I was a big fan of the Brendan Fraser Mummy movies. The fact that we never got to see a fourth one with Antonio Banderas as the villain is just criminal. I’m pretty sure it would’ve been better than anything the Tom Cruise dark universe mummy was.
The third one killed it off especially since Rachel Weisz didn't return
I loved watching those movies growing up. Minus the third one. They established Brendan Fraser as my childhood hero, and after meeting him in real life… He still is happy he’s making a comeback!
I am bummed but glad, because they were going to have Alex’s love interest Lin dead!!!😢😢😢
Rebooting the franchise only made the series’ bad situations worse.

A big part of the problem with the Mummy: Curse of the Dragon Emperor was the recasting of Evelyn (Evie) O'Connell. Maria Bello is a terrific actress, but she lacked the chemistry with Brendan Frasier that Rachel Weisz had with him.
Blame the studio for that. Contrary to popular belief Rachel Weisz was open to the third film but hated the script. Instead of rewriting it they recast a core character and ruined the film by using the script which was boring. They aged Alex by too long as well
If it wasn't for the recast, the third movie would be better. Actually most recast, no matter if the new actor could nail it, is a crime to the origin cast.
I thought she didn’t return cuz they made her character aged too much and she didn’t want to play someone who was so old
I don't blame Rob Cohen for directing the mummy 3
Because I think he was hired to do it because he directed dragonheart back in 1995 and I don't blame Rachel weisz for not being in the mummy 3 because she was pregnant at the time
She wasn't right for the role at all, totally different vibe, attitude and totally different character, I'd say, to me that wasn't Evie.
Aztec themed? Yes. Antonio Banderas as a villain? Fuck yes.
It would be great, I agree, although Banderas is not Mexican and even less Aztec, he's Spanish, he's more of the European type, he doesn't resemble Aztec indigenous people.
It wouldn't make sense.

I would like a Mummy 4 movie but I hope they change it from Aztec to Inca. Because at the end of the 3rd Movie, Johnathan said he was going to Peru which was the land of the Inca (which had known mummies) not the Aztec

I thought they were gonna make a 4th Mummy movie, the 4th one was supposed to focus on Aztec or Inca mythology. At the end of the 3rd one, it's said that mummies were recently discovered in Peru.

Brendon Fraser the mummy is my all time favorite movie since i was a kid it's magical I watched it so many times but I never felt that it's old and I never getting bored marvelous tom cruise is my all time favorite actor but his mummy is not enough than Brendon Fraser mummy its evergreen
My issue mainly with the third installment of The Mummy series was Alex grew up quick. We all wanted to see his teenage life and adventures. And maybe in the 4th installment he could have been an adult.
The canceled Mummy one would have actually made sense because the Aztecs actually had mummies.
The rise of the Aztec mummy sounds like a very interesting movie idea but I know if they have done a script and moive plot we would have to wait for a long time to develop the movie and characters
The Mummy 4 will be the most anticipated 2 years after Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.
Brendan Fraser really needed to come back to his iconic role as the adventurer Rick O'Connell, and hearing that Antonio Banderas as the antagonist's the best concept I've ever heard!
There was a movie called The Prototype and the trailer came out 10 years ago but the movie never came out and I’m still in my feelings because it looked so good. 😭

Empires of the Deep looks like a parody. Specifically like if Tropic Thunder made a parody of a Chinese-American blockbuster, it'd look like that.

I think you update the "Top 10 Cancelled Superhero Movies We Never Got To See" list to a top 20 list because "Batgirl" was cancelled a year before that list.
I know these movies get a lot of hate, but I would’ve actually enjoyed seeing a Green Lantern sequel or a follow up to The

The film Patient Zero starring Matt Smith was announced and then showed as a trailer at Comic-Con International years ago. Yet up to now, there’s still no sign of that in theaters. Not sure what went wrong.

Gladiator was a great movie let's leave it there.....
Though I fully understand James Cameron pulling the flick a sequel to True Lies would've been great. Even the base idea behind a suburban husband and wife being secret agents has some great ties into history with the even greater benefit of being hilarious. Bringing back the character of Simon portrayed by Bill Paxton as a foil of Arnold Schwarzenegger's Harry, regardless of the main plot, would've also added some great comedy to the action.
Bill Paxton passed away a few years back. Quite sadly.
So many things that could have been, so many things we haven't seen.
I would have loved to see sequels to Superman Returns and World War Z as well as the originally planned Ghostbusters 3. Too bad they were all canceled.
Fun Fact: Cutthroat Island I as the reason the Pirate Movie Genre went down for a while. Disney knew that they were going to take on a challenge when they did Pirates of the Caribbean, because of the pirates of the Caribbean movie success the pirate genre came back.
The main success of the Disney Pirates of the Caribbean franchise lies solely with Johnny Depp. No other actor could've portrayed Captain Jack Sparrow and with events of the recent past and his ouster from future movies in that franchise I believe the "pirate genre" will once again die out.
I for one liked Cutthroat Island more than the Caribbean movies.
It's probably just me, but when it comes to Aztec Mummies, robots and masked wrestlers would be better suited to facing them.
Combine them! Brendan Fraser and a luchador facing an undead Aztec mummy. The world will fest on crazy.

Gladiator doesn’t need a sequel. Maximus’ story came to a bittersweet end, but it was a good ending and doesn’t need to be continued

They did the right thing to cancel Gladiator 2 it will be a mega bomb at the box office plus it's over budget.

Allegiant wasn’t perfect, yes, but they still covered some stuff that was in the book primarily the characters. They shouldn’t have leaned too much on the Sci-fi tech elements of the film & should’ve absolutely never tried to make it into a tv movie or spin off!😤
They should’ve taken the risk & followed through in making the second half of the story.
Hopefully with the resurfacing of book to media adaptations like Percy Jackson & Eragon, here’s hoping they’ll do the same for Divergent 😊

Always wanted to see the never was “Rise of the Aztecs”. And an “Brazilian Job” could work now with the original cast having to come out of retirement.

The mummy. In a heartbeat. They were camp, fun, and didn't take themselves too seriously. Hopefully Maria Belo worked on her British accent however as that was pretty flimsy
Although we got District 9, Halo fans agree that Neil Blomkamp would've delivered something special had the project not fallen apart.

Crusade would’ve been cool to see, but TOTAL RECALL 2 was also supposed to be in the pipeline. Verhoeven and Schwarzenegger were said to return and a script was completed. This was around 1997-1999 and was based upon Phillip K Dick’s Minority Report. Arnold apparently “didn’t get” the story and it was said to be far more complex than the first one. Ultimately the film was stuck in development hell until the script was rewritten and repurposed for what would become Speilberg’s “Minority Report”. I wish we could’ve seen TOTAL RECALL 2. Instead we got an awful remake in 2012.
I am a huge fan of Breadan Fraser Mummy movies. Antonio Banderas would make a great Villian for the upcoming The Mummy 4. The problem with the recasting for the roles of Evelyn (Evie) O' Connell I wasn't feeling Maria Bello performances. She was lacking of the chemistry with Breadan Fraser , that Rachel Weisz had with him. Alex(Tom Ford) was all grown up so fast. He was so annoying sometimes. They should bring back Freddie Boath. I really love the chemistry between Freddie Boath and John Hannah on /off screen uncle and nephew, Small Soldiers 2:The Return of Commandos 💖💖💖

I didn not know all these movies were cancelled let alone not hearing some of them. I knew there was a movie the mummy and "Castlevania". That lady looks so nice!❤ True Lies 2 is one of the movies that got banned. I thought "Alien" was one of the movies that was cancelled at the beginning. That would be cool and awesome if a movie of "Alien: Awakening" was released.
Hollywood should pay attention to stuff like this.

I would have liked to see "The Brazilian Job," but with Sir Michael Caine in the leading role. I would have also liked to see the eight empires from #9.

But if the director of the mummy franchise could although head forward to lead the next stories it's because it was still a good feedback in what he got from the two first films, just he should have ignore about the third film
From what I've read the cancelled live-action Castlevania movie was going to adapt the plot of Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness and see Hugh Jackman as lead lycanthrope protagonist Cornell and was going to be directed by James Wan.
And how did focusing on Scott's Alien prequels work out for them? Personally, I hated both Prometheus and Covenant.

Here’s another one: Revenge of the Titans. The third entry in the ‘Clash of the Titans’ remake. The script was written, and some of the cast had signed on to return. The reason it hasn’t been made, is because Sam Worthington (Perseus) didn’t want to reprise the role, as he was dissatisfied with the character.
