happen, I will still have tons of fun if it ends up being a good Spider-Man film like Homecoming and Far From Home.
@@jdmarsh91 Sincerly, I would hate to see them in NWH, considering that putting franchises together is too much for the MCU, and they don't do these kind of thigns to not complicate things.
What we're seeing in 'Loki', as what we will see in 'What If...?', proves that they are making a "in-universe" Multiverse, based only on the MCU chracters and products, so that everything is easier to explain to the audience, and easier to manage and develop for Feige and the Marvel Studios.
@@lucagz6481 Thing is, it has potential to be extremely awesome, and there is so much that can be done, especially with something like Multiverse of Madness coming up. I really hope they take advantage of the fact that Disney owns both the Oz and Star Wars properties, and that they have the OG creator of The Evil Dead directing. Problem is, Kevin Feige has a bad habit of putting jokes and humor first, which led to a fake drunk as 'The Mandarin' and reducing Fox Quicksilver to a glorified dick joke. This problem appears in Thor: Ragnarok as well, as there are fantastically deep scenes that are undercut by cheap laughs
I’d rather have a predictable amazing/hype movie than a unpredictable cringe/boring one.
It’s all about HOW you tell a story, not the story itself; if they already have a good “storyboard” in the comics (in some cases), why not follow them?, those are super-heroes that where born in the comics after all. One of their purposes is show those character and stories for mainstream consumers, but if they show a completely different version, well…
You’re right in a lot of cases. Now I don’t think anyone can blame X-Men fans for getting hype when Evan Peters showed up as Fietro. Most of these though are more the fans fault if they’re mad

Well to me the real Quicksilver died in age of Ultron so the reveal make sense in story standpoint because the theme of the show is about Wanda trauma

Marvel’s biggest “trick” that honestly pissed me off was the Mandarin twist. Mandarin…who’s one of Iron Man’s most iconic villains. It completely took me out of the movie and almost ruined it, especially after the trailers made him seem so menacing and mysterious. The trailers in and of themselves were amazing, but I think they mismarketed the movie as a whole. And they wasted a great talent like Ben Kingsley by making a him a stupid, drug addicted actor. It literally seemed like something Michael Bay might do🙄. Thank God they’re retconning it with Shang-Chi.

Instead of being a wizard with 10 rings (I can understand wanting to get away from the potential Asian stereotype look in the comics) he was a terrorist working from the shadows. Even if they gave him powers, there was still a lot of potential to make him feel fresh and interesting. But, they completely💩the bed🥲
I think legal troubles and values dissonance are the reasons why Iron Man 3’s Fake Mandarin was played by a mixed Anglo-Indian called Ben Kingsley. Disappointing but true!

The thing I hate most about “subverting expectations” in modern screenwriting is that it usually boils down to “How do we not give the viewer what they expected...” while forgetting that step two of “...and then give them something cooler instead?” is the most important part of that question.
Stuff like the Mandarin and Ralph Boner are not simply disappointing because they take away something cool, but because they give us nothing else in return. The Mandarin is revealed to be an unfunny idiot you forget about the minute he’s offscreen and Ralph Boner is...also some dude you forget about the minute they’re offscreen. That’s why it comes off as trolling, because it’s an empty bait and switch. If either twist led to something more interesting or more consequential, or if what we had before the twist wasn’t so great, then people might not have been so pissed.

Probably the best trick Marvel pulled was making Captain Marvel the one who will beat Thanos in Endgame. After seeing her film, I was convinced. But no. It was Iron Man in a heroic heartbreaking sacrifice.
WandaVision Quicksilver/Ralph is the most unpleasant moment for me in the MCU followed by Iron Man 3 and the reveal of Mandarin, finally Hulk in Infinity War/Endgame (rematch with Thanos).
Ok but if you actually read comics you would know John Walker was Cap for a bit before becoming US Agent and that Bucky comes back as Winter Soldier when thought dead all those years, so not really tricking us just following the source material.
Still fuming over the Mandarin twist and that Hulk didn't participate in the Battle of Wakanda or have his rematch with Thanos.
they didn't even have smart hulk in the final fight at the end of endgame. it's like they didn't want them to face off ever again

The funny thing about Mysterio lying about the multiverse is that at that point in the timeline, the multiverse had already been opened up by Sylvie killing He Who Remains in the finale of Loki lol
Had he lived maybe he would have finally be humbled and No Way Home may have been avoided
One thing that never made much sense to me was that the Train scene where Bucky "Fell to his Death" also led to the capture of Dr. Zola. In fact, while a prisoner being interrogated by Tommy Lee Jones' character, Tommy told him that Bucky's death really pissed off Cap. Yet, we later see a scene where Zola is injecting something into Bucky on a table. Now, maybe Bucky had been found and kept captive by Hydra while Zola was setting himself up in SHIELD under Operation Paperclip, but that would not have been for months at least, if not years.
my theory for spiderman no way home:
after mysterio revealed spideys identity to the public, the only way to safe him is showing him as peter parker next to another spiderman (maguire or garfield), so the people think, that mysterio just lied to the public, because they're thinking, that there's no way peter and spidey are the same person seeing them together 😆
well the other spidermen are in the movie so that could happen
I'm still not a fan of the Mandarin twist. And how baring a film that tales place during the 5 year Time Gap, we'll never see Iron Man fight his archenemy.
